Abstract

Menyusui merupakan salah satu upaya penting untuk menjaga kesehatan anak sejak awal kehidupan. Pemberian air susu ibu (ASI) dapat memenuhi kebutuhan nutrisi dan imun bagi bayi. Kandungan gizi dalam ASI bersifat unik dan berbeda pada setiap bagiannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kadar nutrisi pada foremilk, ASI tengah, dan hindmilk. Sebanyak 9 sampel ASI dari ibu yang menyusui bayi berusia 4-6 bulan diperiksa melalui uji proksimat cairan di Laboratorium Kimia Pusat Antar Universitas (PAU) Universitas Gajah Mada pada bulan Januari-Juni 2020. Sampel ASI diperoleh dari ASI perah dengan foremilk diambil sebanyak 10 ml, ASI tengah sebanyak 30 ml, dan hindmilk sebanyak 10 ml. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan kadar nutrisi (%) dalam foremilk, ASI tengah, dan hindmilk secara berturut-turut: karbohidrat; 7,35 ± 0,76, 7,28 ± 0,08, dan 7,38 ± 0,27, protein; 1,38 ± 0,38, 1,34 ± 0,11, dan 1,36 ± 0,17, lemak; 0,59 ± 0,53, 0,91 ± 0,37, dan 1,66 ± 0,41. Hasil analisis dengan metode one way ANOVA atau Kruskal-Wallis menunjukkan bahwa  terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada kadar lemak (p=0,016), namun tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan pada kadar air (p=0,113), abu (p=0,700), protein (p=0,974) dan karbohidrat (p=0,670) yang terkandung dalam foremilk, ASI tengah dan hindmilk. Ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan bermakna pada kadar lemak ASI awal, tengah, dan akhir, meskipun tidak bersamaan dengan kadar makronutrien lain.

Abstract

Metabolic syndrome is one of the main risk factors for various diseases such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes. The effect of physical activity has been widely studied regarding its benefits in reducing the development of metabolic syndrome. However, there are still underlying shortcomings in the results of previous research. Objective: to assess the influence of physical activity and metabolic syndrome components on the risk of metabolic syndrome in workers. Cross-sectional research was conducted on employees of PT. PLN. Variables assessed include waist circumference, arm circumference, body mass index (BMI), blood pressure, blood glucose and total cholesterol. Physical activity assessment was carried out using the Global Physical Activity Questionnaire (GPAQ). A total of 40 employees were included in this study. A total of 18 respondents (45%) were at risk of metabolic syndrome. The majority of metabolic syndrome components in employees are overweight (50%), excessive arm and waist circumference (85% and 65%, respectively). The majority of respondents had moderate physical activity (57.5%) and high activity (27.5%). Excessive arm and waist circumference had a significant relationship with the risk of metabolic syndrome in respondents (p < 0.05), however, physical activity did not affect the risk of metabolic syndrome. It is hoped that further research in broader populations will be needed to assess risk factors for metabolic syndrome in workers.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Fungsi kognitif dan kadar asam urat darah lansia tidak termasuk dalam pemeriksaan wajib dalam program Prolanis. Fungsi kognitif perlu dinilai untuk memastikan bahwa peserta Prolanis tidak mengalami kemunduran fungsi kognitif. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk melakukan skrining tingkat fungsi kognitif dan kadar asam urat darah peserta Prolanis di Klinik Dokter Keluarga Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Muhammadiyah Palembang. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam satu hari selama 2 jam 30 menit. Pemeriksaan fungsi kognitif dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE) berbahasa Indonesia. Pemeriksaan kadar asam urat darah dilakukan menggunakan darah dari ujung jari dengan alat pemeriksa asam urat dan strip khusus. Hasil skrining menunjukkan bahwa 80,4% peserta Prolanis memiliki fungsi kognitif yang normal dan 66,7% memiliki kadar asam urat darah yang normal.   ABSTRACT Cognitive function and blood uric acid levels in the elderly are not included in the mandatory screening in the Prolanis program. Cognitive function needs to be assessed to ensure that Prolanis participants do not experience cognitive decline. The purpose of this activity was to screen the cognitive function and blood uric acid levels of Prolanis participants at the Family Physician Clinic, Faculty of Medicine, Muhammadiyah University of Palembang. The activity was carried out in one day for 2 hours and 30 minutes. Cognitive function testing was conducted using the Indonesian language Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE) questionnaire. Blood uric acid testing was performed using fingertip blood with a uric acid tester and special strips. The screening results showed that 80.4% of Prolanis participants had normal cognitive function and 66.7% had normal blood uric acid levels.
