Abstract

This research aims to test the validity of interactive media to strengthen the understanding of concepts in integer material for class VII MTs. The method used is qualitative and descriptive. The research instrument used a questionnaire from 3 experts, two practitioners, and 13 class VII students at MTs At-Taawun. The research results show that according to interactive media design experts, it is valid with a percentage of 91.7%, media experts with 81.7%, material experts with 90%, media practicality with 85.4%, and student trials with a rate of 87.7. Based on the research results, interactive media on integers was declared valid with an average of 88.9%, so interactive media was declared suitable for use. The results of this research can also be used as a reference for research regarding media validity testing. The media that has been created can be used as learning media during the learning process.

Abstract

The background for this community service activity is Pakis Islamic Middle School, which is one of the schools that has not yet implemented too many ICT-based learning models. This is due to the lack of projector facilities provided in each class as a medium for implementing ICT-based learning models. One learning model that is suitable to be applied based on the material being studied is to use the Geogebra application. Students can see the interpretation of graphs through the application. This service activity is carried out using the training method for trainees who are studying straight line equations. During the activity, monitoring was also carried out by the service team and evaluation through the results of test scores and questionnaires. The result of this community service activity is that the test results of the trainees found an average of 83.2. From this average, the training can be said to be successful because it is above the KKM standard in mathematics. While the value of the questionnaire was found that 92% of the training participants gave a positive response to using the Geogebra application on straight line equations. The advantages that trainees find are graphs that can be generated quickly, the GeoGebra application can provide a clearer visual experience to trainees in understanding mathematical concepts, can be used as an evaluation to ensure that the graphs that have been made are correct.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) menentukan item kualitas soal ujian dalam hal reliabilitas, tingkat kesukaran, dan daya pembeda, (2) menerapkan software anates untuk menghitung  reliabilitas, tingkat kesulitan dan daya pembeda. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah teknik deskriptif kuantitatif dan teknik dokumentasi. Datanya terdiri dari 31 lembar jawaban siswa pada kelas VIIA SMPN 6 Singosari Malang tahun ajaran 2022/2023 . Data-data tersebut dianalisis, reliabilitas, tingkat kesulitan, pembedaan daya menggunakan software anates. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Reliabilitas soal tergolong baik berdasarkan software anates yang menunjukkan nilai koefisien ????11>????????????????????????. Tingkat kesukaran butir soal kurang baik karena keseimbangan soal yang mudah sedang dan sukar belum proposional, keseimbangan yang proposional yaitu 3 5-2 atau 3-4- 3.Terdapat 3 butir soal (15%) baik sekali, 4 butir soal (20%) tergolong baik, 6 butir soal (30%) tergolong sedang, 6 butir soal (30%) tergolong kurang baik dan 1 butir soal (5%) tergolong jelek sekali berdasarkan analisis daya beda.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan reliabilitas tes, pembagian kelompok atas atau unggul dan kelompok bawah atau asor, adanya daya pembeda, perbedaan tingkat kesukaran soal, dan kualitas soal dengan pengecoh pada soal sumatif akhir semester ganjil dengan menggunakan software Anates dan jenis soal adalah pilihan ganda. Kriteria soal yang muncul diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data secara dokumentasi. Penelitian dilakukan di SMP Negeri 40 Surabaya. Pengambilan data secara acak dengan kelas terpilih kelas VIIF. Soal sumatif akhir semester ganjil kelas VII tahun pelajaran 2022-2023 pada bidang studi matematika dikerjakan sebanyak 31 siswa dengan jumlah soal sebanyak 40 butir. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis sehingga menghasilkan reliabilitas soal menunjukkan angka 0,51 yang berarti cukup. Adanya pembagian kelompok unggul dengan 8 siswa yang memiliki skor tinggi dan kelompok asor sejumlah 8 siswa dengan skor rendah. Daya Pembeda dalam mengerjakan soal sumatif akhir semester ganjil adalah cukup baik, sedangkan kualitas pengecoh soal secara keseluruhan kurang efektif. Sebagian besar pengecoh belum berfungsi dengan baik dan ada 1 soal yang tidak terbaca. Dengan demikian, secara keseluruhan soal sumatif akhir semester ganjil kelas VII bidang studi matematika adalah signifikan dan layak diberikan kepada siswa. Untuk selanjutnya soal yang kurang baik ataupun pengecohnya kurang berfungsi perlu diberikan perbaikan dan menambah tampilan agar lebih menarik.Kata Kunci: Analisis butir soal, Software Anates, Reliabilitas

Abstract

Dalam proses pembelajaran tidak terlepas dari kegiatan evaluasi. Ulangan  harian  merupakan salah satu  alat evaluasi yang perlu diuji kelayakan atau kualitas butir soalnya seperti analisis validitas, reliabilitas, tingkat kesukaran, daya pembeda, dan efektivitas pengecoh. Butir soal perlu diuji kelayakan untuk mengetahui fungsi instrumen yang telah dibuat sudah sesuai dengan fungsinya atau tidak. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metodologi deskriptif dan bentuk penelitian kuantitatif. Instrumen penelitian adalah soal pilihan ganda yang terdiri dari 15 soal. Siswa kelas XII MIPA 3 MA Almaarif Singosari Tahun Pelajaran 2022-2023 berjumlah 31 siswa dijadikan sebagai subjek penelitian. Hasil analisis butir soal meliputi validitas soal cukup baik karena terdapat 8 butir soal (53%) dengan kategori valid, sedangkan soal yang tidak valid sebanyak 7 butir soal (47%). Reliabilitas soal dalam kategori tinggi karena koefisien reliabilitas mencapai 0,72. Tingkat kesukaran soal dominan pada kategori mudah mencapai 53%. Daya pembeda memiliki kategori sangat baik, baik dan cukup sebanyak 11 butir soal (74%). Efektivitas pengecoh kategori kurang baik lebih dominan sebanyak 8 butir soal (53%).Kata Kunci: analisis butir soal, pilihan ganda, ulangan harian

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media interaktif POLBIN berbasis Canva untuk siswa SMP, khususnya dalam pembelajaran pola bilangan. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE (Analisis, Desain, Pengembangan, Implementasi, dan Evaluasi). Penelitian dilakukan di MTs Manbaul Ulum Gresik dengan populasi siswa kelas VIII dan sampel dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara dengan siswa dan guru, serta validasi ahli. Media divalidasi oleh ahli materi dan ahli media, yang memberikan skor 93%, dikategorikan sangat layak. Pada tahap implementasi, media diuji coba kepada siswa kelas VIII, yang memberikan skor 89%, juga dinilai sangat layak. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif untuk mengolah hasil validasi dan respons siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media POLBIN berhasil meningkatkan minat dan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi pola bilangan. Evaluasi dilakukan setelah implementasi untuk merevisi media jika diperlukan. Peneliti menyarankan pengembangan lebih lanjut agar media ini mencakup mata pelajaran lain dan dapat diakses melalui berbagai perangkat untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran yang lebih luas.   ABSTRACT This research aims to develop interactive POLBIN media based on Canva for junior high school students, specifically in learning number patterns. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). This research was conducted at MTs Manbaul Ulum Gresik with a population of 8th-grade students, and the sample was selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, interviews with students and teachers, and expert validation. POLBIN media was validated by material experts and media experts, who gave it a score of 93% and categorized it as highly feasible. During the implementation stage, this media was tested on 8th-grade students, who scored 89% and were rated as highly possible. Data analysis techniques used quantitative descriptive analysis to process the validation results and student responses. The results showed that the POLBIN media increased students' interest and understanding of number pattern material. The evaluation was conducted after implementation to revise the media if necessary. The researchers suggest further development to expand the media to cover other subjects and make it accessible through various devices to support a broader learning process.

Abstract

This study seeks to investigate the mathematical connectivity of students with field-dependent (FD) and field-independent (FI) cognitive styles in the context of solving Pythagorean puzzles. The research participants were two students from MTs Al Hidayah Karang Ploso, who had studied the Pythagorean theorem. Research data were acquired via interviews, cognitive style assessments, and the examination of mathematical connectivity skills. The veracity of the data was assessed through triangulation following the presentation and analysis of the summarized data. The instruments employed comprise the Group Embedded Figure Test for evaluating cognitive style and a mathematical connection ability assessment featuring three Pythagorean problems. The results indicated that the S-FI cognitive style effectively linked mathematical principles to real-world difficulties and situations. Conversely, S-FD cognitive type could only establish a restricted connection between mathematical concepts. The superior mathematical connection ability of the S-FI cognitive style compared to the S-FD cognitive style underscores the need of considering cognitive type in mathematics education.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of mathematical resilience and learning climate on the mathematical reasoning of Vocational High School (SMK) students, as well as examine the role of learning style as a moderating variable. Mathematical resilience, which reflects students' ability to persist in facing difficulties in learning mathematics, as well as a positive learning climate, is thought to have an important contribution to mathematical reasoning abilities. The research used a quantitative approach. This research was conducted at two vocational schools in Malang with 200 respondents. Data was collected through mathematical resilience questionnaires, learning climate, learning styles, and mathematical reasoning tests, then analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4 software. Validity and reliability tests showed that all instruments used met the criteria determined, with an AVE value above 0.5 and a Composite Reliability value above 0.7, indicating a valid and reliable instrument. All indicators used in this research also met the significance test with a p-value below 0.05. The research results show that mathematical resilience has a significant influence on students' mathematical reasoning (path coefficient 0.237, t-statistic 3.803, p-value 0.000). The learning climate was also proven to have a positive effect on mathematical reasoning (path coefficient 0.287, t-statistic 4.125, p-value 0.000). However, learning style does not significantly moderate the influence of mathematical resilience on mathematical reasoning. Still, it plays a moderate role in the relationship between learning climate and mathematical reasoning (t-statistic 2.102, p-value 0.036). These findings provide insight into the importance of learning strategies that support resilience and learning climate to improve students' mathematical reasoning abilities at the vocational secondary education level.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of students' critical thinking skills in solving mathematical problems discussed from mathematical beliefs. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. This research was carried out at MTs Roudlotul Muta'abbidin Payaman, Lamongan. The selection of subjects in this study was carried out by purposive sampling method, namely the selection with certain considerations. The research subjects were selected based on the high, medium, and low levels of mathematical belief as seen from the results of the questionnaire. The instruments used in this study were a mathematical confidence questionnaire, critical thinking skills test questions, and interview guidelines. The results of this study indicate that: 1) Students with mathematical confidence have very good critical thinking skills, namely meeting the indicators of interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and inference, 2) students with moderate mathematical belief categories have good enough critical thinking skills, namely meeting indicators of interpretation, analysis, and evaluation, and 3) students with low mathematical confidence categories have the ability to think critically, namely meeting the evaluation and inference indicators.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the impact of the discrete mathematics lecture process on deductive reasoning abilities, especially in carrying out proofs in graph theory. This research uses qualitative research based on the results of observations of the learning process in the Discrete Mathematics course. The subjects of this research were three students from the Mathematics Education Study Program who were pre-service teachers and in-service mathematics teachers at a university in Malang. The data collection technique is a description and observation test question sheet. The research results show that the process of learning graph theory in discrete courses is through explanations related to the definition of graph coloring, examples of the application of theorems, practice questions through guided proof with lecturers, and the application of graph coloring theory in everyday life. Overall, the graph theory learning process emphasizes deductive reasoning abilities. Based on the results of the analysis of the four-color theorem test, in general, it succeeded in having a good impact on students in the mathematics education study program.
