Abstract

According to WHO, early marriage is a marriage between a couple or one of the partners is still categorized as a child or teenager under the age of 19 years. Jambi Province ranks ninth in the rate of marriage at a young age in Indonesia, amounting to 14.8% in 2019, where the percentage for Kerinci Regency is 21%. Among the factors that influence early marriage are low knowledge and economic status. This research aims to determine the influence of knowledge and economic status on early marriage in Keliling Danau district, Kerinci regency. The method used in this research was an analytical survey with a cross-sectional approach where 92 women from couples of childbearing age were the research sample. The sampling technique was simple random sampling and the data was analyzed using chi-square test analysis. Early marriage among respondents was 48.9%, the majority of respondents had good knowledge (65.2%) and high economic status (81.5%). The results of statistical tests show that there is an influence between the knowledge variable (p-value=0.003) and economic status (p-value=0.025) on early marriage. Therefore, it is hoped that regional governments can coordinate across the health sector to increase outreach regarding the prevention of early marriage and the negative impacts it causes.

The media was validated by expert media validators, language experts, public health practitioners, agency validators, and students in grades X and XI of the Ar-Rahman Islamic Boarding School. Data collection used literature studies and data were analyzed manually. Results: The development of the PHBS pocket book in Islamic Boarding Schools began with identifying potential problems and, collecting data, and information. Product design creation using the Ibis Paint X application. The product obtained validation results, namely media experts of 96% (very feasible), language experts of 92% (very feasible), public health practitioners of 99% (very feasible), validation of institutions consisting of teachers of 100% (very feasible). After receiving suggestions and comments from the validator, the product was then revised. Then the results of the product trial on the participant group were 88% (very feasible) Conclusion: The PHBS pocket book in Islamic Boarding Schools can be used as a health education media with a very feasible feasibility test. Abstract

Syphilis is a bacterial sexually transmitted infection (STI) caused by Treponema pallidum. This disease results in significant morbidity and mortality. This study aims to analyze the predictors of syphilis incidence in the MSM population, namely age, education level, HIV status, use of condoms, consumption of drugs/injecting drugs, alcohol consumption, number of sex partners and STI examinations. The research design is cross sectional using secondary data from the 2015 IBBS. The analysis used is Cox regression which estimates the Prevalence Ratio value. The proportion of syphilis infection in the MSM group in 10 districts/cities in Indonesia is 15.7%. There was a significant relationship between HIV status (PR 2.05 (95% CI 1.58-2.66), Age (20-24 years old PR 2.45 (95% CI 1.07-5.64), 25-24 years old. 29 years PR 3.01 (95% CI 1.30-6.95), > 30 years PR 2.42 (95% CI 1.04-5.65) versus 15-19 years), Alcohol (PR 1, 37 (95% CI 1.01-1.86), Education 1.45 (95% CI 1.02-2.06) with the incidence of syphilis infection in MSM while condom use, drugs, number of male sex partners and STI examinations were not statistically related with p value > 0.05.

Abstract

Dengue fever is still one of the main health problems that threaten people in Indonesia, including Jambi City. Tahtul Yaman neighbourhood, Jambi Province is one of the residential areas that has dengue fever data. In general, most residents use water tanks, the environment looks less clean, and there are still puddles and water reservoirs in the homes of some residents. This activity aims to provide knowledge and understanding to the community about dengue fever and its mitigation strategies, with an emphasis on prevention through vector control, especially the Aedes aegypti mosquito. This counselling will be focused on the Tahtul Yaman Village community. The method used was lecture method and interactive discussion using powerpoint, posters and leaflets on DHF and 3M Plus. After the education, there was an increase in knowledge reaching 89.25%. It is suggested that prevention efforts should focus on controlling the larval population and minimising mosquito breeding sites. Mosquito eradication programmes such as 3M Plus need to be carried out routinely and involve the active participation of the entire community. Effective dengue prevention will create a healthier and safer environment for the community.
