Abstract

Jigsaw is a simple cooperative teaching strategy that can make students interested in learning activities. This study investigated tenth-grade students' perceptions of the jigsaw strategy as a teaching and learning approach at MA Al Hikmah 1 Brebes. Mixed method which including both quantitative and qualitative design were applied in this current research. Quantitative data were collected through questionnaires administered to 75 students, followed by qualitative data through interviews. Findings revealed that students generally held positive views of the jigsaw strategy, perceiving it as an effective tool for improving comprehension, fostering collaboration, and enhancing active learning. However, challenges related to implementation, such as time constraints and teacher preparation, were identified. The conclusion of this study is that the Jigsaw strategy can be an effective alternative to improve student motivation and learning outcomes in learning English.

Abstract

This study analyzes the learning discipline of students in SMKN 1 Gerung and SMKN 2 Gerung, analyzes PAI learning related to the learning discipline of students in SMKN 1 Gerung and SMKN 2 Gerung, and provides teachers with the tools to improve students' discipline. The purpose is to analyze the efforts of her studying PAI in SMKN 1 Gerung and SMKN 2 Gerung. A qualitative approach is used in this study. The result of this study is the study discipline of XI students. Although the SMKN 1 Gerung and SMKN 2 Gerung classes are very good at PAI learning, some still commit violations related to study discipline. Student discipline can be viewed from her four aspects: discipline of time, discipline of learning, discipline of attitude, and discipline of worship. From the perspective of student learning discipline, PAI learning remains suboptimal. Various forms of indiscipline still exist among 11th graders, such as arriving late to class, not doing their homework, and not paying attention to their studies. Her PAI teacher's efforts to improve students' learning discipline in SMKN 1 Gerung and her SMKN 2 Gerung encourage students to do good things starting with prayer activities in the prayer room, such as performing dhuha prayers in the community. It is important to emphasize this and get used to it. Read the short surah and surah Waqiah, be polite, and pay attention to the cleanliness of your place of worship.   Keywords: Effort, Discipline, Islamic Education

Abstract

The entrepreneurship-based Islamic boarding school at Nurul Haramain began with the arrival of Tuan Guru Juaini Mukhtar to the Narmada area and the teachers' anxiety about the needs of their students. These two things have continued to develop since their inception until now and are even imitated by many Islamic boarding schools. This research aims to describe Tuan Guru Hasanain Juaini's thoughts, especially on entrepreneurship-based Islamic boarding school development. The method used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques used interviews, observation, and documentation which were carried out for 2 months starting from May-June 2023. The research results revealed that the concept of entrepreneurship according to Tuan Guru Hasanain Juaini is a mandatory knowledge a person must have. Tuan Guru Hasanain's thoughts in developing Nurul Islamic Boarding School Haramain are based on entrepreneurship and trading by Islamic law which prioritizes hard work, honesty, discipline, open-mindedness, and simple living. Meanwhile, the implementation of Tuan Guru Hasanain's entrepreneurial thinking can be seen in the birth of businesses and business units at Nurul Pesantren Haramain including a mini bank, laundry, Haramain restaurant, bakery, Haramain Mart, livestock, sports, heavy equipment rental and others. As for the contribution of Tuan Guru Hasanain's thoughts in developing Nurul Pesantren Haramain, it could be said that the majority of those in the Islamic boarding school are the contribution of Tuan Guru Hasanain's thoughts from the smallest to the largest. Starting from losing small amounts of student money, and teachers' vehicle loans to building networks with the government, investors, and entrepreneurs. This thesis also concludes that in developing an entrepreneurship-based Islamic boarding school, it must start from a movement, whether it is successful or not, the most important thing is to start it first. When applied, Islamic Sharia in business can be a solution when there is a deadlock in various situations and conditions.   Keywords: Entrepreneurship, Thoughts of Tuan Guru Hasanain, Islamic Boarding School.

Abstract

This research aims to understand the urgency of openness in communication, as well as its impact on family harmony. The research method used is a literature review by referring to two main sources of research, namely primary and secondary data sources. Primary data sources Refer to scientific articles, research results, documents, and books related to the research topic. Meanwhile, secondary data sources include reports, archives, and documentation that complement research results. Based on the research conducted, the results shown are that openness helps smooth communication and also increases the level of family harmony. Apart from that, this research also mentions two family communication patterns that can be applied to increase family harmony, namely pluralistic and interpersonal communication patterns.

Abstract

Pelatihan ecobrick di SDN 2 Sanggrahan Kebonagung Pacitan telah terlaksana dengan baik dan menghasilkan output berupa meja dan kursi berbahan sampah plastik non organik. Antusiasme peserta pelatihan terlihat jelas, tatkala mereka tengah menikmati semua proses pelatihan dan nampak sedih ketika jam pembelajaran telah berakhir. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini ada tiga, yakni: (1) untuk mengedukasi warga sekolah, khususnya peserta didik akan pentingnya kepedulian lingkungan di sekolah; (2) untuk melatih dan membiasakan peserta didik dalam memilah-milah sampah organik dan non organik; (3) untuk melatih kecakapan peserta didik dalam membuat ecobrick berbahan limbah plastik. Pelaksanaan pelatihan Ecobrick di SDN 2 Sanggrahan Kebonagung Pacitan  ini menggunakan empat tahapan, yakni: (1) tahap koordinasi; (2) tahap sosialisasi; (3) tahap pelatihan; (4) tahap pendampingan. Adapun objek pelatihan pembuatan ecobrick adalah keseluruhan peserta didik SDN 2 Sanggrahan.  Pelatihan pembuatan ecobrick di SDN 2 Sanggrahan yang memanfaatkan limbah sampah plastik telah terlaksana dengan baik. Para peserta didik mulai mengetahui dan memahami betapa pentingnya menjaga lingkungan sekolah. Indikatornya, pengumpulan sampah plastik peserta didik dari pekan ke pekan selalu naik secara signifikan. Selain itu, peserta didik telah mampu dan dapat mempraktikkan pembuatan ecobrik secara baik dan benar. Produk yang dihasilkan pelatihan ini berupa meja dan kursi ecobrick yang siap digunakan dalam pembelajaran keseharian.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji praktik mahar di Desa Jeddung, Indonesia, di mana mahar telah beralih dari kewajiban agama menjadi alat stratifikasi sosial berbasis pendidikan dan status perempuan, bertentangan dengan prinsip kesederhanaan dan kesetaraan dalam Islam. Dengan pendekatan studi kasus kualitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen melibatkan 20 informan kunci. Hasil menunjukkan nilai mahar (2–24 gram emas) berkorelasi dengan tingkat pendidikan perempuan dan prestise keluarga, didorong tradisi lokal, tekanan modernisasi, dan simbol status. Proses konstruksi sosial eksternalisasi, objektivasi, dan internalisasi melegitimasi hierarki ini, mengaburkan norma Islam yang menekankan kemudahan (QS. An-Nur:32) dan keadilan. Meski mahar tetap menjadi hak mutlak perempuan, komodifikasinya berisiko meminggirkan kelompok berpendapatan rendah dan mendistorsi tujuan sakral pernikahan. Studi menyimpulkan perlunya harmoni tradisi lokal dengan maqashid syariah melalui dialog komunitas dan reinterpretasi keagamaan.

Abstract

Mathematics learning integrated with Islamic values is a strategic approach to shaping the character of students who are not only intellectually intelligent but also have noble character. This study aims to examine the impact of the integration of Islamic values in mathematics learning on student character formation. The method used is a literature study with a qualitative approach through the analysis of various relevant academic sources. The study results indicate that values such as honesty, responsibility, and piety can be effectively instilled through the integration of mathematics material with an Islamic context. This approach has been proven to support students' cognitive and spiritual development and is relevant to national education goals.

Abstract

Permasalahan kemamanan di perumahan saat ini memerlukan pengelolaan sistem yang terintegrasi antara seluruh warga, pihak keamanan dan aparatur desa. Kejahatan sering kali masuk ke permukiman warga di wilayah desa dalam bentuk pencurian atau perampokan yang menimbulkan korban dan tidak dapat diatasi dengan sistem keamanan tradisional. Kondisi ini disebabkan karena tidak adanya sistem komunikasi yang cepat dan efektif antar warga untuk segera berkumpul berbasis smartphone sehingga penanganan kejahatan menjadi terlambat. Berdasarkan permasalahan ini maka dikembangkan aplikasi komunikasi cerdas berbasis smartphone yang terhubung dengan pengeras suara secara real time untuk memberikan informasi masalah keamanan sehingga warga dapat segera berkumpul di lokasi. Pengabdian ini menggunakan dua tahapan yaitu tahap pelatihan pembuatan alat komunikasi cerdas dan pelatihan implementasi alat komunikasi cerdas berdasarkan lokasi ideal sehingga warga dengan mudah mendapatkan informasi. Hasil evaluasi menggunakan rank spearman berdasarkan pre-test dan post-test didapatkan kegiatan ini memiliki kolerasi terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan peserta terhadap fungsi dan cara membuat modul alat komunikasi cerdas yang terintegrasi dengan aplikasi smartphone dengan nilai korelasi 80%. Berdasarkan analsis bayes lokasi alat komunikasi cerdas diimplementasikan disalah satu rumah warga sehingga informasi keamanan dapat ditermia dengan cepat oleh seluruh warga desa dengan nilai alternatif 4,2

Abstract

Effective communication heavily relies on the correct use of grammar. This study explores the pivotal role of grammar in facilitating clear, accurate, and credible information exchange, as well as its impact on the communicator's professionalism. Employing a library research methodology, this review analyses existing academic materials to identify and synthesize effective strategies for improving grammar mastery in English communication. Findings indicate that explicit grammar instruction, contextualized and task-based learning, and the utilization of digital technology are highly effective methods. Furthermore, learner motivation and consistent teacher support are identified as crucial enabling factors. While acknowledging various pedagogical approaches, this research concludes that an integrated or "focused form" approach, combining explicit teaching with meaningful communicative tasks, is most effective for developing both accuracy and fluency. This study provides evidence-based insights into best practices for enhancing grammar proficiency, which ultimately strengthens overall communication skills, while also highlighting avenues for future research in diverse learning contexts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis komunikasi interpersonal antara pelatih dan pemain dalam mencapai prestasi yang maksimal di tim futsal Universitas Muhammadiyah Jember. Komunikasi interpersonal memiliki peranan penting dalam membangun hubungan yang kuat antara pelatih dan pemain, yang berdampak langsung terhadap performa dan sinergi tim. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan baa komunikasi interpersonal yang efektif antara pelatih dan pemain mencakup komunikasi verbal dan non-verbal yang disesuaikan dengan karakteristik masing-masing pemain. Penerapan teori FIRO (Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation) menjadi landasan penting dalam memahami kebutuhan dasar pemain, yaitu keterlibatan (inclusion), pengendalian (control), dan kasih sayang atau kedekatan emosional (affection). Hambatan komunikasi yang ditemukan dalam penelitian ini meliputi perbedaan karakter individu, keterbatasan waktu latihan, kurangnya empati, serta tidak meratanya pemberian umpan balik oleh pelatih. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa keberhasilan prestasi tim futsal tidak hanya ditentukan oleh aspek teknis semata, tetapi juga sangat bergantung pada kualitas hubungan komunikasi interpersonal yang terbangun antara pelatih dan pemain. Oleh karena itu, pelatih dituntut untuk memiliki kemampuan komunikasi yang fleksibel dan adaptif serta menciptakan lingkungan komunikasi yang terbuka dan mendukung.
