Abstract

Introduction,Breast cancer is type of cancer with highest amount of sufferer cancer in Surabaya, including in Puskesmas Kenjeran. From interview result with women of childbearing age in puskesmas Kenjeran, From interviews with women of childbearing age in the clinic Kenjeran , there are still many women who do not take steps to prevent. Women’s prevention against breast cancer is still low, it can effect in about 80% of total cancer sufferer treatment when has reached in advanced stage, so that it can reduce the success of treatment. The study aims to determine the effect of interpersonal relationships and situational and the prevention of breast cancer in women of childbearing age. Method, This study used a descriptive correlational research design with cross sectional approach. Population in this research is 5.340 women of childbearing age at Kelurahan Bulak and Kelurahan Kenjeran Surabaya. The sampling technique used the cluster sampling and obtained 100 samples. Independent variable in this research are interpersonal influence and situasional influence. Dependent variable in this research is primary and secondary prevention of breast cancer. Data analysis using Spearman rho’s statistical tests to determine which variables are associated with the prevention of breast cancer. Result,This research show that there is no correlation between interpersonal influence and prevention of breast cancer with p value= 0,150 (α ≤ 0,05). At the same time for correlation between situational influence variable and prevention of breast cancer variable result p value = 0,043 (α ≤ 0,05).Conclusion and Discussion, It showed that there is no correlation between interpersonal influence with prevention of breast cancer and there is a correlation between situational influence with prevention of breast cancer in women of childbearing age. Interpersonal influence can’t increase the breast cancer prevention in women of childbearing age at Puskesmas Kenjeran , whereas situational influences may increase breast cancer preventive efforts in Puskesmas Kenjeran Surabaya.

Abstract

Background:  Teenagers have problems related to personal hygiene during menstrual periods due to lack of explanation and health services. Lesser sources of information lead to lower knowledge and will impact on the attitudes and actions of teenagers. Edutainment of ladders snakes can be applied as a solution to this problem. Objective: The purpose of this study was to explain  the effect of  ladders snakes edutainment to teenagers behavior about personal hygiene menstruation. Methods: Quasy experiment was used to design this study with the sample consist of 33 respondents for each treatment and control group.  Data were obtained from questionnaire to measure teenagers’ knowledge, attitude, and action about  personal hygiene menstruation. Analysis data of this study was using nonparametric method based on Wilcoxonn Signed Rank tests and Mann Whitney U-Test with significance value α ≤ 0,05. Results:  The results of the study showed an increase in knowledge (p = 0,000), attitudes (p = 0,000), and action (p = 0,000) after intervention of the treatment group. This data is also reinforced by statistical analysis Mann Whitney U-Test shows significant differences for knowledge (p = 0,000), attitude (p = 0,000), and action (p = 0,000). Conclusion:  The conclusion is edutainment of ladder snakes has an effect on improving teenagers behavior about personal hygiene of menstruation. As an educator, nurse could be use edutainment of ladder snakes for  alternative for gives entertain health education on school.

Abstract

Hormonal contraception type injectable contraceptives increasingly popular in Indonesia because of its practical, cost-effective, and safe. Side effects of use injectable contraceptives is changes in nutritional status. Nutritional status is a measure in the assessment of nutritional fulfillment that reflects a person's health status. Changes in nutritional status are multifactorial like husband’s support. This study aims to explain the relationship between husband’s support with nutritional status on injectable contraceptives acceptor. This study used cross sectional design. The sample in this research is women of childbearing age who use injectable contraceptive of Puskesmas Gading Surabaya region obtained by purposive sampling technique. Independent variable is husband’s support. The dependent variable is the nutritional status of injectable contraceptives acceptor. The instruments in this study were questionnaires and BMI measurements. To find out the relationship, this study uses Spearman correlation test. Husband’s support with nutritional status on injectable contraceptives acceptor, obtained result p = 0,00 (r) = -0,546. The husband’s support with nutritional status on injectable contraceptives acceptor has a moderate correlation with negative correlation coefficient, it means that less respondents get support from their husbands, nutritional status will increase until they get overweight or obese. It is necessary to increase the involvement of husbands in deciding the use of contraception, so women of childbearing age of injecting contraceptives acceptor receives adequate husband’s support.

Abstract

Background: The Marmet technique is a safe way to stimulate the breast to produce more milk. The administration of Marmet techniques to mothers who produced little to no amount of breast milk showed good results. Palms and fingers are recommended for breast milk milking due to them being practical, effective and efficient. Purpose: To determine the effect of Marmet technique on maternal satisfaction in breastfeeding. Method: This research applied quasi experiment design. There were 40 respondents, each consisting of a treatment group and a control group that met the inclusion criteria. Data were collected using questionnaires and observation sheet. The data were then analyzed using Mann Whitney and Wilcoxon’s Test (? <0.05). Results: Statistical test results ofWilcoxon Signed Rank Test in the treatment group with the value of sig (2-tailed) obtained p = 0.000 in which p <0.05 indicates that there is a significant effect of Marmet technique on maternal satisfaction in breastfeeding. However, the control group obtained p = 0.083 in which p> ?>0.05, meaning that there is no significant effect of Marmet technique on maternal satisfaction in breastfeeding. Conclusion: The satisfaction of the mother in breastfeeding has increased after being intervened with Marmet technique.

Abstract

Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) is a menstrual cycle disorder that frequently appears in women. As a result of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) virus pandemic, the school from home program was implemented, which could affect physical activity and anxiety and therefore increase the incidence of PMS. This cross-sectional research analyzed the relationship between physical activity and anxiety with PMS in adolescents. The population was 221 adolescent girls in Surabaya, Indonesia. A consecutive sampling technique was used to select the 143 respondents. The independent variables were physical activity and anxiety while the dependent variable was PMS. The data was collected using a questionnaire and analyzed by the Spearman Rho test with a level of significance α<0.05. The results showed no significant correlation between physical activity and PMS among adolescents, however there was a significant correlation between anxiety and PMS in adolescents (p=0.000; r=0.463). Adolescents with anxiety have higher risk of PMS. The higher level of anxiety will be the more severe the symptoms of PMS.

Abstract

Cervical cancer incidences have tremendous effects on patients' quality of life and their families and affect government health expenditure. Prevention and early detection action are urgently needed. This study aimed to analyze the prevention behavior of cervical cancer of fertile ages women based on the Health Promotion Model. This study involved 196 samples taken by cluster sampling. Independent variables included personal factors, including ages, perceived health status and culture, perceived benefits, perceived barriers, self-efficacy and attitudes related to activities, husband's support, and situational influences. The dependent variable was the behavior of cervical cancer prevention. Data were collected using a questionnaire then analyzed by logistic regression with α<0.05. There was a relationship between perceived barriers (p=0.004) and situational influences (p=0.021) with cervical cancer prevention behavior. However, there is no relationship between personal factors, perceived benefits, self-efficacy, attitudes related to activity, and husband's support. Further research can be conducted through a qualitative framework to explore cervical cancer prevention of fertile age’s women.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Penggunaan jenis implan masih banyak digunakan di Indonesia. Namun, penggunaan kontrasepsi ini dapat menimbulkan efek negatif pada status gizi pengguna. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran status gizi akseptor KB Implan di Wilayah Surabaya. Metodologi: deskiptif analitik dengan desain cross sectional, 102 orang (sampel) yang didapat dengan teknik purposive sampling. Sampel penelitian adalah akseptor KB Implan di Wilayah Surabaya. Hasil: Hasil status gizi akseptor KB Implan di Wilayah Surabaya menunjukkan bahwa akseptor dengan status gizi kurang 3 akseptor (2,9%), status gizi normal 65 akseptor (65%), status gizi overweight  15 akspetor (14,7%), dan status gizi obesitas 19 akseptor (18,7%). Diskusi: Gambaran status gizi pada akseptor KB Implan di Wilayah Surabaya memiliki status gizi yang baik, namun perlu dikembangkan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi status gizi akseptor KB implan.

Abstract

Community empowerment in healthy behaviour can be started from the family (household) as the smallest unit of society which has strategic value in the implementation of health development. Important efforts need to be made by providing understanding to increase awareness in implementing a clean and healthy lifestyle, especially in the Covid-19 pandemic situation. This community service program supported by LPPM and the Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Airlangga aims to increase public awareness about the adaptation of new habits in the Covid-19 pandemic era and implement clean and healthy living habits from a family structure. The activity was carried out in the village area of Kandangan, Cerme District, Gresik Regency. The enthusiastic device provided support for activities involving 2 midwives and 35 cadres. The activity method is in the form of interactive counselling to posyandu cadres with lectures, discussions, demonstrations, and evaluations. The results of the activity showed that the cadres who participated in the activity had a good level of knowledge (77.14%) and most of the attitudes were positive (91.4%). Demonstration of how to use a mask and six steps of washing hands are well followed. It is necessary to increase community resilience during the Covid-19 pandemic through healthy behaviours of self-anticipation (PERISAI ) by fostering good health values in the family.

Abstract

Backgrounds :  Cervical cancer is second most diseases suffered by women. Chemotherapy is primary treatment for cervical cancer. Chemotherpy has some side effect, and one of them is diarrhea. Diarrhea make cervical cancer suffered more. The purpose of this research was to analyze the correlation of factor’s that cause diarrhea on  cervical cancer.Methods : This research uses descriptive analitic method with retrospective design. The population in this research is all patients who had post first chemotherapy. Sample in this study were 21 respondents, with purposive sampling. Variable independent were type of chemotherapy drugs, character of chemotheraphy, staging, stress and dietary. Variable dependent was diarrhea. Data collected using quesionare. Data were analyzed using chi square test with level of significant α≤0,05.Results : The result of the study reveals that type of the chemotherapy drug p:0,598, character of chemotheraphy p:0,336,. Staging  has correlation with diarrhea significant of p:0,022. Stress and dietary analysisis presented p:0,00. It means that there was significant correlation with diarrhea.Conclusion : It can be concluded that diarrhea  incident  related to staging, stress and dietarry. There‘s no correlation between type of chemotherapy drug, character of chemotheraphy with diarrhea Further studies should give health education about dietary causing diarrhea, chemotherapy procedural and sides effect’s, increase supports for patient with cervical cancer.
