<![CDATA[This research aims to analyze the sarcasm language style used in the 2024 presidential candidate debate, with a focus on the speeches and interactions between the candidates. This research uses a case study method with a close observation technique which involves the process of observing and recording information directly from the data source, namely the 2024 presidential candidate debate video obtained from the YouTube site @KPURepublikIndonesia to identify and classify the style of sarcasm used in the presidential candidate debate. The results of the analysis show that there is one style of propositional sarcasm, one style of illocutionary sarcasm, one style of prefix sarcasm, and one style of lexical sarcasm. With the presence of sarcasm in the 2024 presidential debate, the audience's perception and reaction to this strategy tends to be skeptical. The majority of respondents considered the use of sarcasm to be less important and had the potential to create a less constructive discussion atmosphere. Although a small number consider it important, most do not place much emphasis on the strategy.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis gaya bahasa sarkasme yang digunakan dalam debat calon presiden (capres) tahun 2024, dengan fokus pada pidato dan interaksi antara kandidat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus dengan teknik simak catat yang melibatkan proses mengamati dan mencatat informasi secara langsung dari sumber data, yaitu video debat capres 2024 yang didapat dari situs youtube @KPURepublikIndonesia untuk mengidentifikasi dan mengklasifikasikan gaya bahasa sarkasme yang digunakan dalam debat capres. Hasil analisis menunjukkan terdapat satu gaya bahasa sarkasme proposisi, satu gaya bahasa sarkasme ilokusi, satu gaya bahasa sarkasme prefiks, dan satu gaya bahasa sarkasme leksikal. Dengan adanya gaya bahasa sarkasme di dalam debat capres 2024 persepsi dan reaksi penonton terhadap strategi ini cenderung skeptis. Mayoritas responden menilai penggunaan sarkasme kurang penting dan berpotensi menciptakan suasana diskusi yang kurang konstruktif. Meskipun sebagian kecil melihatnya sebagai penting, mayoritas tidak memberikan penekanan besar pada strategi tersebut.]]>
