Â The study aimed at measuring the effect of translanguaging approach in teaching Arabic reading comprehension to the second semester students of Indonesian Education Department, Universitas Iqra Buru. 64 students involved as the participants through simple random sampling technique. 32 students participated in each of the experimental and control group. The researchers used reading test of written test to obtain information about the studentsâ€™ achievemnt in reading on the use of translanguaging approach and it was distributed to the respondents after the last treatment given. To find out the mean score, standard deviation and the t-test value between the pretest and the posttest the researchers used the SPSS 17 program. The researchers found that the use of translanguaging approach in learning Arabic reading comprehension improves the studentsâ€™ ability of Arabic reading comprehension is better than the conventional method.

In reality, not a few teachers who have been certified as educators are less competent in teaching the field of study. Many teachers are also able to master the subject matter, but they have difficult to present the material. This research applied a qualitative method using a case study design. It was carried out in the State Madrasah schools of Salahutu District, Central Maluku Regency. This research was conducted from August to 02 November 2017. The subjects of this study were 3 Arabic teachers, two principals and 6 class students totaling 12 informants. Based on the results, it was found that the pedagogic competence of Arabic language teachers was still relatively low due to the several indicators that were not implemented during the learning process. The personalityâ€™s competence of Arabic language teachers is relatively good compared to their pedagogical competence. The lacks of training, facilities, and rewards have caused the low educational competence of teachers. Their personal competence is due to strict supervision and their commitment to building the ummah as followers of religion and not because of their profession as teachers. Students are motivated to learn Arabic due to the motivation is given by the teacher, the mu'amalah is good between teachers and students, and there is a continuous and rigorous evaluation.

Facebook is a social media that is very popular with students in Indonesia. Thus, this study attempted to examine the increased of studentsâ€™ Arabic acquisition through Facebook group learning. This research was quantitative research using quasi-experimental design. The sample of this study consists of two classes from the students of the Arabic language education department at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim. The instrument of this research was writing test. The results of this study indicated an increase of studentsâ€™ Arabic acquisition so the researchers concluded that Facebook groups can improve the studentsâ€™ ability to write in Arabic.

The development of technology can be used as a means of supporting learning. Like learning based on digital products for students.Â The study aimed at describing and analyzing the implementation of learning Arabic Writing Skill (Maharah Kitabah) based on digital products, namely the creation and publication of journal articles and its effects on the learning process. This research was conducted on 22 students writing skills class (Maharah Kitabah) 3, 5th of the semester. The method in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques are, 1) observation of learning writing skills (Maharah Kitabah) III, 2) interviews with lecturers and students writing skills classes (Maharah Kitabah) III about the implementation of Arabic Writing Skill (Maharah Kitabah)based on digital product and the impact, and 3) documentation of learning data and works student digital products. Maharah Kitabah learning based on digital products in the form of writing scientific articles online by utilizing references and references of digital managers has a good impact for the students who took part in the Maharah Kitabah learning process with this model, all students were able to make Arabic journal articles using Mendeley and Turnitin citations, and students were able to publish Arabic journal articles to national e-journals.

The present study attempted to investigate and measure the performances of multilingual and mono-multilingual students of the pesantren modern IMMIM in Makassar. This study employed the mixed-method approach where the 30 students of the Junior High School were selected randomly and participated as the subject of the research. The qualitative data gained through the interview and observation of the studentsâ€™ behavior in English speaking and the quantitative data obtained through the speaking test. The results show that the multilingual students tend to behave extrovert and ambivert behavior in English speaking while the mono-multilingual students behave introvert. It was strengthened by the speaking test achievement which shows that the multilingual students have the high score in terms of the fluency and comprehensibility while the mono-multilingual students have the high score regarding the accuracy, especially in grammar

This study aimed at determining whether or not the knowledge, educational level, perception, and attitude of the pesantren students affect the implementation of the multilingual simultaneous-sequential model (MSSM). This research employed quantitative research using a survey design. The sample of the study consisted of 100 students of three pesantren schools in the city of Makassar (Pesantren Modern IMMIM, Pondok Madinah, and Pesantren Darul Arqam Muhammadiyah Gombara). The data were collected through the questionnaire and be analyzed descriptively and inferentially using SPSS program. The results found that the knowledge, level of education, perception, and attitude of pesantren students collectively had a positive impact on the MSSM. However, these perceptions have no significant effect on the MSSM implementation partially. The results of this study contributed to developing further multilingual teaching and learning material such as syllabus, lesson plan, and course book for pesantren students in Indonesia, especially in Makassar.

The use of the cap "Songkok Recca" is believed to have begun in the reign of the 31st Bone King named Andi Mappanyukki. The "Songkok Recca" hat used can show the social strata of the wearer. This study aims to look at public perceptions in the use of these hats associated with the social stratification of the Bugis community in Bone Regency. The study was conducted in Awangpone District, Bone Regency, South Sulawesi Province, using a qualitative approach, with a purposive sampling technique in determining informants. The method of collecting data using observation and interviews, with the number of informant’s as many as ten people. Data analysis techniques in this study are qualitative data analysis techniques. The results show that there a shift in the use of "Songkok Recca" hats today. In terms of social stratification, the use of the hat "Songkok Recca" no longer shows the degree of someone, but nowadays it is more described as a form of local wisdom of the Bugis community in Bone Regency.

AbstractThis research attempts to explore the implementation of blended learning in teaching the course of ‘Qawaid al-Imla 1’ and the perceptions of teachers and students towards the blended learning application at UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. It applied a grounded theory design using the observation and interview to collect the data. The data gained were analyzed using Strauss & Corbin model, they are, open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. The results found that application of blended learning helped the lecturers in planning and presenting the material as well as the evaluating the students’ learning progress. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini, yakni memberikan pelatihan komunikasi pemasaran terpadu berbasis online kepada para pelaku usaha minyak kayu puith di Desa Sawa. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah berupa pelatihan berbasis teori dan praktik komunikasi pemasaran terpadu berbasis online dengan tiga tahap, yakni tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan, dan tahap evaluasi. Sasaran pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini, yaitu para pelaku usaha minyak kayu putih Desa Sawa, Kecamatan Lilialy, Kabupaten Buru. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah para pelaku usaha mendapatkan pengetahuan melalui pelatihan dengan menekankan materi yang berbasis teori dan praktik mengenai pengenalan internet, Penerapan Teknologi Website & Ekonomi Digital, Website e-Business dan e-Commerce, e-Marketing, dan komunikasi pemasaran. Dari hasil pelatihan tersebut, para pelaku usaha minyak kayu puith Desa Sawa dapat mempraktekkan pemasaran secara online melalui website, facebook, dan instagram

Mahad Sunan Ampel Al Aly (MSAA) is an Islamic educational institution under the auspices of the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. All new students are required to live in the dormitory (Mahad) for one year with the aim of creating a conducive atmosphere in the development of education, forming the character of polite students through religious activities, as well as improving language skills (Arabic and English) through linguistic activities. Musyrif (male counselor) and Musrifah (female counselor) has an essential role in achieving that goal. They are educators or tutors in scientific activities.To improve the competence of the Musrif and Musrifah in teaching, the pre-learning programs are held every once a week on weekends. This study aims to explore the model of tutor’s pre-teaching to enrich the programs of language learning activities at MSAA. The research method used is the case study method using observation and interview techniques. The results showed that the pre-learning program provided the ability of Musrif and Musrifah to organize the time appropriately, mastered sufficient material to be conveyed to new students, gained knowledge about variations and language learning games, and motivated techniques.
