Alter Ackerweg entlang der Sumpfseewiesen und Felder von Güstrow. Der Raps steht kurz vor der Blüte. Die dunklen Wolken kommen bedrohlich näher, färben die Landschaft aber zusammen mit der tief stehenden Sonne in ein schönes warmes Licht.

A differenza della maggior parte dei templi di Ankor, Tha Prohm è stato lasciato, fino a pochi anni fa, nelle stesse condizioni in cui fu scoperto. La strana atmosfera creata dalla combinazione degli alberi che spuntano dalle rovine e la giungla circostante ne hanno fatto uno tra i più popolari e visitati templi di Angkor.

Unlike most Angkorian temples, Ta Prohm has been left in much the same condition in which it was found: the photogenic and atmospheric combination of trees growing out of the ruins and the jungle surroundings have made it one of Angkor's most popular temples with visitors.

Θέλω να φύγω πια από δω, θέλω να φύγω πέρα,

σε κάποιο τόπο αγνώριστο και νέο,

θέλω να γίνω μια χρυσή σκόνη μες στον αιθέρα,

απλό στοιχείο, ελεύθερο, γενναίο.

Σαν όνειρο να φαίνονται απαλό και να μιλούνε

έως την ψυχή τα πράγματα του κόσμου,

ωραία να 'ναι τα πρόσωπα και να χαμογελούνε,

ωραίος ακόμη ο ίδιος ο εαυτός μου.

Σκοτάδι τόσο εκεί μπορεί να μην υπάρχει, θεέ μου,

στη νύχτα, στην απόγνωση των τόπων,

στο φοβερό στερέωμα, στην ωρυγή του ανέμου,

στα βλέμματα, στα λόγια των ανθρώπων.

Να μην υπάρχει τίποτε, τίποτε πια, μα λίγη

χαρά και ικανοποίησις να μένει,

κι όλοι να λένε τάχα πως έχουν για πάντα φύγει,

όλοι πως είναι τάχα πεθαμένοι.
