Basic Trope: Four or more elements from the natural world have mythological creatures in the setting to represent them.
- Straight: The Fyrea Nation can call on giant fenixes for help.
- Exaggerated:
- Every single element of the periodic table in the world of Troperia has its own elemental.
- Every animal in Troperia is an elemental.
- Downplayed: Elementals do exist, but as non-physical gods or live in another dimension.
- Justified:
- The elementals are naturally evolved creatures that use the elements to their advantage.
- The elementals were created by wizards as a way to harness elemental magic into a more useful form.
- They were created by the gods to guard the elements.
- Inverted: The Fyrea Nation and the fenixes are sworn enemies. As a result, the fenixes are much more likely to help the other nations.
- Subverted: The “Fyrean Fenixes” are actually just a highly renowned regiment of the kingdom that rides on normal giant red birds…
- Double Subverted: But then their leader swoops in riding an actual elemental.
- Parodied: The elementals, either as sapients or pets, struggle to live alongside humans due to their elemental abilities getting in the way, like burning tables or being too heavy to ride on a bike.
- Zig Zagged: Many magical creatures are shown to live in Troperia, leaving up whether they’re the elementals or something else entirely.
- Averted: No elementals exist on the world of Troperia.
