401,045. Air filters for compressor units. WILSON, F, W. and TILGHMAN'S PATENT SAND BLAST CO., Ltd., Atlantic Street, Broadheath, near Manchester. June 24, 1932, No. 17863. [Class 8 (ii).] An air filter for an engine-driven compressor unit comprises layers b of canvas or like fabric stretched upon frames consisting of end-pieces c and side-pieces d and housed in a D-shaped casing a. The air enters through the spaces e and after passing through the filtering material passes through the spaces f and leaves the casing by pipes g, h connected to the compressor and carburetter inlets. For cleaning, the filter unit may be removed through one end of the casing. The casing is arranged above and clear of compressor and engine.
