Abstract

This research specifically aims to find out which factors significantly influence the acceptance of LMS developed by the learning team of the Graphic and Visual Media Innovation course at the State University of Malang. The course learning uses two management systems, namely LMS and Progress Report Card (PRC). Acceptance analysis is conducted because the LMS used is a product prototype that has just been implemented in the first semester student lectures. The research was conducted using the technology acceptance model framework. The analysis process uses a quantitative approach with hypothesis testing through multiple linear regression tests. There are two variables observed, namely usefulness (X1), ease of use (X2) and tendency to use (Y). From the analysis process that has been carried out, the results show that the two independent variables (X1 & X2) simultaneously have a significant influence on the dependent variable (Y). However, there is a finding that ease of use (X2) does not significantly affect the usage tendency variable (Y). For further studies, it should be conducted with a more massive scope, not only focusing on one narrow context, using more variables and external factors, and focusing on the learner experience.

Abstract

Mastery of technological competence within the TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) framework is crucial for educators to succeed in increasingly digital learning environments. This article explores the development and implementation of training on using large language models (LLM) for educators, focusing on their ability to integrate this technology into the learning process. While LLMs are controversial, they offer significant potential to support learning, such as content creation, self-directed learning, and student evaluation. However, the effectiveness of using LLMs heavily depends on the clarity of instructions given by the user, often posing a major challenge. This study employs a simplified Action Learning model comprising three stages: design, implementation, and evaluation. During the design phase, a needs analysis revealed participants' low confidence and understanding of AI technology. The training implementation involved registration, material presentation, and hands-on practice with supervision. Evaluation covered three levels of Kirkpatrick's model: reaction, learning, and knowledge transfer. The evaluation results indicated a significant increase in participants' confidence in using AI, though concerns about the impact of AI on students' critical and creative thinking skills remain. The conclusion suggests that the training effectively enhances participants' understanding and skills in utilizing LLMs. It recommends further research involving a broader range of participants and the use of LMS technology for tracking learning outcomes. The training underscores the importance of improving TPACK competence amid disruptive technological advancements

Abstract

This study develops a theoretical framework for learning analytics utilizing data from the Moodle Learning Management System (LMS). Despite Moodle's extensive use in educational settings, its potential for learning analytics remains underutilized. This research aims to design a predictive framework for identifying learning difficulties through Moodle's internal analytics, incorporating various data points such as activity completion, attendance logs, social interactions, and learner habits. The study employs a research and development methodology with three main stages: (1) needs analysis and learning component identification, (2) theoretical framework design, and (3) validation through focused group discussions with learning experts. The framework integrates predictive modeling for learning retention, task load analysis, and personalized learning style assessments based on the VARK model. Results demonstrate that the framework effectively uses Moodle's default logs for analyzing learner behavior, although it is limited to online interactions within the LMS. Validation confirms its alignment with Moodle's architecture and online learning theories, with minor adjustments for task load components. The framework offers a scalable solution for institutions managing large student populations and varied learning models, serving as a foundation for early intervention and improved learning outcomes. Future studies could expand the framework's scope to include offline and face-to-face interactions.

Abstract

Kata Kunci: kemandirian belajar, mobile learning, generasi Z Abstract Self-directed learning is a crucial competency that supports learners in overcoming challenges in the digital era. Mobile learning has emerged as an educational approach that promotes self-directed learning, but its effectiveness is influenced by internal factors such as self-efficacy, optimism, and technological competence. This study aims to analyze the influence of self-efficacy, optimism, and artificial intelligence competence on the self- directed learning of Generation Z. The research employed a quantitative approach with a survey method involving a group of high school students in Malang. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings indicate that self-efficacy, optimism, and artificial intelligence competence, both individually and collectively, do not significantly influence self- directed learning. The contribution level of these variables is relatively low, with most of the variability in self- directed learning being affected by other factors beyond this study. These results suggest that the implementation of mobile learning requires a more comprehensive approach, including consideration of external factors such as institutional support and technological readiness. Keyword: self-directed learning, mobile learning, Generation Z

Abstract

The National Educational Technology Talent Survey (NETTS) addresses the gap between Educational Technology graduates and private sector job opportunities in Indonesia. By connecting students, alumni, and industry practitioners, NETTS fosters professional readiness and promotes the recognition of Educational Technology in diverse fields. Using a research and development framework, NETTS developed activities including job market surveys, webinars, and training workshops to enhance graduate competencies. Findings indicate a lack of awareness among students regarding industry roles, despite existing market demand. Positive feedback from alumni and participants highlights NETTS’ potential to create a sustainable ecosystem for collaboration and knowledge exchange. Future initiatives should focus on expanding partnerships with industry stakeholders and student associations to maximize program impact.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a comprehensive Open Educational Resources (OER) management system to enhance educational resource accessibility across institutions. Leveraging Creative Commons licensing, the system addresses key challenges such as metadata completeness, copyright, and licensing issues. By focusing on policy clarity, privacy, and trust, the proposed system ensures efficient management and interoperability of OER. A needs assessment survey revealed a strong interest among students in cross-institutional learning resources, with respondents expressing satisfaction with existing resources and a desire for additional content. The system's editorial workflow and comprehensive metadata management optimize content visibility and usability, fostering a collaborative educational environment. The developed platform, a Progressive Web App, facilitates easy access, contribution, verification, and publication of educational content, ultimately enhancing the accessibility and quality of educational resources.
