Abstract

The purpose of this study to analyze: 1) Application of a model of cooperative learning with index cards of math-based engineering of IT to improve students' critical thinking in class XI IPA at SMAN I Ngemplak Boyolali, 2) Application of a model of cooperative learning with index cards of math-based engineering of IT to improve understanding of the value of history in class XI IPA at SMAN I Ngemplak Boyolali. This research is a class action (classroom action research). This research was conducted with three cycles, each cycle consisting of four phases, namely: 1) planning action, 2) the implementation of the action, 3) observation, 4) reflection. Each cycle carried out at a basic competency. Data was collected in three ways, namely: 1) observation, 2) test, 3) questionnaire. Of the implementation of the action taken obtained objective tests of critical thinking in the first cycle 46.67%, 73.3% in the second cycle, the third cycle of 83.33%. And for the acquisition of critical thinking questionnaire in the first cycle, 65.05%, 70.72% in the second cycle, the third cycle of 81.03%. The results of test scores understanding of history in pre-cycle value of 26.6%, pre-test in the first cycle of 30%, post-test on the first cycle 43.33%, pre-test on the second cycle 67.74%, post-test on the second cycle 74.19 %, pre-test on the third cycle 74.19%, post-test cycle III 100%, and a minimum of 75. The results obtained completeness of the data showed an increase in the quality of teaching history in grade XI-2 which includes students' critical thinking and understanding of historical value. Based on these results it can be concluded that the use of cooperative learning models with index cards of math-based engineering IT can improve students' critical thinking and understanding of the value of history in class XI IPA at SMAN I Ngemplak Boyolali.

Abstract

The aims of this study was to identify and analyze: (1) the planning of teaching history with a scientific approach to the 2013 curriculum at Madrasah AliyahNegeriKetapang in West Borneo; (2) explaining the implementation of the teaching history with a scientific approach to the 2013 curriculum at Madrasah AliyahNegeriketapang West Borneo; (3) how the evaluation of teaching history process with a scientific approach to the 2013 curriculum at Madrasah AliyahNegeriketapang West Borneo (4) describing the obstacles encountered in the teaching of history with a scientific approach to the 2013 curriculum at Madrasah AliyahNegeriketapang West Kalimantan.The result of this research showed (1) in lesson teaching plan, teacher made learingby scientific approach include observing, questioning, experimenting, associating, experimenting device independently to pass the liberation subject teacher’s; (2) the process of learning social studies by scientific include observing, questioning, experimenting, associating, experimenting and to support by three learning theory is learning theory Brunner, learning theory Piaget and learning theory Vygotsky. Learning modelProblem Based Learning (PBL)islearning model relation with scientific approach, make use of is Problem Based Learning (PBL)and get positive influence from teacher and student’s, so that to impact positive towards learning student center; (3) technique the assessment learning social studies by scientific is test and non test, aspect cognitive value with tes, aspectaffectiveandaspect psychomotor value with observation and relation with scientific approach KI-1 assessment (religius) value to overload is observation, KI-2 assessment (social) value to overload is observation, KI-3 (cognitive) value to overload is test and KI-4 (skill) value to overload is test and observation. Technique of assessment test and non test;(4) the efforts to overcome obstacles skill value to overload is observation and test to perform, the teacher cannot maximal together and comprehension minim teacher in scientific approach, cannot to fit between syllabi with student book.

Abstract

This research aim to find: (1) the analyze how conditions of teaching materials history; (2).the described of the development local history of teaching materials based on values of The Embroidery Kerawang Gayo to improve nation character of the students, and (3) the description of the effectiveness local history of teaching materials based on values The Embroidery Kerawang Gayo in improving the nation character students.Research method development (Research and Development / R&D) of borg and gall was used in this research to produce teaching materials. Stage methods are: (1) the preliminary stage of the study, namely the study of literature, field studies, needs and findings of teaching materials; (2) the developmental stage, includes: design prototypes, validation expert’ s judgement, the trial and the revision of one-on-one, and piloting broad; (3) And the test of  the  effectiveness stage, includes: test the effectiveness and appropriation teaching materials local history. The results obtained: (1) the teaching materials referring to KTSP, focused on one text book without any partners and also the development of teaching materials, regarding school facilities in the history of teaching materials are not enough, less of giving materials about character education, and teachers are too pursue time to resolve the matter, so that needs of teaching materials with an emphasis on the  nation character; (2) teaching materials local history is based on six components determined, the syllabus and lesson plans, validation of three experts give the value of the average score category 5 with very good, one by one the trial conducted in 5 students and 13 students with the value of the average score 4.4 with the category of very good, the revision of which are only the format of the writing, the results of the trial wide showed that there are differences in between average value of the experiment more increase than both control group of achievement and the attitude of the nation character; and (3) the application of teaching materials local history based on values kerawang gayo embroidery in order to increase nation character has proved effective, proven by  the value of post group test on control and the experiment group, to yield achievement of 0.005 < 0.025 and attitude nation character of 0.005 < 0.025 by this  Ho rejected so there is a difference of positive and significant.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan (1) hubungan pemahaman Museum Aceh dengan hasil belajar sejarah pada siswa  SMAN di Kecamatan Kuta Alam; (2) hubungan  kesadaran sejarah dengan hasil belajar sejarah  pada siswa  SMAN di Kecamatan Kuta Alam; dan (3) hubungan antara pemahaman Museum Aceh dan kesadaran sejarah secara bersama-sama dengan hasil belajar sejarah pada siswa  SMAN di Kecamatan Kuta Alam.            Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian ex-post facto dengan desain penelitian korelasional. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa  SMAN di Kecamatan Kuta Alam yang terdiri atas dua sekolah yaitu SMAN 8 Banda Aceh dan SMAN 12 Banda Aceh berjumlah 100 siswa kelas XI IPS.  Ukuran sampel penelitian berjumlah 78 siswa. Ukuran sampel ditentukan berdasarkan Tabel Issac dan Michael. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode tes dan angket. Tes digunakan untuk mengukur variabel pemahaman Museum Aceh dan hasil belajar  sejarah sedangkan angket digunakan untuk mengukur variabel kesadaran sejarah. Uji coba instrumen tes dilakukan untuk tingkat kesukaran, daya pembeda dan reliabilitas. Uji coba kuesioner untuk mengetahui uji validitas butirdan reliabilitas. Uji prasyarat analisis meliputi uji normalitas, uji multikolinieritas, uji linieritas. Teknis analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis korelasi, regresi sederhana dan regresi ganda.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara pemahaman Museum Aceh (X1) dengan hasil  belajar sejarah (Y) dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,250 dan nilai 𝞡 value (0,027< 0,05). (2) terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara kesadaran sejarah (X2) dengan hasil belajar sejarah (Y) dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,234 dan nilai 𝞡 value (0,039 <  0,05). (3) terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan secara bersama pemahaman Museum Aceh (X1) dan kesadaran sejarah (X2) dengan hasil belajar sejarah (Y) dengan koefisien korelasi ganda sebesar 0,317 dan nilai 𝞡 value (0,019 <0,05).

Abstract

This article examines the relevance of historical learning by transforming the local value of the tanggomo to the awakening of local identity in Gorontalo. In its development., tanggomo is not only known as folklore or oral literature, but is also one of the objects of struggle for a locality and the beginning of the growth of nationalism. In its implementation, history learning must pay great attention to the growth of national identity and identity, both in the Indonesian and local realms, so that local history studies need to be used, in addition to improving the quality of history learning, as well as an effort to introduce regional wisdom. The writing in this article uses the literature study method by involving empirical and relevant literature sources.

Abstract

The study aims to explain the dynamics of the political life of NU pesantren ulama (clerics) in the Former Karesidenan Surakarta during the New Order era (1971-1997). The New Order regime attempted to maintain power and created political stability tends to use a repressive approach. One of the social groups that gained political pressure from the New Order regime was the NU pesantren ulama. The New Order Government assessed them as an interested social group seeking to uphold Islamic law and anti-government policy. NU pesantren ulama had experienced political pressure in the various situation in the Former Karesidenan Surakarta. It started from the regulations (Permen No. 12 the Year 1969 and PP No.6 the Year 1970) to the act of political intimidation ahead of the New Order election. From 1971 to the 1997 election, the New Order Regime tried to marginalize the NU Pesantren Ulama’s political role at the grassroots level. The New Order’s repressive policies made NU pesantren ulama in former Karesidenan Surakarta did some acts of experimentation to save the NU Organization and their NU pesantren survival. One of their activities is through the Khittah NU 1984, which provided personal freedom for NU pesantren ulama to choose their political affiliation. The conclusion of this paper shows that the New Order Government is an anti-political party regime that is ruling with an authoritarian approach.Tulisan ini menjelaskan dinamika kehidupan politik ulama pesantren NU di wilayah eks-Keresidenan Surakarta pada masa rezim Orde Baru tahun 1971-1997. Rezim Orde Baru dalam upaya mempertahankan kekuasaan dan menciptakan stabilitas politik cenderung menggunakan pendekatan represif. Salah satu kelompok masyarakat yang mendapatkan tekanan politik dari rezim Orde Baru adalah ulama pesantren NU. Mereka dinilai Pemerintah Orde Baru sebagai kelompok sosial yang berusaha menegakkan hukum Islam dan anti kebijakan pemerintah. Tekanan politik dalam berbagai situasi telah dialami ulama pesantren NU di wilayah eks-Keresidenan Surakarta. Mulai dari regulasi (Permen No. 12 Tahun 1969 dan PP No.6 Tahun 1970) hingga tindakan intimidasi politik menjelang pemilu-pemilu Orde Baru. Dari Pemilu 1971 sampai Pemilu 1997, rezim Orde Baru berusaha memarjinalkan peran politik ulama pesantren NU di akar rumput. Kebijakan represif Orde Baru ini membuat ulama pesantren NU di wilayah eks-Keresidenan Surakarta sering kali bereksperimentasi politik guna menyelamatkan organisasi NU dan kelangsungan hidup pesantrennya. Salah satunya melalui Khittah NU tahun 1984 yang memberikan kebebasan personal ulama pesantren NU dalam menentukan afiliasi politiknya. Kesimpulan tulisan ini menunjukkan usaha depolitisasi terhadap ulama pesantren NU memperkuat fakta bahwa Pemerintah Orde Baru merupakan rezim anti partai politik yang berkuasa dengan pendekatan otoriter.

Abstract

Being a ronggeng dancer constitutes a turning point in a life to be at an upper level of humanity. It is similar to Superman who needs a special stone to be in his superiority, and other heroes with their specialties. A ronggeng, a Javanese traditional dancer, should be gifted with an indang spirit believed to be the dancer maker. For Srintil case, in Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk novel, she is at a much higher level compared to the others. She is the last to live in the shift of the culture. This study aimed to reveal Srintil’s superhero characteristics and what destroyed her heroism. It is a qualitative study using the heroism concept. The techniques of collecting the data were reading, note-taking, and documenting in the form of narration and dialogue taken from the novel in accordance with the research problem. The finding showed there are four criteria that made Srintil a superhero for Dukuh Paruk’s people: how she obtained a superpower; her journey to be a ronggeng; her willingness to help others; and how she sacrifices her life. However, there were men of the super culture who destroyed Srintil heroism. The indang had also prevented her from realizing her dreams, including having a true lover and having a family. Furthermore, it only left her with miseries by ended up in prison and insanity.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat kebutuhan peserta didik di Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) terhadap bahan ajar sejarah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan berpedoman pada desain instruksional 4D (define, design, develop, and dissemination). Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA kelas X IPS peminatan. Berdasarkan hasil observasi, wawancara, dan penyebaran kuisioner, buku paket sejarah telah digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran dan terbukti berhasil membantu peserta didik dalam mencari informasi. Namun, di sisi lain terdapat beberapa permasalahan yang muncul dari penggunaan buku paket seperti materi yang disajikan masih umum, hanya berfokus pada aspek kognitif, kurang mendetail, dan belum menyajikan kegiatan belajar aktif bagi peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan analisis kebutuhan peserta didik, kurikulum, dan kondisi kelas guna menemukan solusi dalam bentuk pengembangan produk pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, (1) terdapat permasalahan dalam penggunaan buku paket sejarah sebagai sumber utama, (2) peserta didik membutuhkan bahan ajar pengayaan yang mengintegrasikan sejarah lokal, (3) penggunaan model project-based learning dapat menjadi alternatif strategi untuk pembelajaran aktif, dan (4) sejarah gemblak dapat dijadikan sebagai studi kasus penelitian dengan beberapa pertimbangan

Abstract

Media is a tool to construct meaning to its readers. News that is released to the public is always related to the ideology and interests of the media in responding a problem. This research intends to see a representation of Pesarean of Mount Kawi which is conducted by local, regional, and national mass media in Indonesia. This research is a qualitative research with content analysis method. This study is going to be focused on the value embedded in texts which contain news about pesarean of Mount Kawi. This approach is very useful to figure out meaning that lies behind the news texts of pesarean of Mount Kawi. The result of the research shows that mass media supports the commodification process of pesarean of Mount Kawi. Through the narration of origin, genealogy, and heroism which are based on Indonesia's national historical event became one of the strategies that are used to demolish the representation of Mount Kawi as a haunted and taboo place to be visited by society. There is a similarity of vision in changing the representation of pesarean of Mount Kawi. Modernity and advancement of reasons have been the reasons for discarding cultural values and traditions that have developed within the culture of Javanese society for centuries by adapting them to the contexts of modern human life today.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the strategies and the effectiveness of history module based on problems in increasing the solidarity of Senior High School Students. The efforts to improve the social solidarity of Senior High School Students were done to minimalize the problems which occurred in the school environment and to find the conflict resolution on multicultural society. To achieve the objectives, this research used combination methods of qualitative and quantitative which refer to the design of exploratory sequential mixed methods. The result of the research shows that students could understand the material and solve the problems structurally through history module based on problems. The problems arranged in the module are contemporary and associated with inter-ethnic conflict in the students’ environment while the material on the module is local history. The students’ understanding towards the material and the ability relating to the contemporary problem can improve the social solidarity. Based on the statistic data analysis, the history module based on problems is effective to improve the social society.
