Abstract

This research discusses the moral education found in “Wasiat Renungan Masa” by TGKH. Muhammad Zainuddin Abdul Madjid through an examination of Ibn Miskawaih's moral philosophy. The aim of this study is focused on understanding moral education within “Wasiat Renungan Masa” by using the lens of Ibn Miskawaih's moral philosophy. The research method employed is a literature analysis, which includes the identification of research objectives, data identification, data collection, data selection, data extraction, thematic analysis, comparison, contrast, pattern identification, as well as research conclusions and implications. The results of this study indicate that moral education in "Wasiat Renungan Masa" by TGKH. Muhammad Zainuddin Abdul Madjid, as examined through the philosophy of Ibn Miskawaih, emphasizes the importance of self-development and morality in living life. Through concepts of self-discipline, moral exercises, and the cultivation of good character, humans have the potential to attain spiritual happiness and moral perfection. The conclusion of this research provides a deeper insight into the moral values within these works and their relevance in the context of contemporary moral education. This research has practical implications in the development of moral education, the formation of individual character, and the enrichment of moral thought in an increasingly complex and changing society.

Abstract

Fazlur Rahman, a prominent Islamic thinker who advocated a contextual and relevant approach to contemporary developments. This study aims to examine and analyze the concept of recontextualization of Islamic educational thought within Fazlur Rahman's intellectual framework. The research method employed is document analysis, involving critical reading and evaluation of Fazlur Rahman's writings and relevant literature. The findings of this research emphasize a deeper understanding of the recontextualization approach to Islamic educational thought proposed by Fazlur Rahman, and how this thinking can significantly contribute to addressing the challenges of Islamic education in the modern context. The conclusion of this study provides a better understanding of the recontextualization of Islamic educational thought within Fazlur Rahman's intellectual framework, offering valuable insights for educators, social scientists, and practitioners of Islamic education in their efforts to develop relevant and meaningful Islamic education in the contemporary era.

Abstract

Keaktifan peserta didik merupakan konsekuensi logis dari pembelajaran yang seharunya. Artinya merupakan tuntunan logis dari hakekat belajar mengajar. Hampir tak pernah terjadi proses belajar tanpa adanya keaktifan peserta didik yang belajar. Permasalahannya terletak dalam kadar atau bobot keaktifan belajar peserta didik. Ada keaktifan kategori rendah, sedang dan adapula tinggi. Adapun tujuan dalam penelitian ini ialah Guru diharapkan mampu membangkitkan perhatian dan keaktifan siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan   penelitian   kualitatif   deskriptif, pengumpulan   data   dilakukan   dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil pada penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa Strategi peningkatan keaktifan siswa dalam pembelajaran di SMP IT al-baqiyatusshalihat NW santong ialah strategi yang berupa metode dan strategi yang berupa media sedangkan Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kurang aktifnya siswa dalam pembelajaran di SMP IT Al-Baqiyatusshalihat NW Santong ialah faktor internal dan faktor eksternal.

Abstract

This current study examines how the local wisdom of Sasak aristocrats can enhance moral education in pesantren. This study focuses on utilising indigenous wisdom by the Sasak aristocrats to enhance moral education in pesantren. This study employs a qualitative approach with a research design centred on the case study. The study was conducted at Pondok Pesantren Selaparang in Kediri, West Lombok, and was chosen for its unique expertise in utilising advanced Sasak language and cultures. Data collection is carried out through interviews, observations, and documentation. This study employed the interactive analysis technique proposed by Miles, Huberman, and Saldana, which includes data collection, condensation, presentation, and conclusion drawing. This current study demonstrates that moral education is strengthened through the noble Sasak local knowledge at Pondok Pesantren Selaparang in Kediri, West Lombok using several approaches: 1) Implementing Sasak Alus language in Islamic lectures at pesantren; 2) Providing role models; 3) Establishing habits through daily routines; 4) Conducting speech training (muḥāḍarah); 5) Organising speech competitions; 6) Engaging students in social, cultural, and religious events. This current study contributes to enhancing moral teaching in pesantren by theoretically and practically incorporating local wisdom.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi integrasi kearifan lokal dalam pendidikan agama di Lombok untuk membentuk karakter religius siswa. Meskipun banyak studi membahas pendidikan karakter dan nilai lokal dalam kurikulum, penelitian spesifik mengenai implementasi tradisi khas Lombok, seperti Pesta Begawe, Nyongkolan, Maulid Adat Bayan, dan Ngejot, dalam pendidikan agama masih terbatas. Pendekatan holistik yang mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal ke dalam kurikulum dan metode pembelajaran juga belum banyak diteliti. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi analisis kurikulum, studi tradisi masyarakat Lombok, serta observasi praktik Ngejot di Desa Lenek. Analisis dilakukan secara tematik dan deskriptif, dengan triangulasi data untuk menjaga validitas hasil penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tradisi lokal memiliki peran penting dalam pendidikan agama. Tradisi Pesta Begawe, Nyongkolan, dan Maulid Adat Bayan berkontribusi terhadap pembentukan nilai moral siswa, sementara tradisi Ngejot memperkuat identitas sosial dan keterlibatan komunitas. Integrasi kearifan lokal dalam pendidikan agama dapat meningkatkan pemahaman keagamaan, kepedulian sosial, serta pengembangan etika dan keterampilan sosial siswa. Implikasi akademiknya mencakup pengembangan kurikulum berbasis budaya, metode pengajaran kontekstual, serta kajian lebih lanjut tentang pendidikan karakter berbasis tradisi lokal. Keterlibatan orang tua dan pemanfaatan teknologi diperlukan untuk mendukung pelestarian budaya. Integrasi kearifan lokal dalam pendidikan tidak hanya memperkuat identitas budaya, tetapi juga meningkatkan harmoni sosial dan kualitas pembelajaran berbasis nilai.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the contribution of the Al-Abror Nurul Iman Quran Education Park (TPQ) in the formation of children's morals in Kebon Ayu Village, Gerung District, West Lombok. The background of this study is the importance of early religious education in forming children's character and morality, especially through non-formal institutions such as TPQ. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that TPQ Al-Abror Nurul Iman not only plays a role in teaching reading and writing the Qur'an, but also provides guidance on moral values through the methods of habituation, role models, and advice. Supporting factors for the formation of noble morals include the involvement of ustadz/ustadzah, parental support, and structured religious activity programs. While inhibiting factors include lack of facilities and infrastructure, limited teaching staff, and the influence of the social environment and media. Thus, TPQ Al-Abror Nurul Iman makes a significant contribution in forming children with noble character amidst the challenges of the times. Keywords: Contribution, TPQ, Formation of Good Morals.

Abstract

This study examines AI's dual impact in Islamic Studies courses at PTIs, addressing the gap in student perspectives on benefits/limitations. Amidst digital transformation and the need to align technology with Islamic values, this study examines how AI facilitates or impedes spiritually deep learning, thereby guiding ethical integration that preserves core pedagogical principles. A qualitative case study design approach was used, with data collected through semi-structured interviews with 11 active AI student users, participant observation of AI use in lectures, and analysis of AI-assisted lecture documents. Braun and Clarke's thematic data analysis model was applied, with cross-source triangulation to ensure validity. Five key benefits emerged: enhanced efficiency (e.g., rapid drafting), broader access to references, improved conceptual understanding, practical academic support, and enriched learning processes. Conversely, five limitations were identified: deficits in contextual religious knowledge (e.g., oversimplifying sacred texts), accuracy/reliability issues, inadequate referencing, academic dependency (reduced critical thinking), and technical barriers (e.g., internet instability). Findings reflect a single institution’s student cohort, limiting generalizability; variability in AI tool quality among participants may also influence results. Implications include the need for AI literacy modules, specialized Islamic datasets, and offline AI solutions to address inequities in resource-limited regions. This research pioneers two frameworks of AI-Ready Islamic Pedagogy (Critical Verification, Contextual Adaptation, Balanced Integration) and Hybrid Epistemology (combining AI pattern recognition with sanad-based knowledge validation).
