Abstract

In the perspective of religious thought, Muhammadiyah is often seen as an ambiguous Islamic mass organization. For example, in matters of worship, Muhammadiyah is very consistent in using the Bayani approach in understanding religious texts, but to determine the beginning of the lunar month associated with a time of worship, Muhammadiyah tends to use the Burhani approach. As a consequence, Muhammadiyah is often considered conservative, but at the same time also considered liberal. This perception does not arise if the methodology of religious thought in Muhammadiyah is comprehensively understood. Therefore, this study assessed the typological thinking in Muhammadiyah. A qualitative method was used for describing the characteristics of an individual, circumstances, symptoms, or certain groups based on the phenomenon of the problem reviewed in a comprehensive and depth way. There are three typologies of religious thought in Muhammadiyah, namely conservative typology, liberal typology, and moderate typology.

Abstract

This paper discusses about the modernization of education conducted by Muhammadiyah at the beginning of the 20th century circa 1911-1932. The modernization was initiated by the founde of Muhammadiyah Kiyai Haji Ahmad Dahlan, indeed effected by religious social conditions of Moslems at that moment which is still lagging behind in all aspects of life. For Muhammadiyah, to solve the problem is modernization of education. Themodernization of education conducted by Muhammadiyah is a way of adapting the educational system of Netherlands in Islamic education. The form of the model of Muhammadiyah school is same as the model of Netherland school. The term of Aziyumardi Azra , referred to as “public school (Netherlands) plus” orStreenbrink referred to as “Ultra Conservative”. In that new and modern school, in addition to religious studies, taught public lessons; the instruments of the study adopted directly as how Netherlands learning. Applied level system and school payment from students. As well as he most phenomenal is the teachers have been given incentives in the form of salary. All of this things, which we now see as something that is good, at that moment it is something very new, strange and even overwhelming.

Abstract

Abstrak: Baitul Arqam Dosen merupakan kegiatan kaderisasi pokok yang diselenggarakan untuk menyatukan visi serta membangun pemahaman nilai ideologis, sistem, dam aksi gerakan bagi dosen di lingkungan Perguruan Tinggi Muhammadiyah. Kegiatan Baitul Arqam dosen Universitas Muhammadiyah Mataram ini dalam rangka penanaman pemahaman tentang ideologi Muhammadiyah, memperteguh identitas diri sebagai warga persyarikatan Muhammadiyah, peningkatan komitmen dan integritas dalam mengembangkan amal usaha dan persyarikatan Muhammadiyah, dan membentuk staf pengajar perguruan tinggi Muhammadiyah yang unggul dan Islami. Peserta Baitul Arqam adalah dosen kontrak Universitas Muhammadiyah Mataram yang berjumlah 32 orang. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah ceramah bevariasi, demonstrasi, simulasi, dan diskusi. Penilaian keadaan peserta menggunakan model Konteks, Input, Proses dan Produk (CIPP) pada aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, rata-rata nilai peserta pada aspek kognitif 75.7, afektif 76.5 dan psikomotorik 74.13. Dengan demikian, tingkat pemahaman dosen kontrak Universitas Muhammadiyah Mataram tentang nilai Al Islam dan Kemuhammadiyah berada pada level baik. Artinya, penerapan Baitul Arqam memiliki pengaruh terhadap peningkatan pemahaman nilai Al Islam dan Kemuhammadiyah bagi dosen Universitas Muhammadiyah Mataram.Abstract: Baitul Arqam for lecturers is the principal regeneration training held to unify the vision and build understanding of ideological values, systems, and real movement for lecturers within the Muhammadiyah Universities. The Baitul Arqam training for lecturers of the Muhammadiyah University of Mataram is to build an understanding ideology of Muhammadiyah, strengthening self-identity as a Muhammadiyah community, increasing commitment and integrity in developing Muhammadiyah's charities and organizations, and to build an excellent and Islamic teaching staff of Muhammadiyah University of Mataram. Participants of Baitul Arqam are 32 lecturers. The methods used in this training are varied lectures, demonstrations, simulations, and discussions. For assessment the participants was using the Context, Input, Process and Product (CIPP) model based on cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. Based on the analysis results, the average score of participants in the cognitive aspect was 75.7, affective 76.5 and psychomotor 74.13. Thus, the level of understanding of contract lecturers at Muhammadiyah University of Mataram was good. So, the applied of Baitul Arqam has effect in increasing the participants’ understanding towards Al Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan values for the lectures of Muhammadiyah University of Mataram.

Abstract

Abstrak: Sistem administrasi pemerintahan Desa Telagawaru yang belum efektif, dalam pelaksanaan pemerintahan desa masih terdapat perangkat desa maupun lembaga kemasyaraatan desa yang belum memahami tugas dan fungsinya; dan kurang aktifnya BPD, lembaga kemasyarakatan termasuk pemuda serta pengelolaan BumDes. Tujuan kegiatan ini untuk: 1) menguatkan sistem administrasi skala prioritas yang dilaksanakan oleh pemerintah desa dalam meningkatkan pelayanan terhadap masyarakat; 2) mendorong sistem administrasi pemerintah desa dan faktor-faktor apa saja yang menghambat sistem administrasi pemerintah desa dalam program pembangunan. Adapun yang menjadi tahapan dalam persiapan pelaksanaan kegiatan workshop/sosialisi Penguatan Sistem Administrasi Pemerintahan Desa meliputi, (1) Koordinasi dengan Pemerintah Desa Telagawaru, (2) Koordinasi dengan tokoh masyartakat, tokoh agama dan tokoh pemuda, (3) Persiapan sarana spanduk dan materi workshop/sosialisasi, (4) Workshop/sosialisasi tentang administrasi desa yang diatur dalam UU Desa di desa Telagawaru dengan perangkat desa berjumlah 11 peserta. Hasil yang dicapai dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah; 1) penguatan kelembagaan desa sesuai dengan tugas dan fungsi dari masing-masing kelembagaan di tingkat desa; 2) rekomendasi atas pemecahan masalah melalui penguatan sistem administrasi pemerintahan desa yang merujuk pada unsur kebutuhan pemerintah dan masyarakat desa Telagawaru.Abstract: The administrative system of the Telagawaru Village government has not been effective, in the implementation of village government there are still village officials and village community institutions that do not understand their duties and functions; and the lack of activity of BPD, community institutions including youth and the management of BumDes. Abstract

Abstrak : Penelitian ini merupakan upaya ilmiah untuk mengkomparasikan konsep normative idealis tentang hukuman bagi tindak pidana pencurian dalam prespektif Islam dengan Negara. Urgensi dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mencari titik temu antara penegakkan syariát Islam dalam tindak pidana pencurian yang kerapkali dikonfrontasikan dengan hukum negara. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penilitian Kualitatif dengan pendekatan Studi Kepustakaan. Peneliti mengelaborasi dan mengkomparasikan sumber primer yang menjadi objek utama penelitian yaitu; teks Al-Qurán surat Al-Maidah ayat 33-38 dan BAB XXII Pasal 362-367 Kitab Undang-Undang Hukum Pidana (KUHP). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah editing, Organizing & finding. Adapun analisis data yang digunakan adalah Deduktif-Komparatif dimana penelitian ini berangkat dari konsep-konsep umum mengenai tindak pidana pencurian dalam Islam kemudian dikomparasikan dengan konsep umum tindak pidana pencurian dalam BAB XXII Pasal 362-367 Kitab Undang-Undang Hukum Pidana (KUHP) sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa secara normative, Syariát Islam dengan Hukum Negara memiliki kesamaan dalam konsep dan tujuan (Maqasid Asy-Syar‎’iyah) pemberian hukuman (had) bagi pelaku tindak pidana pencurian yang disertai dengan perbuatan mengancam nyawa orang lain (Al-Muharib ) yaitu; ancaman kurungan penjara (yunfauna min al-ardhi) sampai dengan hukuman mati. Dengan demikian upaya deradikalisasi dapat dilakukan dengan memberikan edukasi bahwa Syariat Islam telah termanisfesatasikan dalam hukum di NKRI dengan menggunakan maqoshid asy-syaríyah sebagai jembatan penghubung antara Islam dengan Negara sehingga dapat dipahami bahwa Islam menjadi nilai dalam sendi-sendi kehidupan benegara. Abstract:  This research is a scientific effort to compare the idealistic normative concept of punishment for the crime of theft in an Islamic perspective with the state. The urgency of this research is to find common ground between the enforcement of Islamic law in the crime of theft which is often confronted with state law. This research is a type of qualitative research with a literature study approach. The researcher elaborates and compares the primary sources which are the main objects of research, namely; the text of the Koran Al-Maidah verses 33-38 and CHAPTER XXII Articles 362-367 of the Criminal Code (KUHP). Data collection techniques used are editing, organizing & finding. The data analysis used is Deductive-Comparative where this research departs from general concepts regarding the crime of theft in Islam and then compares it with the general concept of the crime of theft in CHAPTER XXII Articles 362-367 of the Criminal Code (KUHP) so that it can concluded that normatively, Islamic Shari'a and State Law have similarities in the concept and purpose (Maqasid Asy-Syar‎'iyah) of giving punishment (had) for perpetrators of the crime of theft accompanied by acts that threaten the lives of others (Al-Muharib), namely; the threat of imprisonment (yunfauna min al-ardhi) up to the death penalty. Thus deradicalization efforts can be carried out by providing education that Islamic Shari'a has been manifested in law in the Republic of Indonesia by using maqoshid ash-syaríyah as a bridge between Islam and the state so that it can be understood that Islam is a value in the joints of state life.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the responses of non-Muslim students to AIK (Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan) learning materials and the factors behind their responses to AIK learning. This quantitative field research applied a case study model where the respondents and the sample in this study were non-Muslim students at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (Fisipol) University of Muhammadiyah Mataram (UMMAT), which were taken through a systemic purposive sampling. After that, the data collection was carried out using closed and mixed questionnaires. Then all data were analyzed using percentile descriptive statistical analysis techniques and drawn to a conclusion using deduction and induction methods. The results of this study were first: the response of non-Muslim students to Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan (AIK) learning materials was very positive by attending all meetings held by AIK lecturers, both online and offline meetings. This is evidenced by the data processing results showing that the majority of students stated that they were satisfied as much as 62%, while 8% said they were very satisfied, and as many as 30% said they were quite satisfied. Second, the factors behind the response of non-Muslim students to AIK learning are: 1) campus policies that require all students, both Muslim and non-Muslim, to take AIK courses, 2) awareness that arises in students to know Islam more even though in the end it did not become their belief, 3), the desire to realize the nature of religious tolerance in fellow students on the UMMAT campus.

Abstract

Abstrak: Kajian ini mengeksplorasi terhadap ayat-ayat al-Qur'an yang menjelaskan tentang eko-teologi, sebelum dianalisis dan dideskripsikan dalam konteks tafsir tematik ayat-ayat tersebut. Deskripsi yang mendalam, metodis, faktual, dan benar tentang fakta, kualitas, dan interaksi antara fenomena yang diteliti adalah apa yang ingin dilakukan oleh metodologi kualitatif dalam penelitian ini semacam penelitian deskriptif-kritis. Ayat-ayat dalam Al-Qur'an dan analisis sastra digunakan dalam pengumpulan data untuk penelitian ini. Sastra/sajak primer dan sekunder yang diteliti dalam penelitian ini memiliki jenis yang berbeda. Informasi tersebut dikumpulkan, kemudian dipetakan, dievaluasi, dan dianalisis untuk membuat konsep sistematis tentang ayat-ayat al-Qur'an yang membahas eko-teologi dalam konteks penafsiran ayat-ayat tematik. Temuan penelitian ini yakni: 1). Al-Qur'an selain mengatur interaksi dengan Tuhan dan sesama, juga mengatur interaksi dengan alam. 2). Keberadaan alam semesta merupakan bukti kekuasaan dan kecerdikan Tuhan Yang Maha Esa dalam menciptakannya dari ketiadaan. 3). Al-Qur'an pula menegaskan "kesetaraan" dalam penciptaan antara manusia, hewan, dan tumbuhan. 4). Derajat manusia lebih tinggi dalam hierarki bentuk daripada binatang dan lainnya, tidak boleh dijadikan alasan bagi manusia untuk memperlakukan alam secara semena-mena atau memanfaatkannya secara berlebihan. 5). Janji teologis sang pencipta menempatkan hanya manusia yang penuh dengan kebaikan yang akan mewarisi bumi tersebut dalam ayat-ayat Qur'an. 6). Al-Qur'an tidak mempermasalahkan adanya kekafiran, khususnya hilangnya keyakinan teologis dan kesadaran akan adanya kewajiban moral, yang menurut teologi akan membawa balasan dari Tuhan di akhirat dan berdampak pada masyarakat Abstract:  This study explores the verses of the Qur'an that explain eco-theology, before being analyzed and described in the context of the thematic interpretation of these verses. An in-depth, methodical, factual, and true description of the facts, qualities, and interactions between the phenomena studied is what the qualitative methodology intends to do in this research, a kind of descriptive-critical research. Verses in the Qur'an and literary analysis were used in collecting data for this study. The primary and secondary literature/poetry studied in this study have different types. This information is collected, then mapped, evaluated, and analyzed to create a systematic concept of the verses of the Qur'an that discuss eco-theology in the context of interpreting the thematic verses. The findings of this study are: 1). Al-Qur'an not only regulates interaction with God and others, but also regulates interaction with nature. 2). The existence of the universe is proof of the power and ingenuity of God Almighty in creating it from nothing. 3). The Qur'an also emphasizes "equality" in creation between humans, animals and plants. 4). Humans are higher in the hierarchy of forms than animals and others. should not be used as an excuse for humans to treat nature arbitrarily or make excessive use of it. 5). The creator's theological promise places only human beings who are full of goodness will inherit the earth in the verses of the Qur'an. 6). The Qur'an is not concerned with the existence of disbelief, especially the loss of theological beliefs and awareness of the existence of moral obligations, which according to theology will bring rewards from God in the hereafter and have an impact on society

Abstract

ABSTRAKTujuan kegiatan pengabdian yaitu untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa dalam menyusun artikel  ilmiah yang dipublikasikan pada jurnal nasional terakreditasi. Metode pengabdian terdiri dari sosialiasi, pelaksanaan kegiatan dan evaluasi. Lokasi kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan di Mataram pada Progam Studi pendidikan Matematika Univesitas Muhammadiyah Mataram. Hasil pengabdian bahwa ada peningkatan pemahaman dalam menyusunan artikel ilmiah nasional terakreditasi dan dapat melakukan submit artikel ilmiah di OJS versi 2. Kata kunci: pelatihan; artikel ilmiah; terakreditasi ABSTRACTThe purpose of service activities is to increase student understanding in compiling scientific articles published in accredited national journals. Abstract

Abstrak Ceramah Nuzulul Quran sebagai instrumen penting dalam memperdalam pemahaman dan mengaktualisasikan ajaran Al-Quran dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatan pemahaman dan implementasi nilai-nilai Nuzulul Quran melalui ceramah di Mesjid Al Muhajjirin Lombok Barat. Metode pengabdian dilaksanakan melalui serangkaian beberapa tahap diantaranya: perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Hasil dan pembahasan pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah kegiatan nuzulul quran mencerminkan perubahan positif dalam pola pikir dan prilaku masyarakat, yang tercermin dalam peningkatan solidaritas sosial, tanggung jawab moral, dan partisipasi aktif dalam kegiatan sosial kemasyarakatan. Kegiatan  partisipatif dalam ceramah Nuzulul Quran dapat menjadi model efektif dalam memperkuat pemahaman agama dan mempromosikan nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam ajaran Al-Quran untuk membangun masyarakat yang lebih harmonis dan berdaya. Kata kunci: ceramah; nuzulul qur’an; model; petunjuk Abstract Nuzulul Quran lectures are an important instrument in deepening understanding and actualizing the teachings of the Koran in everyday life. The aim of this community service is to increase understanding and implementation of the values of the Nuzulul Quran through lectures at the Al Muhajjirin Mosque, West Lombok. The service method is implemented through a series of stages including: planning, implementation and evaluation. The results and discussion of community service are that nuzulul quran activities reflect positive changes in people's thought patterns and behavior, which are reflected in increased social solidarity, moral responsibility, and active participation in social activities. Participatory activities in Nuzulul Quran lectures can be an effective model in strengthening religious understanding and promoting the values contained in the teachings of the Koran to build a more harmonious and empowered society. Keywords: lecture; nuzulul qur'an; model; instruction
