Abstract

Currently, education for early childhood is developing rapidly, which can be seen from the various media used by teachers. This research aims to explore the use of interactive videos as a learning medium in improving the language skills of young children. Interactive videos are considered an innovative and interesting medium for children because they present material with cute animated images, historical folklore and interesting musical instruments. This research uses qualitative methods with a literature study approach. The research results show that learning through interactive videos can increase children's enthusiasm for learning, develop critical thinking skills, and help children be more confident in expressing their opinions on a topic.

Abstract

The current challenge is the absence of proper attitudes and behaviors in children when it comes to developing discipline in their activities. This issue is influenced by methods or developmental aspects that have not been fully optimized. Some children still struggle to show disciplined behavior, such as not queuing when using the toilet or fighting over toys with others. The goal of this article is to explore how rewards can improve children's discipline habituation. Using rewards as a strategy to foster discipline in children is an effective way to help them develop disciplined behavior. The research approach used in this study is a descriptive quantitative method with a literature review. The data collection involves analyzing primary sources, such as relevant books and journals, and then drawing connections between the issues and the applicable theories. The results from various sources suggest that reward-based strategies to improve children's discipline are highly effective and should be implemented. This method positively affects several developmental aspects, such as promoting responsibility, encouraging self-control, motivating children to improve their activities, and shaping their character for the future.

Abstract

Permainan tradisional merupakan warisan budaya yang sarat dengan nilai edukatif, moral, dan sosial yang perlu dilestarikan di tengah arus globalisasi serta dominasi permainan modern berbasis teknologi. Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Desa Padang Sanggar dengan melibatkan anak-anak usia 7–12 tahun. Tujuannya adalah untuk mengenalkan kembali permainan tradisional sebagai bentuk kearifan lokal sekaligus sarana pengembangan karakter. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup identifikasi masalah, sosialisasi, praktik permainan, pendampingan, dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa anak-anak terlibat secara aktif, mendapatkan stimulus perkembangan fisik, kognitif, dan sosial-emosional, serta menikmati suasana ceria yang tercipta selama kegiatan. Selain itu, program ini mampu mengurangi ketergantungan anak terhadap gawai dan mendorong tumbuhnya keharmonisan dalam masyarakat melalui interaksi lintas generasi. Dengan demikian, pelestarian permainan tradisional tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai media hiburan, tetapi juga sebagai strategi pendidikan karakter, penguatan identitas budaya, serta wadah membangun kebersamaan dalam masyarakat.
