Basic Trope: Among a team of badass normals, there would be one person who has superpowers
- Straight: While Bob, Clarie, and Daniel rely on conventional weaponry to get around, Alice can manipulate the sun itself.
- Exaggerated: Alice is a Physical God, had she been crueller she could destroy the world in mere seconds.
- Downplayed: Alice is the team's only witch, however Bob, Claire, and Daniel could also learn magic if they want to.
- Justified
- Alice was already a member before she got/awoke her powers and she's not going to just abandon her teammates nor they her.
- The rest of the team doesn't not have any means of gaining powers similar to Alice, and Alice's skills are best applied at this job for the foreseeable future
- Inverted: Among all her super-powered comrades Maria has no powers at her disposal.
- Subverted: Alice uses her solar tools to make it look like she has sun-related powers.
- Double Subverted: But she gets into a Freak Lab Accident, which grants her the real deal.
- Parodied: Alice is officially on the team's roster so they can qualify as a Super Team and rake in all the benefits that come with it, but isn't expected to do anything other than do publicity to keep those perks and funding coming in.
- Zig Zagged: More super powered individuals join the team, but then Alice leaves it. The new members then leave and Alice returns.

- The entire team has powers.
- Or they are all badass normals.

- Implied: Alice seems to do things that are humanly impossible while no one else on the team does, but she's never outright stated to have supernatural powers.
- Invoked: Bob, Clarie and Daniel raised Alice as one of their own.
- Exploited: Alice's sun powers are used to draw attention away from the rest of the team, so that they can work unmolested.
- Defied: The sponsor wants more than token super representation and has the means to get it on the team.
- Discussed: "Alice has to actively try to not outshine the rest of us!"
- Conversed: "Remember that police procedural show, where one of the detectives was a literal solar witch while everyone was completely mundane, underpaid law enforcer with outdated equipment?"
- Deconstructed: Alice has several needs the rest of her team cannot fully provide for. The rest of the team have several limitations Alice cannot fully appreciate.
- Reconstructed: The team is able to find to find other individuals who can better provide for Alice, who proves to be worth the investment. With her own needs better provided for, Alice can spend more time coming to understand her teammates.
