Abstract
PURPOSE: To remove phosphorus in the ionized state in waste water by treating a phosphorus-containing living waste water, etc., by using an acrylic resin-based Cl- type weakly basic anion exchange resin with tertiary amines as functional group.
CONSTITUTION: A secondary waste water, such as factory effluent and living waste water, containing phosphorus, is brought into contact with an acrylic resin-based Cl-type weakly basic anion exchange resin with tertiary amines as functional group under the condition of pH2W8 in order to remove phosphorus present in the ionized state in the waste water. Then, the anion exchange resin saturated with phosphorus ions, etc., is regenerated by a 2W10wt% NaOH solution and a 2W10wt% hydrochloric acid or a 2W10wt% hydrochloric acid, and lime is added to the regeneration waste water containing high concentrations of phosphorus to insolubilize the phosphorus component which is, in turn, recovered as raw material for phosphatic fertilizer and the like.
