  • While there are a lot of characters in Battle for Dream Island who do indeed have haters, none of them are quite as utterly despised as Loser, who is an absurdly Flat Character whose only trait is that everyone likes him (even BFDIA Donut, a similarly loathed character in that season, has the bare minimum personality of being a Jerkass made to be voted off first), which is absolutely not helped by his Creator's Pet status of being one of the two contestants to rejoin post-split without any input from the voters (alongside Spongy, who was very much falling to a hated side by then due to his absurdly negative portrayal in BFB 14 and 15) or his utterly grating voice. It’s to the point that, when his team was up for elimination, Loser broke the show’s record at the time for the most votes on a single contestant, though said elimination did make some people start to slightly forgive him… at least until it was discovered how he chose to practically abandon Winner, who had been his friend for God knows how long, in the pursuit of fame, which quickly turned people against Loser again.
  • YouTube user Benthelooney, known for his ranting, kept his videos fresh by adding in new characters. A video "Ben Rants: Marvin Marvin", played this trope by adding in a character who was separated into two halves from his comical "salute" on Fred: The Show, which in this video is now known as Neb.
  • Dusk's Dawn: Some peoplereally don't likeBreeze Rider. The fact his accent sounds disturbingly similar to Tommy Wiseau's probably hasn't helped.
  • While many characters in the GoAnimate-made "Grounded" videos tend to be Base Breaking Characters at best, but there are some that are universally hated.
    • Ericina Oates is universally hated by the community since her debut by being a Replacement Scrappy for Erika. who wasn't louielouie95 or Eric's real girlfriend to begin with since Eric Walter Ericson from mrlegofan404 videos wasn't Erika or Ericina but Brielle, In the addition louielouie95's so called sequel video to Claude's punishment day, where Ericina grounds Zack and Kelly for giving Claude a punishment day because Claude was louielouie95's favorite male character, and was a part of louielouie95's team family which wasn't canon either from the latter and it's just as petty, Which pissed off a Vyonder named GoMultiverseLegacy394 so much that it crippled his love for GoAnimate grounded videos and later went on a 2 year hiatus. After coming back from that hiatus and finishing the Zack series, he made a remake to Claude's punishment day. Alongside that many Vyonders including GoMultiverse himself made Ericina into a Hate Sink in their videos after the backlash she received.
    • Many fans hate Sage Martel for being a Spotlight-Stealing Squad and being cruel to Tripp and his friends, even the most minor offences, which led to people creating numerous Deconstruction videos turning Sage and his friends into antagonists
  • Happy Tree Friends:
  • Homestar Runner:
    • Parodied on with Nebulon the alien.
Strong Bad: Get out of here, Nebulon. Nobody likes your style. The Cheat, do you like Nebulon's style?
Rumble Red: We don't have X on myyyyyy planet (rumble)...
    • Out of universe, Crack Stuntman is disliked by a lot of fans because of his out-of-place character concept (the voice actor of an in-universe cartoon character) and heavy focus during the site's later years.
  • The bird in the Lucas the Spider episode "Encore" became highly reviled by the fanbase for stealing Lucas's harp.
  • My Pride: Many viewers grew to hate Fire after he Took a Level in Jerkass, acts just as ableist as the rest of his family, killed his best friend, and seemingly kills his cousin Feather.
  • Red vs. Blue:
    • For all the Base Breaking Characters the series had, the one consistently hated character is Zero, the titular Big Bad of season 18, due to his inconsistent characterization that resulted in him alternating between being a Noble Demon, a Card-Carrying Villain, or a Well-Intentioned Extremist at random while always remaining generic and bland, his ultimate motivation being both utterly nonsensical and pathetic, and his Narmy cheesy one-liners - one comparison was that he was like early villain O'Malley, but without the advantage\excuse of being Played for Laughs (to the point one episode of a non-canon spin-off has positive remarks for making Zero a Laughably Evil Large Ham).
    • Andy the Bomb is also quite disliked, and the least popular member of the Blood Gulch Crew. This comes from the fact that his main gimmick was being an obnoxious Jerkass, with none of the other Reds and Blues' depth or quirks. His often transphobic quips falling into Values Dissonance didn't help, either. It's telling that he's the only one of the main characters to have never returned after Season 5, and that he's been mostly forgotten by the fanbase.
  • Paper Puppets has Basketball and Slipper, who both of which are examples at this trope for many things: Slipper manipulated Ukulele into joining Team ], gave her a makeover, and sabotaged Knight Helmet in episode 13, while Basketball was hated for being lazy and being a pointless filler character.
    • Gong is also a victim to this trope.
  • The Security Breach Show:
  • The Bulbasaur from Starters isn't exactly hated per se, but he doesn't have that much fans either since he is often overshadowed by other characters like the Typomaniac/Rare Candy trio (Chespin, Fennekin, and Mudkip). What little popularity he does have is usually only limited to talking about the infamous car scene from Lavender Town: The Untold Story thanks to a TikTok repost in late 2021. The reason for all of this is unknown, though it is likely because of his whiny behavior or he is just not as interesting as the other Pokémon in the show.
  • Supermarioglitchy4's Super Mario 64 Bloopers:
    • While the show is no stranger to Base-Breaking Characters, at least some people will find them enjoyable. But you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone who genuinely likes Depresso. Nothing is done to change things up wit his normal format, aside from being an Unwitting Instigator of Doom in some of the episodes, and even then his appearances feel tacked on and/or forced in some cases.
    • And before Depresso, there was Starman3, who is almost universally reviled, be it either for the actions of his real self that got the character erased from canon, for being nothing but a bland Mary Sue who was forced to be a major character by his aforementioned real counterpart, or both. While all the other recolours have some distinct personality traits that give them all fans, Starman3’s shtick of being the Only Sane Man was already filled by SMG4 and X before him, meaning that he was practically pointless (and his personality is so flat that the wiki explains it all in just 2 sentences). Alongside this, due to his real life counterpart forcing it upon Luke, he is known and liked by everyone in the show, and received a few episodes basically dedicated to making him seem better. And that’s without getting into him being forced into tons of episodes in 2012, relegating other far more beloved recolours to mere cameos. With all this combined, almost nobody misses him now that he’s been entirely rendered non-canon, even to the point of him being absent in the 10 Year Anniversary when so many other recolours made their return.
  • Unofficial Milky Way and the Galaxy Girls: Fans HATE Cancer. In "Venus' Dream", he inappropriate gestured The Sun's chin, and considering he had no reason nor motivation to sabotage Venus' play and the fact one scene had him peak through her window to see her progress, fans hated him as a result, calling him a Covert Pervert. The two inappropriate scenes ended up being censored.
