Abstract

Differentiated thyroid cancer is the most common type of thyroid cancer; the types in this category are papillary, follicular, and hurthel cell carcinoma. Up to 20% of DTCs will experience recurrence, although this figure reduces to 5% in low-risk patients. There is still little research on thyroid cancer prediction using a machine learning approach, especially the prediction recurrence of DTCs. This research aims to compare the performance of the Extreme Learning Machine and the Hidden Markov Model using SMOTE in predicting the recurrence of DTCs. The dataset used in this research is differentiated thyroid cancer recurrence from Kaggle. This research methodology comprises preprocessing, data sharing, SMOTE, ELM and HMM modeling algorithms, and evaluation. ELM with SMOTE gets the best results at a ratio of 90:10 with 35 hidden neurons that get an accuracy value of 1.00, precision 1.00, recall 1.00, and AUC 1.00. ELM modeling gets the best results at a ratio of 90:10 with 45 hidden neurons that get an accuracy value of 1.00, precision 1.00, recall 1.00, and AUC 1.00. HMM modeling gets the best value at a ratio of 70:30 with two hidden states and two iterations, which get an accuracy value of 0.8696, precision 0.8696, recall 0.7944, and AUC 0.9575. Last, HMM modeling with SMOTE gets the best results at a ratio of 60:40 with two hidden states and two iterations, with an accuracy value of 0.8696, precision of 0.8832, recall of 0.7848, and AUC of 0.9174. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that ELM with SMOTE gets the best performance, followed by ELM without SMOTE, HMM without SMOTE, and finally, HMM with SMOTE. The implication is that ELM with SMOTE can produce high accuracy in predicting the recurrence of DTCs.

Abstract

Pelatihan ceramah agama dilakukan untuk meningkatkan rasa percaya diri siswa dengan melatih kemampuan berbicara di depan umum agar dapat membekali siswa dalam mengembangkan diri akan potensi yang dimilikinya. Pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode service learning (SL) dan dilaksanakan rutin dalam waktu 5x pertemuan pada bulan september. Dari kegiatan pelatihan yang dilakukan, terlihat adanya perkembangan yang signifikan dan kepercayaan diri yang muncul. Siswa dapat melakukan praktek ceramah agama dari lingkup kelompok audiens kecil sampai dalam acara kajian juma’at yang dihadiri banyak audiens. Dari pelatihan ini terdapat siswa yang berpartisipasi mewakili sekolah untuk didaftarkan sebagai peserta dalam perlombaan ceramah agama yang dilaksanakan di luar sekolah. Selain itu, beberapa siswa lain juga menunjukkan peningkatan kepercayaan diri saat menyampaikan ceramah agama, meskipun masih ada yang melihat naskah sebagai panduan dalam penyampaian. Melalui pelatihan ini, siswa mulai memahami cara menyampaikan ceramah agama, tips untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan diri dan keberanian tampil di depan umum, aturan berbicara yang efektif agar mudah dipahami oleh audiens, serta cara untuk mengatasi rasa gugup.

Abstract

Success in the learning process is greatly influenced by a conducive learning atmosphere and student motivation. However, academic burnout is often an obstacle that hinders students in learning. Therefore, the application of innovation management class is very important to overcome academic burnout and support the success of the learning process. This study aims to explore the application of innovation management class as a solution in overcoming academic burnout in PAI lessons at SMAN 2 Palangka Raya. The method used is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews and documentation, and data validation techniques using source triangulation. The results of this study indicate that the application of innovation management class conducted by teachers in overcoming academic burnout of (83.09%) is included in the category of very effective. This is evident through a varied approach, varied methods, digital media integration, social interaction, providing rewards and motivation and carrying out technology-based evaluations that teachers apply through the stages of planning, implementation, and evaluation can increase student motivation and generate student interest in participating in learning activities. With an engaging approach to classroom management, students become more active participants and feel happy in the learning process. This research suggests that innovations in classroom management are very effective in creating a conducive learning atmosphere and successfully overcoming the challenges faced by students.

Abstract

Permasalahan penelitian ini adalah rendahnya aktivitas yang berdampak pada hasil belajar siswa. Hal tersebut disebabkan disebabkan kegiatan pembelajaran hanya berpusat pada guru, pembelajaran belum menggunakan strategi dan model pembelajaran yang menarik. Upaya untuk mengatasi permasalahan adalah menerapkan model BERITA (BERbasis Informasi langsung, Tes percobaan, dan permainan Analisis), yang terdiri dari model Problem Based Learning (PBL), Teams Games Turnament, dan Metode Eksperimen. Tujuan penelitian adalah mendeskripsikan aktivitas guru, menganalisis aktivitas siswa, dan hasil belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan subjek penelitian 20 siswa kelas IV. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas guru pada pertemuan I memperoleh  skor 29 kriteria “Baik”, pertemuan II memperoleh skor 32 kriteria “Baik”, pertemuan III memperoleh skor 34 kriteria “Sangat Baik” dan pertemuan IV memperoleh skor 38 kriteria “Sangat Baik”. Aktivitas siswa pertemuan I mencapai kriteria “Cukup Aktif”, pertemuan II mencapai kriteria “Aktif”, pertemuan III mencapai kriteria “Sangat Aktif” dan pertemuan IV mencapai kriteria “Sangat Aktif”. Hasil belajar siswa ranah kognitif pada pertemuan I mencapai 65%, pertemuan II mencapai 65%, pertemuan III mencapai 90%, dan pertemuan IV mencapai 100%. Ranah afektif pertemuan I mencapai 40%, pertemuan II mencapai 65%, pertemuan III mencapai 90% dan pertemuan IV mencapai 100%. Ranah psikomotorik pertemuan I mencapai 35%, pertemuan II mencapai 61%, pertemuan III mencapai 90% dan pertemuan IV mencapai 100%. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian ini dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa pemanfaatkan model pembelajaran BERITA dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa dan hasil belajar.
