SSBU x Tekken

The "Super Smash Bros." series is well known for having a metric ton of content that references the origins of its playable fighters, whether that be subtle animations in a fighter's moveset or specific scenes during their reveal trailers.

In the story for the "Tekken" games, Kazuya Mishima was thrown off of a cliff as a child by his father, Heihachi. After Kazuya grew up, as revenge, he threw Heihachi off of a cliff after he defeated him in the titular Tekken fighting tournament, as depicted in Kazuya's ending in the first "Tekken" game. This became a sort of...tradition between the two when they fought each other again in future games.

Kazuya's reveal trailer for "Super Smash Bros. Ultimate" pays homage to this, having Kazuya toss a defeated Ganondorf (and later on, other members of the playable cast) off of a cliff and into a volcano.
