Abstract

Singkawang is a multicultural city. Singkawang community famous multiethnic society consisting of Chinese, Dayak, Malay, and Madura (Cidayuma). The existence of ethnic diversity can cause various problems, such as conflicts, violence, separatism, and the loss of a sense of humanity to always respect the rights of others. Multicultural education should facilitate the learning process that transforms prejudice and all forms of discrimination to the perspective to appreciate the diversity and differences. This journal has been reviewing the literature of the same journal with articles on multicultural education. The first part of this study will introduce Cidayuma society, along with the conflicts that have occurred, and the introduction of multicultural education. The second part will discuss the importance of education-based multicultural conflict prevention for the community Cidayuma. Finally, the last part of this article will describe efforts to prevent conflict through community-multicultural based education Cidayuma in Singkawang.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan mengkaji pentingnya critical thinking dan problem solving dalam pembelajaran IPS untuk menjawab tantangan abad 21. Metode yang dipergunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi literatur. 4 keterampilan abad 21 yaitu: communication, collaboration, critical thinking and problem solving, serta creativity and innovation. Tujuan pembelajaran IPS adalah mengembangkan potensi peserta didik agar terampil mengatasi masalah sosial. Pembelajaran IPS pada abad 21 harus integrative, holistic, saintifik, konstektual, tematik, efektif, kolaboratif, dan berpusat pada siswa. Pentingnya critical thinking dan Problem Solving dalam pembelajaran IPS adalah agar peserta didik dapat merangsang, menganalisis, dan melakukan sintesis tepat dimana masalah itu berada, atas inisiatif sendiri.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe  Make- A Match terhadap: (1) kompetensi sikap siswa, (2) kompetensi pengetahuan siswa pada pelajaran IPS di kelas V SD N 1  Singkawang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest control group design. Teknik simple random sampling dilakukan untuk menentukan kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Kelas eksperimen yakni V C diberi perlakuan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make-A Match. Kelas kontrol V A diberi perlakuan dengan menggunakan metode ceramah dan diskusi. Pengumpulan data menggunakan tes, penilaian diri dan penilaian teman sejawat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make- A Match efektif terhadap: (1) kompetensi sikap siswa sebesar 0,016 <0,05, (2) kompetensi pengetahuan siswa pada kelas eksperimen diperoleh rata-rata N gain sebesar 61 % atau (0,61). Maka, model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make- A Match efektif terhadap hasil belajar siswa dilihat dari ranah kompetensi sikap dan pengetahuan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there are differences and the effect of using the Creative Problem Solving model assisted by learning videos for grade V students of SDN 84 Singkawang. The type of research used is quantitative research with the method of true experimental design with posstest-only control group design. The samples taken in the study were V-B class students totaling 24 students. Data collection techniques using essay question test techniques by containing indicators of problem solving ability. Data analysis techniques using t-test and effect size. The results of this study showed that: 1) there is a difference in problem solving skills between classes using the CPS model assisted by learning videos and classes using direct learning models, 2) the use of the CPS model has an effect, but not significant on students' problem solving skills with the results of the effect size of 0.60 and falls into moderate criteria.

Abstract

This research aims to: 1) Describe the relationship between student learning activities and understanding of science concepts in the material of changes in the shape of objects. The research used is correlation or relationship research with a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all 5th grade students at SDN 14 Kuala Selakau with a total of 26 students. The sampling technique used was the saturated sampling technique. Saturated sampling technique is a sample determination technique when all members of the population are used as samples. Data were analyzed univariately with a significance level of 5% (0.05). For hypothesis testing, a prerequisite test was used, namely the normality test using the Chi square formula. The results of the research show that: 1) There is a relationship between learning activities and students' understanding of science concepts in the material on changes in the shape of point objects with the criteria for the strength of the relationship being in the very strong category with a correlation coefficient of 0.98. Understanding students' concepts provides a coefficient of 97.81% for student learning activities and the remaining 2.19% is influenced by other factors. Thus, it can be concluded that if the student's learning activities are good, the higher the student's understanding of science concepts, or conversely, the lower the student's learning activities, the lower the student's understanding of science concepts.

Abstract

The problems faced by partners are related to the implementation mechanism or product diversification process, related to the knowledge and skills of Kastaman Bidai craftsmen's creativity is still low. An effort is needed to overcome the problems faced by Kastaman Bidai UMKM partners.  STKIP Singkawang through the Product Diversification Program and E-Commerce optimization as an effort to escalate sales and business competitiveness to Kastaman Bidai UMKM. Implementation method by providing training and assistance in the form of preparing digital financial reports, diversifying bidai products, marketing and digital advertising of bidai products. Abstract

ABK (children with special needs) who are introverted, shy towards themselves, their self-confidence is still low and there are no ongoing activities to develop soft skills (skills). The purpose of this service activity can make ABK open themselves to a new environment, can increase the confidence of ABK, and form a sustainable hydroponic vegetable cultivation program to improve the skills of ABK through planting vegetables with hydroponic techniques. Method This program is realized through the SPP method (socialization, training and mentoring), namely through direct practice in the field. The method of implementing this program is described in the stages of implementing field activities which include preparation of the program implementing team, outreach to the program, preparation of equipment and tools, formation of activity groups, introduction to activities, creation of hydroponic media, practice of cultivating vegetables with hydroponic techniques, monitoring and evaluation of implementation. activity program. Results of activities the percentage of student responses from self-confidence questionnaires through hydroponic cultivation shows that most ABK (Children with Special Needs) in Singkawang State SLB have self-confidence with a percentage of 87.80% (Very good). From the observation table above, it was obtained that the average percentage of ABK soft skills in hydroponic farming was 93% in the very good category. While the average percentage of ABK's soft skills that are still unable to practice is 7% with a very low category.

Abstract

This research aims to: Analyze student learning outcomes in Mathematics learning in terms of the level of concentration in learning spatial building material. The type of research used is qualitative research, while the data collection tools used are questions, questionnaires, interviews and documentation. Data collection instruments were mathematics learning outcomes tests and questionnaires on learning concentration levels. The results of the research show that 1) Test student learning outcomes on spatial building material in class V SDN 93 Singkawang. Has an average of 70.37 in the high category (categorized as high because students are able to answer questions well given by the teacher and 2) There are two factors that influence the level of student concentration in class V, namely internal and external. The internal factors are factors that come from within the student as follows: a) physical health problems, b) the emergence of negative feelings, c) not liking certain lessons, d) not having skills in good learning methods, e) weak interest and motivation in lessons, f) be passive in learning. External factors are factors that come from outside, such as: a) a classroom environment that is not conducive, b) the same learning method every day.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian terkait dengan penyuluhan dampak positif penggunaan gadget bagi anak Sekolah Dasar di SDN Negeri 71 Singkawang. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini ialah memberikan edukasi kepada anak sekolah dasar Dasar terhadap dampak positif penggunaan gadget. Hal ini dikarenakan masih kurangnya pemahaman dalam memanfaatkan teknologi yang dapat membantu dalam perkembangan anak, baik perkembangan fisik maupun kecerdasan. Metode pengabdian ini dengan cara pemberian materi terkait dampak positif Gadget, kemudian dilanjutkan sesi tanya dan pemberian angket respon beserta wawancara dengan dua orang siswa. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian tersebut yakni dari 20 siswa diperoleh bahwa siswa masuk dalam kategori sangat setuju bahwa penggunaan gadged dapat memberikan manfaat untuk anak sekolah dasar. Hal ini didukung dengan hasil wawancara bahwa anak sekolah dasar telah memanfaatkan gadget selama di rumah dengan baik untuk keperluan mengerjakan tugas. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pemahaman kepada  anak sekolah dasar bahwa gadget juga bisa dimanfaatkan secara positif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas sebuah studi mengenai hubungan efikasi diri dan kepercayaan diri dengan hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian korelasi dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini kelas V SD. Teknik pengumpulan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel 30 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data berdasarkan teknik pengukuran berupa soal pilihan ganda sebanyak 20 soal dan teknik angket efikasi diri, kepercayaan diri dan tes pembelajaran IPS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 1) terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara efikasi diri akademik dengan hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS; 2) terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kepercayaan diri dengan hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS; 3) terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara efikasi diri akademik dan kepercayaan diri dengan hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS.
