Abstract

This study proves that Islam has a unique concept of education and constructive values that can be applied in educational system. Discussion on Islamic education has not ended yet; that is why to reveal the Islamic educational values deriving from the primary sources of Islam, the Qur’an and Sunna (prophetic tradition), is not insignificant in the context of educational system in Aceh. Since Aceh has specific privilege in the fields of education, religion, and culture, it is crucial to break up earth the Islamic values and apply them into education programs. Realizing such programs should take accurate and strategic steps through islamization of education, integration of values, and internationalization of way of thinking. Besides, curriculum, method, system, policy, and dichotomy of educational system must be reformed concurrently.

Abstract

Lately, many educational institutions have adopted the technology to facilitate teaching and learning both inside and outside the classroom; even the technology has been widely used in distance learning system. However, there are still many educational institutions are not 'familiar' with the instructional technology. The lack of such intimacy, on the one hand, can be expected as a result of uneven technological diffusion. On the other hand, it is likely due to limited funds and human resources in the institution. In addition, the decision makers (decision makerAs) are not so enthusiastic about the technology. In the study of Islam, the use of instructional technology becomes an important solution to achieve maximum learning outcomes; as well as anticipation of the challenges and demands of the times. By doing so, Islamic religious education be superior education based cutting-edge technology. Akhir-akhir ini banyak lembaga pendidikan telah mengadopsi teknologi untuk memudahkan proses belajar mengajar baik di dalam maupun di luar kelas; bahkan teknologi telah digunakan secara luas dalam sistem belajar jarak jauh. Namun, masih banyak juga lembaga pendidikan yang belum ‘akrab’ dengan teknologi instruksional itu. Ketidakakraban tersebut, pada satu sisi, dapat diduga sebagai akibat difusi teknologi yang tidak merata. Pada sisi lain, ada kemungkinan karena keterbatasan biaya dan sumber daya manusia dalam lembaga tersebut. Di samping itu, para pembuat keputusan (decision makers) tidak begitu antusias terhadap teknologi. Dalam pembelajaran agama Islam, pemanfaatan teknologi instruksional menjadi solusi penting untuk mencapai hasil pembelajaran yang maksimal; dan sekaligus sebagai antisipasi terhadap tantangan dan tuntutan zaman. Dengan begitu, pendidikan agama Islam menjadi pendidikan unggulan yang berbasis teknologi mutakhir. Kata Kunci: Kualitas Pembelajaran, Adopsi Teknologi Instruksional

Abstract

This study proves that institution of pesantren (traditional Islamic boarding school) has been transforming in accordance with its characterictics. In early period, pesantren applied traditional system of education; then it grows and develops more dynamic, adaptive, emancipative, and responsive to the development and the progress of age. In fact, pesantren does not let itself fall into a long traditional system but it adapts to and adopts new values both directly and indirectly into educational system. That is why nowadays it is difficult to find pesantren implementing purely traditional system of education. Due to pesantren has been transforming in such a system of education that, typologically, at least, it can be differentiated into three types: firstly, traditional pesantren; secondly, transitional pesantren; and thirdly, modern pesantren. This study conducted by using descriptive-analysis method with social-history approach. Finding out data or information concerning the existence of pesantren, the writer refers to previous studies written by experts and other supported and relevant written matterials.

Abstract

The existence of the Teacher Quality Development Center (PPMG) is still questioned when the quality of education is declining where the issue of the quality of education in Aceh is low. Some education observers immediately highlighted PPMG as the party most responsible for the low quality of education. The low quality of teachers in Aceh suspected that PPMG has not carried out its functions properly. This study focuses its study on the role and function of PPMG in improving the competence of Islamic religious education teachers and character by using data collection techniques: observation, documentation, and interviews. While the sample is taken by purposive sampling technique, which is the determination of the sample aimed at certain considerations. In this context, the sample was PPMG Wilayah VII Meulaboh in coordination with the Education Offices of West Aceh, Nagan Raya, and Aceh Jaya Districts. The data analysis technique used in this research is qualitative-descriptive analysis. The results of the study prove that: 1) PPMG Aceh Education Agency, in this case, PPMG Wilayah VII Meulaboh, has played its role and carried out its functions procedurally but has not been optimal in efforts to improve the quality of Islamic religious education teachers and manners; 2) The implementation of the competency development program for Islamic religious education teachers and manners has been carried out effectively and efficiently; 3) The quality improvement system of Islamic religious education teachers and character conducted by PPMG in Aceh Province uses a scientific approach that refers to the implementation of the 2013 National Curriculum (K-13). The system for enhancing teacher pedagogical competence is pursued by providing training in classroom management, learning design, and civilizing literacy.

Abstract

Kehidupan masyarakat Aceh erat kaitannya dengan lembaga-lembaga sosial dan keagamaan, antara lain: meunasah, masjid, dayah, madrasah, dan kantor urusan agama. Hubungan antara masyarakat dengan lembaga-lembaga tersebut adalah karena sifat religius dan fanatik dalam beragama. Meskipun kadang-kadang pengamalan ajaran agama jarang dilaksanakan secara utuh dan disiplin oleh sebagian masyarakat, karena lemah keimanan dan ketaqwaan, rasa simpati terhadap agama sangat menonjol. Semua lembaga sosial dan keagamaan tersebut merupakan pusat perkumpulan anggota masyarakat meskipun secara umum peranan dan fungsinya berbeda antara satu dengan yang lain; namun tujuan akhir adalah sama, yakni sebagai wadah pemersatu. Para ulama Aceh dalam rentang waktu kurang lebih tujuh abad tergolong produktif dalam melahirkan karya-karya Melayu dalam berbagai bidang keilmuan, termasuk ilmu tauhid, fiqh, tasawuf, tafsir, ilmu hadits, ilmu falak, sastra dan kisah-kisah masa lalu. Produktivitas kitab-kitab Melayu menemukan momentumnya pada abad ke-16 sampai abad ke-19. Pada abad-abad ini, koneksi ulama-ulama Aceh dengan dunia luar begitu aktif dan intensif sehingga terjadi transmisi ilmu di kalangan para ulama antar benua, terutama kawasan India, Persia, Arab dan Nusantara.

Abstract

Tujuan melakukan ulasan buku yang berjudul Tradisi Pesantren:Studi Pandangan Hidup Kyai karya Zamakhsyari Dhofier (1994) ini adalah untuk menggambarkan dinamika pesantren, peranan Kyai dalam memelihara dan mengembangkan faham Islam tradisional di Jawa, menguraikan aspek-aspek unik dan kelemahan serta solusi yang ditawarkan. Memuat novelty dan rekomendasi sebagai panduan bagi mahasiswa, dosen, praktisi dan akademisi yang ingin meningkatkan pemahaman teoritis dan praktis serta para peneliti terkait Islam tradisional karena diskusi bab menawarkan pelaksanaan terbaik dan memberi tahu pembaca tentang apa yang seharusnya dilakukan dalam mengembangkan tradisi pesantren untuk pengajaran dan pembelajaran terkait studi Islam. Studi Islam ini menggunakan pendekatan sosiologis sebagai sumbangsih Zamakhsyari Dhofier dengan pendekatan baru berbeda dengan sebelumnya. Buku Ini terdiri dari tujuh bab, dan setiap bab berfokus pada aspek yang berbeda. Buku ini memberikan wawasan bagi pembaca dan dapat digunakan sebagai panduan penelitian, khususnya para mahasiswa yang akan melasanakan penelitian disertasi.

Abstract

Madrasah Ibtidaiyah teachers have not all realized literacy-based learning. This is because teachers' initiating actions are not all very good, so an in-depth study is needed in this regard. The purpose of this study is to explain the literacy culture of SKI teachers and the initiating action of SKI teachers in shaping literacy culture in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Banda Aceh. This research is field research with descriptive analysis. The data were obtained from SKI teachers in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in Banda Aceh. Data were collected by purposive sampling through questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis began with reducing data, displaying data, and constructing data interactively. includingThe results of this study show that the literacy culture of SKI teachers in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah is manifested through (1) daily activities, including reading activities 15 minutes before learning and reading the Quran; (2) weekly activities, including literacy every Saturday and Minimoli (Mini Moving Lybrary); (3) semesterly activities, including book summarizing programs, reading camps, book donations, book worms, book presentations, and story telling; and (4) annual activities, including making class libraries and hunting literacy programs. (good) forIn addition, the initiating action of SKI teachers in shaping a culture of literacy in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Banda Aceh City is divided into 3, namely a score of 50–70 (not good) for as many as 3 SKI teachers; a score of 71–80 (good) for as many as 8 SKI teachers; and a score of 81–100 (very good) for as many as 4 SKI teachers. Initiating action is not influenced by length of service, latest education, or school status but is determined by being responsive, acting independently, and doing more than required.

Abstract

Teachers have a great responsibility in education as they help direct spiritual aspects to foster good morals in students. The research examines spiritual competence and its implications for learning Islamic Religious Education in schools in Pidie, Aceh. This research is based on the field studyandapplied the qualitative descriptive-analytic method. The study subjects were five teachers, four principals, and three students at the scchoolsin Pidie. Data was collected using interviews, observations, document studies, and focused group dsicussions. The findings showed that the teachers' spiritual competence came from the sincere nature of the teachers in educatingstudents. Such sincerity became the main factor in motivating the teachers to educate sincerely, earnestly, responsibly, and with discipline so that the learning process and the quality of learning could be better. Islamic religious education teachers' spiritual competence has influenced their teaching performance and helped them complete their duties correctly. This spiritual competence also affects the students' morals and enthusiasm to improve their academic achievements. Hence, students have received proper guidance, advice, and role models from teachers in class and extracurricular activities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to create a scientific-based Student Worksheets (LKPD) on the subject matter of Akidah Akhlak grade 8 Madrasah Tsanawiyah by knowing the level of feasibility and the teacher's response to the product being developed. This study uses research and development methods with the ADDIE model, including five steps: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation which are modified according to the conditions at the time of the study. Data collection techniques used validation sheets and teacher response questionnaires. The percentage of the LKPD feasibility validation stage is from the material field, it gets 98.8%, the media field gets 90%, the language field gets 75%, and the scientific approach field gets 98.3%. The total average value of the overall percentage of validators is 90.5% with the criteria of Very Eligible. While the results of the questionnaire responses to Akidah Akhlak teachers obtained a total percentage of 88.4% with very good criteria for the scientific-based Akidah Akhlak LKPD product. So, it can be concluded that this scientific-based LKPD can be used as teaching material in the learning process in the classroom.
