Abstract

Students' critical thinking skills need to be practiced from the beginning of learning in school. However, not all learning facilitates the improvement and habituation of critical thinking, causing students' critical thinking skills to be low. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a module that can support the habituation of critical thinking skills, especially for Biophysics courses. This type of research is a development with procedures that refer to the model proposed by Plomp and Nieveen. The module that has been developed is then tested for validity by experts, namely 4 lecturers consisting of 2 lecturers of Physics Education and 2 lecturers of Indonesian Language. Based on the validity test results, it was found that the Biophysics Module based on the Scientific Reading Based Project (SRBP) Model was in the valid category. Thus, it can be concluded that the Biophysics module based on the Scientific Reading Based Project (SRBP) Model can be used to train students' critical thinking skills. After getting the results of the module validity test which was declared valid, then the module that has been developed can proceed to the practicality and effectiveness tests.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to review the development and application of creative problem solving learning model especially in the last 1 decades. Research method used in this study was literature review. We collected  more than 20 references related to the history, development, and application of the CPS model.  Data collection technique used was through literature study. The results of this study obtained some types of CPS models such as CPS version Treffinger, CPS version Osborn, and CPS published by Creative Education Foundation. The CPS model proposed by the Creative Education Foundation is the latest and best model because it was developed to improve the previous CPS model. Each CPS Model has different steps with some similar goals. CPS is applied at several levels of education for learning Natural Sciences and Mathematics. CPS has a significant influence on the achievement of cognitive competence and problem solving skills

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan berdasarkan hasil pengamatan di lapangan serta analisis tingkat kognitif soal pada materi ajar utama di SMA Negeri 14 Padang. Temuan dari observasi menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan abad 21 siswa kelas X masih berada pada tingkat rendah dengan rata-rata persentase sebesar 51,8%. Sementara itu, analisis tingkat kognitif soal mengindikasikan bahwa ketersediaan soal yang ada belum dapat meningkatkan keterampilan abad 21 siswa. Selain itu, dengan mempertimbangkan karakteristik siswa kelas X yang berada pada tahap perkembangan kognitif akhir dan masa transisi dari SMP ke SMA, mereka dituntut untuk dapat beradaptasi dengan lingkungan sosial dan tantangan baru yang dihadapi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan modul pembelajaran fisika dengan menggunakan model Treffinger dan untuk menilai validitas modul tersebut dalam rangka meningkatkan keterampilan abad 21. Jenis penelitian ini termasuk dalam kategori penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development). Model pengembangan yang diterapkan adalah model 4D, yang mencakup tahap define, tahap design, tahap develop, dan tahap disseminate. Hasil validitas modul pembelajaran fisika menunjukkan bahwa validasi dari ahli materi memperoleh persentase 77,5% dengan kategori valid, validasi dari ahli media mencapai 86,5% dengan kategori sangat valid, dan validasi dari ahli bahasa mendapatkan hasil 83,6% dengan kategori valid. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul pembelajaran fisika yang menggunakan model Treffinger untuk meningkatkan keterampilan abad 21 termasuk dalam kategori valid.
