Abstract

Introduction: Preschoolers inclined has many health problem that always threatening and able to impact quality of life such as, general health problems, behavioral disorders, learning disorders, and developmental disorders. One of the health problems in preschool children is enuresis. To overcome this problem can be done by using toilet training to train and teach children to be able to control bowel movements and urinating. The purpose of this study to determine how the relationship of learning toilet training in preschool children (5-6 years) with enuresis in Pakusari District. Method: This study uses quantitative non-experimental analysis that is correlational using a cross-sectional study with the sampling technique Probability Sampling by means of Purposive Sampling and obtained are 252 respondents. Data analysis using Chi Square test. Result: The results (X2 = 21,378; p-value = 0,0001) it can be concluded that there is a relationship between learning Toilet Training in preschool children (5-6 years) with enuresis in Pakusari District. There are several factors that influence learning toilet training such as the environment and education. Conclusion: The family environment is very influential because family has important effect for child. At stage of child growth the parents must attention to see the child’s readiness for receive learning toilet training.   Keywords: Preschoolers; Enuresis; Toilet Training.

Abstract

Introduction: Advancement technology and information benefit societies by way telehealth access, including those with diabetes mellitus. Telehealth implementation in diabetes mellitus management is a great solution of increasing access to healthcare and reducing geographical inequalities. Nevertheless, the effectiveness of service among people living with diabetes remains inconsistant. This review aims to summarize and evaluate the evidence on the effectiveness of telehealth on quality of life in type 2 diabetes mellitus Method: This review considers the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyzes (PRISMA) guideline. The results reported in descriptive narrative approach. The following databases; Scopus, Science Direct, PubMed, and Web of Science were comprehensively searched to find article from January, 1st 2018 to December 31st 2023. Inclusion was made to English and full-text article. Results: Two articles were included in the final review. A total of 482 type 2 DM patients were used telehealth. Findings on the impacts of the usability of telehealth on the QoL of Type 2 DM is telehealth relevant alternative to the care of DFU patients, with stable health, well-being and quality of life conditions and smartphone application-based interventions in the management of type 2 DM show that the quality of life in the following four dominants; psychological, social, environmental, and physical health revealed significant improvements Conclusions: Telehealth has good potential to be developed in the service of diabetes mellitus patients. The following internet-based delivered mode; web, and smartphones improve the quality of life and the well-being of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. However, lack of studies measuring the effectivity of telehealth among people with diabetes mellitus. Future development of internet-based interventions should further take into consideration the consolidated set of diabetes mellitus principles. Abstract

Introduction: Tuberculosis (TB) remains a major public health problem worldwide, including in Indonesia. Adherence to the therapeutic regimen is one of the indicators in TB management. However, dropout rates among those undergoing TB therapeutic regimens were found to be high. This study aims to review published articles on the usefulness of mobile health apps for adherence to TB treatment regimens and among healthcare workers. Method: This systematic review applied the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyzes (PRISMA) guideline. The results were reported using a descriptive-narrative approach. The following databases: Scopus, Pubmed, and Proquest were comprehensively searched to find articles from January 1st, 2018 to June1st, 2022. Inclusion was made for English and full-text articles. Results: Fourteen (14) articles were yielded. A total of 2.408 TB sufferers and health workers use the mobile health application. Findings on the impacts of the usability of mobile health applications on the adherence of TB’s treatment regimen: TB sufferers mostly use mobile health to access information about TB via Short Message Service (SMS), WhatsApp Messenger, voice or telephone calls, video-observed therapy (VOT), or a toll-free mobile health modification, namely 99DOTS. Conclusions: Mobile health applications tend to benefit people living with TB. The findings of the study emphasize the importance of mobile health applications for TB management. Mobile health apps increase patients motivation to adhere to the recommended regimen, which is one of the key TB management strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the effect of telehealth on diet compliance in CKD patients. The research method used systematic review sought relevant articles using MeSH-based keywords. Relevant full-text articles were retrieved from four databases: Scopus, PubMed, Science Direct, and ProQuest. Research guidelines followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). The results showed that Telehealth programs can increase patient knowledge about the disease, treatment, laboratory results that show better results, and compliance. Telehealth interventions are promising avenues for CKD treatment delivery due to advances in technology and information. Telehealth programs may represent windows of opportunity, diet education, counselling with dieticians, sharing experience with others resulted improving patient’s knowledge on the disease, treatment, and compliance. Future telehealth programs that focus on developing the contents of telehealth modules based on evidence from this study. Keywords: Telehealth, Chronic Kidney Disease, Compliance, Health Service

Long-term uncontrolled hyperglycemia can trigger damage to the nervous system and blood vessels, which can cause diabetic foot ulcer. One of the ways to prevent diabetic foot ulcer by optimizing the use of footwear and insole. Methods: This systematic review aimed to summarize and evaluate the evidence for footwear and insole for the prevention of diabetic foot ulcer. Literature search was conducted for the last 5 years (2018-2023) in English on four databases, Scopus, Science Direct, PubMed, and Web of Science. Using footwear or insoles as intervention in patient with diabetic to prevent of diabetic foot ulcer were reviewed. Writing search results for articles is compiled using checklist and flow diagrams PRISMA. The analysis was descriptive with a narrative approach. Full-text article leaving 8 research articles for review. Results: The result of the article review analysis found innovation in the prevention of diabetic foot ulcers and the prevention of recurrence of diabetic foot ulcers by using footwear and insoles. 5 articles investigated the prevention of diabetic foot ulcers and 3 articles investigated the prevention of recurrence of diabetic foot ulcers using the innovative use of footwear and insoles, all articles stated that the intervention of using footwear and insoles in diabetic prevent diabetic ulcers from occurring and could prevent recurrence of foot ulcers diabetic. Conclusions: The literature review obtained shows that interventions using footwear and insoles can be implemented in people with diabetes mellitus to prevent diabetic foot ulcer. Keywords: Diabetic foot, Foot ulcer, Footwear, and Insoles

Abstract

Pendahuluan & Tujuan: Diabetes Mellitus Tipe 2 (DMT2) merupakan gangguan metabolik kronis yang ditandai dengan hiperglikemi dan dapat menyebabkan komplikasi serius yang diakibatkan tidak menerpakan diet yang tepat. Penderita DMT2 mengalami kesulitan dalam menjaga kepatuhan diet sehingga seringkali kurang kesadaran dalam menjaga pola makan. Pengabidan masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengoptimalisasikan kepatuhan diet penderita DMT2 melalui latihan mindfulness based on eating. Metode Pelaksanaan: Pengabdian Masyarakat ini menggunakan pendeketan Plan, Implementation, and Evaluation (PIE) di Kota Surabaya. Pelaksanaan program melibatkan 15 responden penderita DMT2. Kegiatan dimulai dari perencenaan yang dilukan dengan memperisiapkan materi yang akan disampaikan, dilanjutkan dengan implementasi pemberian edukasi terkait mindfulness based on eating, kepatuhan diet, dan konsep DMT2. Evaluasi pemahaman dilakukan dengan pengisian kuoesioner oleh responden. Hasil Kegiatan: terdapat pengaruh latihan mindfulness-based on eating terhadap kepatuhan diet pada penderita diabetes melitus tipe 2 dengan nilai pre-test hasil rata-rata (45.20) dan post-test hasil rata-rata (65.53). Diskusi: Latihan mindfulness-based on eating dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan meningkatkan kepatuhan diet pada penderita DMT2
