Abstract

The objectives of this research are to produce an inquiry model as a way to increase the history material comprehension and history consciousness of students in teaching and learning history. To achieve the objectives, the research was done by using the approach of research and development. In general, this research consists or three levels: (1) doing a pre-survey which identified the current condition of teaching and learning history, (2) developing a model based on the findings of pre-survey, (3) validating the model. Developing the model was done by limited experiments and unlimited experiments. The result of this research showed that that the inquiry model is effective to increase the material comprehension and history consciousness of students, it is relevant to be used in teaching and learning history, and effective to improve the performance of history teachers. Therefore, it can be concluded that the inquiry model is effective to be used to improve the quality of the process and products of teaching and learning history in junior high schools, especially in Banjarmasin City. Key Words: a model of teaching, inquiry, history consciousnessPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa model inkuiri dalam rangka meningkatkan pemahaman materi dan kesadaran sejarah dalam pembelajaran sejarah. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan penelitian dan pengembangan. Secara garis besar tahapan penelitian ini meliputi (1) prasurvai untuk mengidentifikasi kondisi pembelajaran sejarah yang sedang berjalan, (2) pengembangan model berdasarkan hasil prasurvai, dan  (3) validasi model. Pengembangan model dilaksanakan dengan uji coba terbatas dan uji coba luas. Temuan penelitian ini menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa model inkuiri efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman materi dan kesadaran sejarah siswa, relevan digunakan dalam pembelajaran sejarah, efektif untuk meningkatkan kinerja guru, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model inkuiri efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan kualitas proses dan produk pembelajaran sejarah di sekolah menengah pertama khususnya di kota Banjarmasin. Abstract

History learning in the 21st century emphasizes the importance of students having the knowledge and skills that lead to the creation of a smart and competent generation. Presenting history learning that is able to make students the center of learning, actively involved and having skills is a big responsibility for teachers. History teachers must be able to provide variations of learning in the classroom in order to explore students' knowledge and skills to achieve learning objectives. The project-based history learning model is one of the learning strategies that can be chosen by the teacher. Through this learning model, students can act actively and creatively in producing learning products. So the purpose of this research is to analyze the teacher's contribution in applying students' collaboration and creativity skills in project-based history learning. This research was conducted at MAN 1 Banjarmasin. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques through observation and interviews with history teachers and students of XI IPS 1 MAN 1 Banjarmasin. The results of this study are the use of project-based history learning models can encourage students to have the skills to work together in teams and think creatively in order to produce a product. The teacher's contribution is very important in the implementation of project-based history learning, namely the teacher is involved as a facilitator, mentor, director and assessor. The success of teachers in applying this history learning model can also be seen from the achievement of several indicators of collaboration skills and creativity that students have when working on a given project.

Abstract

This study discusses extracurricular activities for history activists at SMA Negeri 11 Banjarmasin. The limited subject matter taught in schools about local history in history subject makes students less aware of and familiar with the history of their own area. This study aims to describe the extracurricular activities of history activists at SMA Negeri 11 Banjarmasin. In this study used qualitative methods, in obtaining informations begins with interviews, observations and documentation which are used as research sources. There are two sources of data used in this study, namely primary data sources for coaches, student members of history activists, and secondary sources in the form data of data from schools. History activists extracurricular activities were formed as a place to channel the tallents of history activitiests whi focus on the introduction and knowledge of the local history of the South Kalimantan region.

Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum represents an evolution from the 2013 Curriculum, introducing several changes aimed at providing schools, teachers, and students with opportunities to innovate, improvise, and negotiate for independent and creative learning. This research aims to investigate the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, highlighting challenges and efforts in teaching history. The research methodology utilized is descriptive qualitative, employing data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and document analysis. Data analysis involves data reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions, with validity ensured through measures of credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The findings reveal that Vocational High School 2 Banjarmasin has adopted the Merdeka Curriculum since 2021, emphasizing learning to generate products and services. Intracurricular learning is categorized into regular classroom sessions and extracurricular learning activities. The Project to Strengthen the Profile of Pancasila Students (P5) is conducted for a month outside regular teaching hours, with teachers independently preparing teaching materials. Teachers encounter various challenges in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum, including difficulties in analyzing learning outcomes, formulating learning objectives, constructing the flow of learning objectives, developing teaching modules, and selecting appropriate teaching media and methods. Additionally, limitations in technology, student textbooks, and classroom space contribute to these challenges. Efforts to address the obstacles in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum involve collective commitment, specialized training such as upskilling sessions and subject teacher collaboration activities, as well as enhancements to educational facilities and infrastructure. In conclusion, teachers must adapt to curriculum changes, overcome implementation obstacles, and possess the flexibility to ensure the effectiveness of curriculum implementation at Vocational High School 2 Banjarmasin.

Abstract

Imam Syafi'i is one of the most influential scholars in the history of Islam, whose thoughts have shaped Islamic practices and traditions in Indonesia. Starting from Medina, where Imam Syafi'i established his madhab to the archipelago, this article traces the existence of the Syafi'i madhab with its traces in various aspects of religious life, such as worship, family law, and Islamic education. The method used is a literature study by sourcing books on the history of the life and thought of Imam Syafi'i, journals, and other research references. Based on the results of the literature review, it is known that Imam Syafi'I has left an invaluable legacy for Muslims in Indonesia. His moderate, inclusive, and balanced thinking between text and logic has underpinned various policies on Islamic law, theology, and life. This has shaped strong Islamic practices and traditions, seen in the unity of Muslims, social stability, and the development of Islamic science. So that through understanding the presence of Shafi'i thought, it can encourage the emergence of critical thinking in interpreting the existence of Islam that is proportional, tolerant, and in accordance with the needs of the times.

Abstract

The research aims to analyze the social and religious values of the Menyanggar Banua Ceremony in Barikin Community in Hulu Sungai Tengah, South Kalimantan, which is also knwn as Babungan Tahun and Annual Wayang. The Menyanggar Banua ritual aims to purify the village by removing all negative elements that disturb the welfare of the community. This research uses historical methods, which include heuristics, criticism, interpretation and historiography. The initial stage of this research includes heuristics, collecting historical sources, primary and secondary data. The next stages include External Criticism and Internal Criticism. The results of this research show that the Menyanggar Ceremony in the Barikin Community in Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency, South Kalimantan Province has religious meaning, especially in the beliefs and sacredness associated with the masks used in the ceremony, such as the Sangkala Mask or Batarakala which is believed by Zuriah Datu Taruna. The Manyanggar Banua ceremony in the village of Barikin Hulu Sungai Tengah contains important social values ​​such as Gaturahmi, Mutual Cooperation, Cooperation and Gotong Royong. These values ​​are essential for the proper conduct of ceremonies and provide valuable lessons for social life.

Abstract

Dampak pandemi Covid-19 menyebabkan terjadinya krisis pembelajaran di Indonesia, yang ditandai dengan adanya ketertinggalan pembelajaran (learning loss). Kurikulum Merdeka diupayakan untuk memberikan pendidikan yang relevan melalui pembelajaran berdiferensiasi, di mana karakteristik peserta didik dapat diidentifikasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pembelajaran diferensiasi proses pada siswa kelas X mata pelajaran Sejarah menggunakan Kurikulum Merdeka. Responden penelitian ini sebanyak lima orang, terdiri dari satu orang guru mata pelajaran dan empat peserta didik kelas X. Terdapat tiga teknik yang dilakukan untuk memperoleh data penelitian, yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumen. Untuk menjamin kredibilitas data penelitian, dilakukan triangulasi sumber. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar mata pelajaran Sejarah kelas X terjadi pembelajaran diferensiasi proses pada materi Jalur Rempah Nusantara. Penelitian ini memberikan gambaran mengenai pembelajaran diferensiasi proses yang terjadi pada kelas X mata pelajaran Sejarah dengan Kurikulum Merdeka. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka dengan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi pada mata pelajaran Sejarah kelas X dapat membantu mengatasi ketertinggalan pembelajaran akibat pandemi. Dengan mengidentifikasi karakteristik peserta didik, guru dapat merancang pembelajaran yang lebih relevan dan efektif, meningkatkan keterlibatan dan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi.

Abstract

In the 21st century, rapid technological development has led to various new innovations, especially in educational media. This requires teachers to be able to use various types of educational media as a result of technological advancements. Quizizz can be a solution for teachers to utilize existing technology, making the learning process more engaging. The research method used in this study is a quantitative experimental method. The data collection technique used is a questionnaire. The data analysis method uses the Independent t-test. From the data analysis results using IBM SPSS version 25, it was found that there is a difference in the average post-test scores between the experimental class and the control class with a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.001. Therefore, it can be concluded that H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected. This indicates that the use of Quizizz as a learning medium has an impact on students' interest in learning History at SMAN 1 Alalak.

Abstract

Professional in the field of education, it is important for teachers to have various skills, including the ability to write scientific papers. Writing scientific papers not only helps teachers achieve career advancement such as promotions and recognition, but also provides opportunities to gain awards and recognition for their work. However, it is unfortunate that many teachers do not have experience writing scientific articles that are published in journals or being speakers at national or regional seminars. To overcome this, the community service program implemented is training and mentoring for social studies teachers at MGMP Barito Kuala Regency. The steps in this activity include coordination, conveying information, mentoring and evaluation. The results of this program show that the majority of social studies teachers in Barito Regency still do not understand and master the techniques for writing scientific papers in accordance with applicable regulations. Apart from that, participants also stated that one of the main difficulties they faced in compiling articles was difficulty in starting research due to a lack of ideas, which in turn was caused by a lack of reading and writing culture.

Abstract

Guru zaman milenial perlu memiliki tingkat kecakapan teknologi yang tinggi agar dapat menjalankan pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman. Saat ini Permasalahan mitra adalah rendahnya kemampuan guru-guru IPS dalam menyusun bahan ajar dengan menggunakan aplikasi flipbook makers baik yang dikeluarkan oleh KVIsoft ataupun yang flipbook makers untuk pdf nantinya. Untuk mengatasi persoalan rendahnya kemampuan guru Sekolah Mengengah Pertama khususnya mata pelajaran IPS yang tidak semuanya memahami konteks pemanfaatan teknologi itu sendiri menjadi tantangan tersendiri oleh tim untuk mensosialiasikan dalam menyusun bahan ajar dengan menggunakan aplikasi flipbook, maka tujuan pelaksanaan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan cara memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan kemampuan guru mata Pelajaran IPS dalam menyusun bahan ajar dengan menggunakan aplikasi berbasis android. Metode yang digunakan pada Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat adalah dengan pada tahap pertama kegiatan ini: Tahap Perencanaan, Tahap Pelaksanaan dan Tahap Evaluasi. Adapun hasil kegiatan dari Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat yaitu: a. Peningkatan pemahaman guru tentang pentingnya kearifan lokal dalam pembelajaran IPS; b. Peningkatan keterampilan guru dalam menggunakan aplikasi Android untuk pembelajaran terutama dalam pemanfaatan Teknologi dan Informasi dalam pembelajaran IPS di kelas; c. Terciptanya rencana tindak lanjut untuk implementasi media pembelajaran berbasis aplikasi Android di sekolah masing-masing.
