Abstract

This research is a qualitative descriptive research that aims to describe item UAS students class IX SMPN 7 Palembang viewed from the level of difficulty questions, distinguishing power, and test the validity of the item. Data in the form of student values taken from the answer sheet UAS Indonesian Class IX lesson SMPN 7 Palembang. The results obtained, that is based on the level of difficulty there are 35 questions entered in the category of easy, 11 questions entered in the category of moderate, and 4 problems entered in the difficult category. Based on the differentiation of the problem, there are 0 problems that fall into the category of good, 9 questions that fall into the category is good enough, 41 problems that fall in the bad category with the percentage of the power of differentiation of the problem, falling into the category less good, because 82% of the difference power index entry in good enough criteria. Based on the criteria of question validity, the results indicate that there is 1 question included in the category of validity there are 29 problems that fall into the category of unvalidity.

Abstract

Teaching materials is a thing that is needed by learners, especially foreign speakers who learn Indonesian. Teaching materials can also be used by Indonesian teachers to facilitate learning Indonesian language for foreign speakers. Teaching materials developed by researchers to facilitate the process of foreign speakers is LKS Bahasa Indonesia One of the teaching materials developed by researchers to facilitate the process of foreign speakers is LKS Indonesian Language people Foreign. LKS developed by researchers through this paper is LKS Writing Competency for Beginner BIPA Students. LKS developed by researchers based on word square learning model. Word square learning model is one of the contextual learning models that use media box answers. The problem in this research is how the needs of BIPA Beginner students and teachers in writing lessons that serve as learning materials development. The subject of this research is all BIPA students of Bina Darma University.

Abstract

Writing skills is one of the language skills that must be possessed by the students. Writing can help students to express, express ideas or opinions, thoughts, and feelings that are owned. Teachers should have the ability to use the methods, techniques, or strategies in order to motivate students to develop their intellect and creativity in writing. One technique that can be used to stimulate students in skilled and delighted in learning to write particular essay is a description of the application of techniques direct object. The application of this technique is expected to help students, especially new students in elementary school to learn in ideas that has, thus motivating them later for skilled and enjoys writing activities early on.

Abstract

The analysis uses SPSS Version 22 and Anates program version 4. Results study, (1)  quality of multiple choice questions is very difficult with 12 questions, difficult to number 25 items, the number is 6, and easy to 7. There are 3 questions, and 2 items are easy, (2) the quality of multiple choice questions is based on the distinguishing power, there are 32 items, the questions have enough differentiating power of 16 points, and items that have a negative differentiation are 2 questions; the description of the distinguishing power is quite 3 questions, and discriminating power is 2 questions, (3) quality of multiple choice questions is based on validity; valid 31 questions, 19 invalid questions. The description problem, classified as valid 5 questions, (4) quality of multiple choice questions based on reliability, has a high reliability coefficient of 0.898, while the problem of unreliable descriptions with a coefficient of 0.093

Abstract

Abstract : This study aimed to find and determine the difference between Mrs. Wida?s Pronunciation actual pattern of phonemes in Bahasa Indonesia and standardised pattern of phonemes in Bahasa Indonesia. This study needed texts or discourses which contains all phonemes in Bahasa Indonesia. To find the pattern, the writer set an object of study-which is texts taken from online newspaper, Kompas. Then, the texts were read by Mrs. Wida (acting as study sample) and were recorded. Furthermore, the recordings were transcribed to see its phonemes and compared to the standardised ones. Finally, the study showed that there were five differences found between the pronunciation and standardised version. The writer also found several differences which are not classified into pattern so it was called specialised difference.   Keywords: Difference, Phonemes, and Indonesian.   Abstrak : Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mencari dan menentukan perbedaan antara pola realisasi fonem Bahasa Indonesia ucapan Ibu Wida dan pola realisasi fonem Bahasa Indonesia yang standar. Penelitian ini membutuhkan teks yang memasukkan semua fonem Bahasa Indonesia, untuk memenuhi svarat tersebut diambilah obyek penelitian berupa teks yang diambil dari laman Kompas. Kemudian, teks dibaca dengan metode merekam oleh Ibu Wida bertindak sebagai sampel Penelitian. Hasil rekaman akan di transkripkan fonemnya dan dibandingkan dengan transkrip asli Bahasa Indonesia. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan fonem dari data yang teretam sebanyqak 5 perbedaan. Penulis juga menemukan beberapa perbedaan tidak berpola, yang dianggap sebagai perbedaan khusus.   Kata kunci: Perbedaan, Fonem, dan Bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the variations in teaching lecturers, variations in assignments and inhibiting factors for learning Indonesian for Bina Darma University students during the pandemic using qualitative descriptive methods as well as through interviews and observations. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed: (1) The teaching variations of the lecturers were very diverse, which was adjusted to the mastery and skills of the lecturers in using IT to interact with students, such as using E-Learning, E-Mail, Zoom, Google Classroom, WhatsApp, Youtube content; (2) Variations in assignment are also very diverse according to the ability of lecturers to use IT; (3) External and internal factors are inhibiting factors for the variation of Indonesian Language learning among Bina Darma University Students during the Pandemic Period.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of interest in reading on the ability to write exposition texts of class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Tulung Selapan based on students' perceptions. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with a causality approach. Collecting data in this study using a questionnaire. The data in this research utilizes primary data, which is obtained directly from its source in the form of respondents' answers. The data source consists of students' perceptions regarding their reading interests and their impact on their ability to write expository texts. The population of this study was class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Tulung Selapan. Sampling was carried out using a purposive sampling technique. The sample for this research was 60 students of class X Science 1 and class X Science 2 of SMA Negeri 1 Tulung Selapan. The technique is to distribute a 1-5 Likert scale questionnaire. Data analysis in research includes validity testing, reliability testing, classical assumption testing, and hypothesis testing using a simple regression analysis model. The research findings show that there is an influence of interest in reading on the ability to write expository texts in class X Negeri 1 Tulung Selapan, South Sumatra. This is proven by the calculated t value of 4.460 > t table of 2.000 with a significance value of 0.00 < 0.05.

Abstract

This research aims to identify and interpret slang messages used in daily conversations, especially those used among young people, and create material content on the social media platform 'Bahasa Gaul-Bahasa Indonesia.' Instagram is the social media platform used to include the material content of the slang findings from this research. So, the results of the research can be used as a medium for speakers to learn Indonesian, especially the language of daily communication, with the selection of appropriate diction so that communication becomes more efficient and effective. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a case study approach. The data collection technique used was the document technique. The data is in the form of recordings of the slang vocabulary used by Palembang speakers. The observed utterances were taken randomly for 30 minutes, either in situations in the canteen, in class, with relatives, or in the researcher's neighborhood. The number of utterances obtained was 107 utterances, with 40 speakers. The data analysis technique uses semiotic techniques with a pragmatic approach. The findings in this study are 100 slang words used in Palembang Sari-Sari conversations by Palembang speakers who are the subjects of this study. Then, the results of the findings and analysis are used as content on the Instagram platform of Bahasa Gaul-Bahasa Palembang-Bahasa Indonesia (BBG-Belajar Bahasa Gaul), with the Instagram name @belajar_bahasa_gaul.

Abstract

The research aimed to explore the forms of language politeness principles for parents and young children in the family environment and to describe how parents instill politeness in early childhood in the family environment. A research method is a qualitative case study. Researchers used observation, note-taking, and recording techniques in data collection. Data Analysis was carried out chronologically and categorically. The findings of this research were six forms of politeness principles, namely the maxim of tact, generosity, acceptance, humility, agreement, and sympathy from various interactions. Based on the findings of politeness maxims, it is necessary to apply politeness patterns to children in the family. It is to foster children's language behavior under the expectations and upbringing of parents because language behavior in the family influences their language behavior.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the types and functions of speech acts in BIPA (Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers) teaching materials which can have implications for language learning for foreign speakers. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The source of this research data is dialogue in Practical BIPA teaching materials by the Ministry of Education and Culture.Data collection techniques using document techniques. Data analysis techniques in this study used the Spradley model analysis techniques, through 4 stages, namely, domain analysis, taxonomy, componential, and cultural theme analysis. The findings in this study indicate that there are 5 types of illocutionary speech acts, namely assertive, directive, commissive, expressive, and declarative. These findings can have implications for language learning for foreign speakers, especially BIPA learning. Understanding illocutionary speech acts can help foreign speakers to develop communicative abilities of foreign speakers. Insight into knowledge of illocutionary speech acts can help foreign speakers understand cultural norms related to the use of the target language. Speech act studies can also improve the ability to understand and use language in appropriate social contexts. Insight into illocutionary speech acts also helps foreign speakers to be more careful of errors or misunderstandings in communication. Can be used as material for foreign speakers in negotiating, convincing, and influencing others when communicating.
