Abstract

Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui penguatan ketinggian gelombang tsunami  akibat refraksi dari bentuk geometri morfologi cekungan teluk Sungai Serut desa Rawa Makmur di Kota Bengkulu. Penguatan akibat geometri ini mengancam 6.000 orang penduduk desa Rawa Makmur dan sekitarnya yang bermukim di ujung teluk dengan rata-rata ketinggian pemukiman antara 3-5 meter di atas permukaan laut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengukuran langsung di lapangan berbagai faktor yang mempengaruhi penguatan ketinggian gelombang tsunami tersebut, antara lain: sudut cekungan, panjang teluk, topografi, kedalam laut, ketinggian pemukiman, faktor peredaman. Hasil penelitian memperkirakan penguatan ketinggian di ujung teluk dan sekitarnya mencapai 1,5 – 3 kali lipat dari ketinggian tsunami di mulut teluk sebelum masuk cekungan atau mengalami penguatan antara 50 % sampai 300 %.   Katakunci: penguatan, geometri, refraksi, efek teluk, Bengkulu

Abstract

Bengkulu Province is the converging path region between the Indo-Australian - Eurasian tectonic plates in the ocean and the Sumatran f ault crossing on the mainland. The condition implies that the sliding force of the slab is easy to trigger fractures and to cause the material to be relatively less elastic, resulting in high seismic intensity. This study aims to identify areas with the potential for landslides and its mapping, and to analyze the factors that cause landslides in Central Bengkulu Regency, Bengkulu Province, Indonesia. This study was conducted using rock physical parameters of ground shear strain (GSS) which were correlated with parameters of slope, slope height, Vs30 value, fault distance to measurement point, rock conditions, rainfall, and PGA value. Furthermore, these parameters were overlaid thoroughly by the statistical method of the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Data acquisition is divided into two stages, namely the secondary data collection stage and the field survey stage. Secondary data collection was carried out to support the creation of landslide potential maps, analysis, and field survey data input. Secondary data is the value of Vs 30, the distance of the fault to the measurement point, rainfall, and the PGA value. Field survey data are in the form of GSS values, slope, slope height, and rock conditions. The results of this study are identified areas that have the category of high, medium, and low landslide potential. Based on the calculated parameters, the GSS parameter is the most dominant which affects the landslide potential in the studied area.

Abstract

ABSTRAK- Kota Bengkulu merupakan daerah yang sangat rawan terhadap ancaman gempabumi. Salah satu upaya mengurangi dampak bencana gempabumi adalah melakukan analisis potensi tersebut berdasarkan data mikrotremor dan metode pembobotan statistik. Penelitian ini bertujuan memetakan dan menganalisis daerah-daerah yang rentan mengalami ancaman bahaya gempabumi. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan data sekunder dan survei lapangan. Data sekunder bersumber dari penelitian-penelitian terkait, sedangkan data survei lapangan berupa data mikrotremor menggunakan metode Horizontal to Vertical Spectral Ratio (HVSR). Alat yang digunakan untuk survei lapangan berupa broadband seismometer PASI Gemini-2 triaxial geophone dengan natural freq. 2 Hz ± 10%, berat 2 kg (s.n.: 12/004). Akusisi data lapangan dilakukan selama 30 menit (360.000 samples) per titik pengukuran dengan sampling rate 5 ms (200 Hz). Selanjutnya, tumpangsusun hasil pengolahan data sekunder dan lapangan menggunakan metode pembobotan statistik Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), sehingga diperoleh peta potensi kerentanan gempabumi di wilayah studi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang ditunjukkan dalam peta kerentanan gempabumi di daerah Kota Bengkulu dalam penelitian ini, Kecamatan Gading Cempaka, Kecamatan Singaranpati, Kecamatan Selebar, sebagian kecil Kecamatan Ratu Agung, dan Kecamatan Muara Bangkahulu adalah daerah yang mempunyai potensi kegempaan tinggi, sedangkan Kecamatan Selebar adalah daerah yang mempunyai potensi kegempaan rendah. Oleh karena itu untuk daerah berisiko tinggi perlu lebih diwaspadai dan perlu perencanaan pembangunan yang mengacu kepada standar risiko bencana. ABSTRACT− Bengkulu City is an area that is very prone to earthquake threats. One of the method to reduce the impact of an earthquake disaster is to conduct a potential analysis based on microtremor data and statistical weighting methods. This study aims to map and analyze the areas have the vulnerability to experience an earthquake hazard. This study was conducted using secondary data and field surveys. Secondary data comes from related studies, while field survey data is in the form of microtremor data using the Horizontal to Vertical Spectral Ratio (HVSR) method. The instrument used for the field survey was a broadband seismometer PASI Gemini-2 triaxial geophone with natural freq. is 2 Hz ± 10%, weight is 2 kg (s.n .: 12/004). Field data acquisition was carried out for 30 minutes (360,000 samples) per observation point with a sampling rate of 5 ms (200 Hz). Furthermore, the overlay of the results of secondary and field data processing uses the statistical weighting method of Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), in order to obtain a map of potential the seismic vulnerability in the study area. Based on the results of the analysis shown in the seismic vulnerability map in the Bengkulu City area in this study, Gading Cempaka Sub-district, Singaranpati Sub-district, Selebar Sub-district, a small part of Ratu Agung Sub-district, and Muara Bangkahulu Sub-district were areas that had a high seismic vulnerability, while Selebar Sub-district were areas that had low seismic vulnerability. Therefore, high-risk areas need to be more vigilant and need development planning that refers to disaster risk standards.

Abstract

University of Bengkulu is a communal area located on the west coast of Sumatra. The main water sources to support activities at UNIB come from shallow wells (dug) and deep wells (drilled). This study aims to analyze the physical and chemical parameters of dug and bore water wells in the environment of UNIB’s campus. Water quality testing for dug and bore wells includes several treatments. Water quality analysis using the Indonesian National Standard method. The results of water quality testing for dug and bore wells founded several physical and chemical parameters exceeding Class II water quality standards. The results of the testing of the quality of water in the TSS 1 dug well had exceeded the quality standard. The results of testing the quality of dug wells 1, 2, 3 and 4 pH and phosphate parameters had exceeded the quality standard. The results of testing the quality of dug 2 meter wells dug DHL had exceeded the quality standard. The results of the testing of the quality of water in a borehole 1 phosphate parameter had exceeded the quality standard. The results of water quality testing for boreholes 2 and 3 Fe parameters had exceeded the quality standard. Dug and bore well water sources in the UNIB environment can be used for drinking water, drinking freshwater fish, livestock, irrigating crops, and / or other purposes that require the same water quality as these uses. Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat penerapan sistem aplikasi teknologi GPS untuk pelacakanposisi hewan ternak (Sapi Bali) berbasis smartphone telah dilakukan di Desa Pulau PanggungKecamatan Luas Kabupaten Kaur Provinsi Bengkulu. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakatini diawali dengan pemberian penjelasan tentang sistem kerja GPS dan kegunaannya,memberikan pelatihan pengoperasian sistem pelacakan sapi menggunakan smartphone,pemasangan GPS pada Sapi dan pengujian selama 2 jam, serta melakukan validasi keakuratanGPS yang telah dipasang pada Sapi. Setelah diamati selama 2 jam tidak ada reaksi sapi yangmenunjukkan ketidak nyamanan setelah dipasangi GPS, kemudian sapi tersebut dilepaskanuntuk beraktivitas seperti biasanya. Proses pelacakan posisi sapi dapat dilakukan dengan tigacara, pertama menggunakan aplikasi TRSTAR yang di download melalui playstore; keduamenggunakan pengiriman pesan (SMS); ketiga menggunakan menu panggil (call). Setelahproses pemasangan GPS dan sapi juga sudah beraktivitas seperti biasa, dilakukan pelacakanposisi baik melaui aplikasi, maupun melalui menu SMS dan call. Setelah mendapatkaninformasi posisi sapi kemudian lakukan penelusuran sesuai dengan rute sesuai dengan tampilanmaps pada smartphone pengguna/pemilik sapi (user). Hasil penelusuran menujukan posisiyang tepat antara yang tertera di maps dengan posisi sapi yang sebenarnya sehingga sangatmembantu khalayak sasaran dalam mengetahui posisi sapi saat dicari untuk dikandangkan padasore harinya.

Abstract

Lada perdu merupakan solusi dalam budidaya lada tanpa tiang panjat. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian adalah untuk membuat bibit tanaman lada perdu sebagai percontohan bagi masyarakat di Desa Pulau Panggung Kabupaten Kaur Provinsi Bengkulu untuk mengatasi kendala pada tanaman lada tiang panjat. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan dengan memberikan pelatihan pembuatan bibit lada perdu di Desa Pulau Panggung, Kabupaten Kaur. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peserta dalam pembuatan bibit lada perdu memiliki antusias tinggi. Keberhasilan dalam kegiatan pelatihan ini adalah peserta dapat memilih cabang buah sebagai bahan tanam lada perdu. Keberhasilan cabang buah yang ditanam ditandai dengan adanya kuncup daun yang terbentuk. Kesimpulan kegiatan pengabdian adalah pembuatan bibit lada perdu dapat dijadikan sebagai teknik baru dalam budidaya lada.

Abstract

PLTU Teluk Sepang Bengkulu City produces heat waste dumped back into the sea which affects the quality of the water so that it has a negative impact on marine life. This study aimed to identify the quality of the water around PLTU Teluk Sepang Bengkulu City based on the physical and chemical parameters. The method used was direct measurement at the research location which is carried out at 12 measurement points,i.e 4 points around the outlet area, and 8 points in the off-shore area. The measurement result was compared with seawater quality standard for marine biota based on the Minister of Environment Decree No. 51 of 2004 and was validated by analysis of sea water quality before the PLTU had operated. The result showed that the some parameters met the quality standards for marine biota included DO of 5.62-7.82, pH and turbidity in the offshore area with each value of 7.24-7.86 and 1.68-4.846 NTU. Meanwhile, the parameters which did not meet quality standards include a temperature of 30.62-36 ºC, a salinity of 26.6-30 ‰,  pH and turbidity around the outlet area with each value of  6.7-6.88 and 23.25-146.8 NTU. Based on the validation result, it showed that heat waste had a very significant effect on the physical and chemical parameters of the waters, especially on temperature, pH, and turbidity.

Abstract

Based on the results of the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) between Rindu Hati Village and LPPM Unib, 16 problems were identified. Based on these problems, there are 2 problems (Structure of Tourism Villages and Blockages in Promotion). This service aims to create a map of the existing condition of the tourist area and a video profile of the tourist area of Rindu Hati Village that can be used for promotion via the internet or social media. Implementation methods include problem identification and literature review. Then the data collection process in the form of spatial and non-spatial data such as the coordinates of tourist sites is taken using GPS, videos, photos and other non-spatial data through interviews with POKDARWIS Rindu Hati Village. Data management is done by using mapping and video editing software. The location of the tourist attraction in Rindu Hati Village which is closest to the center of the village is Glamping (03o 42' 41.30” South Latitude and 102o 31' 37.92” East Longitude), Camping Ground (03o 42' 41.25” South Latitude and 102o 31' 39 ,06” East), Waterfall (03o 44' 18.03” South Latitude and 102o 33' 48.42” East Longitude), Batu Jung (03o 43' 38.49” South Latitude and 102o 32' 31.89” East), Lake Telaga Putri (03o 44' 29.83” South Latitude and 102o 33' 23.87” East Longitude). Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk membuat peta kondisi eksisting kawasan wisata dan vedio profil kawasan wisata Desa Rindu Hati yang dapat digunakan untuk promosi melalui internet atau media sosial. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi identifikasi masalah dan kajian literatur. Kemudian dilakukan pengambilan data yang meliputi data spatial dan juga data non spasial seperti pengambilan titik kordinat lokasi wisata dengan menggunakan GPS, video dan foto menggunakan drone atau camera digital serta data-data non spatial lainya yang dilakukan dengan wawancara terhadap POKDARWIS Desa Rindu Hati. Pengelolaan data dilakukan menggunakan software pemetaan dan editing video. Lokasi objek wisata Desa Rindu Hati yang paling dekat dengan pusat desa adalah Glamping (03o 42’ 41,30” LS dan 102o 31’ 37,92” BT), Camping Ground (03o 42’ 41,25” LS dan 102o 31’ 39,06” BT), Air Terjun (03o 44’ 18,03” LS dan 102o 33’ 48,42” BT), Batu Jung (03o 43’ 38,49” LS dan 102o 32’ 31,89” BT), Danau Telaga Putri (03o 44’ 29,83” LS dan 102o 33’ 23,87” BT).
