Abstract

In elementary schools (SD), KIT IPA equipment is used to practice teaching and learning activities that teachers have not used to their full potential. Kit of knowledge and management abilities Teachers require IPA SD to advance their school. The management of KIT IPA is less effective and has become a major issue for elementary schools (SD) Group IV Cakranegara. The goal of this community service activity is to teach people about the names of the tools in some SD IPA KIT IPA SD, how to use them, and how to use KIT IPA SD in the learning process. This devotional activity employs lecture methods, simulations, and practical work. This activity was held in SD Negeri 1 Cakranegara, with as many as 28 teachers participating. The activities' outcomes demonstrated that participants gained knowledge and skills on how to teach IPA by utilizing KIT IPA tools for practical work activities. Based on observations from practical work, the average value of process skills of teachers was 70 and classified quite well. The positive response from teachers in mentoring activities indicates that this activity is running smoothly, and it is expected that there will be additional training for other KIT equipment as a result of this activity.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan agar guru-guru SD di kota Mataram mampu merancang dan menerapkan pembelajaran IPA berbasis inkuiri berbantuan KIT yang tersedia di sekolah. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah mengadakan pelatihan penggunaaan KIT IPA dengan tahapan (1) mengenalkan nama alat dan fungsinya, (2) mensimulasikan penggunaan KIT dalam pembelajaran IPA berbasis inkuiri, (3) pendampingan praktik penggunaan KIT IPA untuk menemukan konsep-konsep IPA dan diskusi penerapannya dalam pembelajaran. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan antusiasme yang sangat tinggi untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan dalam merancang dan menerapkan pembelajaran IPA berbasis inkuiri berbantuan KIT. Guru-guru mulanya kurang menguasai penggunaan KIT atau tidak pernah menggunakannya dalam pembelajaran menjadi lebih mengetahui dan memahami cara menggunakan KIT dalam pembelajaran IPA berbasis inkuiri. Kegiatan ini akan ditindaklanjuti dengan mengadakan kegiatan yang sama secara berkala dan pendampingan untuk memaksimalkan kemampuan guru menggunakan KIT dalam pembelajaran. Keywords: Pelatihan Pembelajaran IPA, Inkuiri, KIT, Guru SD

Abstract

Di era pandemi Covid-19, guru dituntut untuk mencari suatu inovasi dalam proses kegiatan pembelajaran. Disamping itu tuntutan pembelajaran sekarang ini guru perlu menerapkan pembelajaran yang berpusat pada siswa yang dapat mengembangkan kecakapan Abad 21. Kemampuan seperti berpikir kritis, memecahkan masalah, kolaborasi dan kecakapan berkomunikasi diharapkan untuk selalu diasah walaupun dalam kondisi pembelajaran jarak jauh. Salah satu pendekatan pembelajaran yang dapat dikembangkan agar siswa memiliki kecakapan itu apabila guru mampu mengembangkan pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menambah pengetahuan guru dalam proses mengembangkan pembelajaran yang inovatif dan menarik di massa pandemi Covid-19. Kegiatan pelatihan dan pendampingan pembelajaran berbasis proyek ini diharapkan mampu memberikan gambaran bagi guru di sekolah mitra dalam merancang kegiatan pembelajaran berbasis proyek dan penerapannya. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah dengan metode observasi, diskusi dan simulasi dan pendampingan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan antusiasme guru yang sangat tinggi dalam mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan. Guru merasa mendapatkan wawasan dan pengetahuan dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran berbasis proyek di kelas. Dalam kegiatan pendampingan guru telah berhasil membuat rancangan pembelajaran berbasis proyek dan mencoba menerapkan ke dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Kegiatan ini akan ditindaklanjuti dengan mengadakan kegiatan yang sama secara berkala dan pendampingan untuk memaksimalkan guru dalam merancang dan melaksanakan pembelajaran proyek sehingga dapat meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam mengembangkan pembelajaran yang inovatif.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan multimedia interaktif fisika dan menganalisis implikasinya dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian dan pengembangan pendidikan (Educational Research and Development). Jenis penelitian R&D adalah suatu proses yang digunakan untuk mengembangkan dan memvalidasi produk-produk pendidikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa multimedia interaktif yang dikembangkan terbukti mampu membantu mahasiswa untuk memahami konsep fisika dengan  lebih baik, khususnya pada konsep-konsep fisika abstrak yang telah divisualisasikan. Beberapa konsep yang mengalami peningkatan tertinggi antara lain optik geometri (58,2%), gaya sentral (68,8%), temperatur dan pemuaian (71,7%), hukum Coulomb (68,6%). Semua konsep tersebut umumnya merupakan konsep yang abstrak. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa visualisasi pada konsep abstrak tersebut dapat dikategorikan berhasil membantu mahasiswa memahami konsep dengan lebih baik. Pada konsep-konsep dengan persamaan matematis yang dominan, umumnya peningkatan penguasaan konsep pada kedua kelas tidak berbeda secara signifikan.Kata kunci: Multimedia Interaktif, Penguasaan Konsep Fisika Abstract: The purpose of this research are to develop an interactive multimedia on physics and analyze its implications in learning. This is an educational research and development. R&D is a process used to develop and validate educational products. The results showed that the developed interactive multimedia proven to help students to understand the concepts of physics better, especially on abstract concepts of physics that has been visualized. Some of the concepts that experienced the highest increase among others the optical geometry (58.2%), central force (68.8%), temperature and expansion (71.7%), Coulomb's law (68.6%). All of these concepts are generally an abstract concept. It shows that the visualization of abstract concepts which can be considered successful in helping students understand the concepts better. Concepts with mathematical equations dominant, generally increasing mastery of concepts in both classes did not differ significantly.Keywords: Interactive Multimedia, Student’s Understanding of Physics

Abstract

There are many abstract concepts in physics. This raises its own difficulties in learning physics. The difficulty in teaching abstract concepts can be solved using computer technology. Computer technology presents opportunities for learning abstract concepts, such as through the use of interactive multimedia in learning physics. In this study has developed an interactive multimedia on the concept of electricity. This study aims to examine the impact of the use of interactive multimedia on student mastery of the concept of electricity. The results showed an increase in mastery of concepts in both classes. The highest increase occurred in the concept of Coulomb's law, which is 68.6% (experimental group) and 48% (control group). Mastery electric concept experimental group is greater than the control group, indicates that interactive multimedia effective in supporting the process of learning physics.

Abstract

This study aims to develop problem-based learning  device in terms of  validity and student responses. Learning device was developed covering  the syllabus, lesson plans, fundamental of physics  textbook, exsperiment in fundamental physics , worksheets, and learning outcome test. The expected benefits of this research is the problem-based learning tools that can be used as an alternative to the lecturer of the fundamental of physics learning in FKIP  Mataram of University.This refers to the process of developing 4D models (define, design, develop, disseminate). The results validate the lecturer learning device consisting of a syllabus, lesson plans, fundamental of physics  textbook, experiment in fundamental physics , worksheets, and learning outcome test successivelyobtained scores of 2.65, 2.68, 3.30, 3.25, 2.285 and 3.14 are decent categorized. Student learning outcomes is seen from indicators of student achievement of cognitive learning and experiment processes value  row gets a percentage of 76.80%  and 78.50%, while the scientific attitude  students which amounted  average value of 76.42 and scientific attitude  students can be interpreted good categorized. The positive student responses which amounted to 85.90%. From the validation results, student learning outcomes and student responses can be interpreted decent  device.

Abstract

This research is a quasi-experimental aims to finding out the impact of problem-based learning model assist with interactive simulation of the results of learning physics of grade VIII SMPN 1 Pujut in academic year 2013/2014. The design of this research used of non-equivalent control group design, while the sampling technique used purposive sampling. The population of  this research is students of grade VIII SMPN 1 Pujut with 227 students, while the sampling are the students of grade VIII 1 as the experimental group and the students of grade VIII 6 as control group. The data result studying analyzed by t-test two tail using formulas polled variance. Obtain values thint = 2,519 and ttable =2,013 on degree of free is 47 with 5% significant degree. Because  thint > ttable ,then  Ho will be rejected and Ha will be accepted which indicates that there is significant the impact of problem-based learning model assist with interactive simulation of the results of learning physics grade VIII SMPN 1 Pujut in academic year 2013/2014.

Abstract

This research is a pre-experimental research with one group pretest – posttest design. The aim of this research is to know the efectivity of the conceptual changes model to solve the physics misconception of students in grade X SMAN 1 Praya Barat for academic year 2012/2013. The population is all of the students grade X SMAN 1 Praya Barat, it is 273 students and the sample is grade X.6, its 33 students that taking by using purposive sampling technique. The misconception data analized using gain value and N-gain. We get gain value (G) 17,5 % and N-gain <g> 0,65 with medium criteria. It’s mean that the conceptual changes model is efective to solve the student misconception in grade X SMAN 1 Praya Barat with medium criteria.

Abstract

This research is research experiments with a purpose to knows the effect of physics learning using direct instruction (DI) throught corrective models toward result of study physics on grade VIII SMPN 2 Labuhan Haji in academic year 2013/2014. This research using the Nonequivalent Multiple Groups Pretest Posttest Design. The technique to obtain the sample using purposive sampling technique. The population in this research is all the Classes VIII SMPN 2 Labuhan Haji. Whereas it’s Sample obtained by the student on Grade VIII E as the experiment class and VIII F as the control class. The data result studying analyzed by t-test two tail using formulas separated variance. From the result of research obtained from materials of pressure and vibration and wave is tcount = 2,646 and tcount =6,004, whereas ttable = 2,012 on degree of free is 56 with standard significant is 5%. Because  tcount on preesure materials and vibration and wave materials biger than ttable ,so Ho will be rejected and Ha will be accepted which indicate that there are effects of physics learning using  direct instruction (DI) throught corrective models toward the result studying physics on grade VIII SMPN 2 Labuhan Haji in academic year 2013/2014.

Abstract

This study is an experimental aims to finding out the effect of problem based learning through experimental methods on student’s physics science process skills of SMA Negeri 1 Selong academic year 2014/2015. The design of this study used pretest-posttest control group design, while the sampling technique used cluster random sampling. The population of this study is students of grade X Science Program SMA Negeri 1 Selong, while the samples are the students of class X 1 (experimental group) and class X 4 (control group). The instrument of this study is the science process skills test. The result data was analyzed by t-test pooled variant two tails. Obtain values thint = 5.38, ttable = 1.99 at the significance level of 5%. Because - ttable < thint > + ttable, then Ho will be rejected and Ha will be accepted which indicates that there is significant the effect of problem based learning through the experimental method on physics science process skills of students of SMA Negeri 1 Selong academic year 2014/2015.
