Abstract

Database merupakan pusat data bagi sebuah sistem informasi, telah banyak aplikasi sistem database yang beredar baik yang berbayar maupun yang gratis. PostgreSQL merupakan salah satu sistem database yang gratis dan memiliki fitur fitur yang handal, salah satu fitur yang membedakan PostgreSQL dengan sistem basisdata yang lainnya adalah adanya fitur pembuatan Function, dimana pengguna dapat mendefinisikan sendiri Function-nya dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman tertentu, yang kemudian dapat dipanggil kembali untuk dieksekusi. Pada peneletian ini penulis mencoba melakukan pengujian penambahan data dengan menggunakan perintah INSERT dan perintah External Function yang dibuat sendiri pada terminal/command prompt dan web browser. Dari hasi uji coba yang dilakukan, dihasilkan rata rata waktu proses penambahan data pada terminal/command prompt dengan menggunakan perintah INSERT adalah 185.293 ms dan rata rata waktu proses external function adalah 129.52 ms, sedangkan rata rata waktu proses penambahan data pada web browser dengan menggunakan perintah INSERT adalah 168,363 ms dan external function adalah 145,64 ms . Kedua perintah tersebut terdapat perbedaan dalam penulisan perintah, namun external function merupakan perintah yang didefinisikan secara mandiri oleh pengguna hal ini memungkinkan pengguna untuk menentukan bentuk perintah sesuai yang diinginkan pengguna.

Abstract

Abstract. Information Management System of Cokroaminoto Palopo University (SIMUNCP) is a web application implemented on a Local Area Network (LAN). SIMUNCP uses MySQL as its database. The data is moved from the old database as a source to postgreeSQL as a target by migration. The migration is done because of lack of features on the old database that uses MySQL could not meet the needs of the organization. Before the migration, the first process is performed to evaluate the existing errors in the old database and the evaluation results are then used as a reference to design the new database. After the data migration is done the next process is measuring the quality of data on the new database. The quality of the data measured is an aspect of accuracy and nonduplicate aspect. Once that is done the next is to do is optimizing the query, Optimized query is a query that exists in the source code of application SIMUNCP.Keywords: Migration, Database, Optimization Abstrak. Sistem Informasi Manajemen Univeritas Cokroaminoto Palopo (SIMUNCP) merupakan aplikasi web yang diimplementasikan pada jaringan Local Area Network (LAN). SIMUNCP menggunakan MySQL sebagai basis datanya. Migrasi dilakukan dengan memindahkan data dari basis data lama yang menjadi sumber ke basis data postgreSQL sebagai basis data baru menjadi, hal ini dikarenakan minimnya fitur pada basis data lama yang menggunakan MySQL sehingga tidak mampu memenuhi kebutuhan organisasi. Sebelum dilakukan migrasi, yang dilakukan adalah mengevaluasi kesalahankesalahan yang ada pada basis data lama dan hasil evaluasi tersebut kemudian dijadikan acuan untuk merancang basis data baru. setelah migrasi data dilakukan selanjutnya adalah melakukan pengukuran kualitas data pada basis data baru, kualitas data yang diukur adalah aspek akurasi dan aspek nonduplikat, setelah itu dilakukan optimasi query, dimana query-query yang dioptimasi adalah query-query yang ada pada source code aplikasi SIMUNCP. Kata Kunci: Migrasi, Basis data, Optimalisasi.

Abstract

The reporting process at the Agricultural Extension Center takes quite a long time due to the distance from each village, where getting report data to the office to collect reports is quite far, and the media for collecting reports are still conventional. From these problems, the researcher aims to create a planting area reporting information system and a harvest-based website that can assist in collecting, processing, storing, and presenting data reports and assist extension coordinators in making decisions and planning. This study uses qualitative research, data collection methods of observation, interviews, and literature. The system design method uses a waterfall. System testing uses the Black Box, and system feasibility testing uses the System Usability Scale (SUS) method. The results of the study are in the form of a website application where from the results of the system feasibility test, an average value of 80.1 is obtained; on the grade scale assessment, they get a grade "B," and on the adjective rating they get a "Good" rating which indicates that respondents accept and agree with the existence of an information system. Abstract

Data collecting and mapping of criminal data have been carried out for a long time by recording criminal acts on paper (books). Otherwise, collecting data uses office applications, while mapping is done by marking on the map. The goal is to find out the highest crime rate in an area. The mapping results are a reference for the authorities to improve surveillance and education in areas with high crime rates. This method has many drawbacks, including the possibility of data being overwritten. System testing uses black box testing, while feasibility Testing uses the User Accepted Test (UAT) method. User Accepted Test testing is done by asking respondents to use the system and then giving responses to the questions given. Ten questions were asked with an assessment score using a Likert scale. After that, search for the percent value for each question to get the average score. The average score is the final result of the User Accepted Test. The results of this study are an average score of 89.88%. Based on the User Accepted Test score criteria, the average respondent strongly agrees with the developed application.

Abstract

The delivery process of laboratory usage information in the Information Systems Study Program at the Faculty of Science and Technology, UIN Alauddin Makassar, has not yet been computerized. The frequent changes in practicum schedules or laboratory usage have caused confusion among students in finding the appropriate laboratory for their practical activities. Additionally, the lack of a definite schedule makes it challenging for both students and lecturers to find available laboratories. This research aims to design and develop an application for laboratory usage information in the Information Systems Study Program at the Faculty of Science and Technology, UIN Alauddin Makassar. The application is expected to facilitate users in accessing information about laboratory availability and dynamically present the information according to their needs. After conducting user acceptance tests, where users were involved in providing questionnaires to evaluate the developed application, the results showed a usability percentage of 85% based on varying user perceptions. This indicates that the application performs excellently in providing services to its users.

Abstract

Dinas Perindustrian dan Perdagangan Kota Makassar memiliki tanggung jawab utama dalam mengelola sektor industri dan perdagangan, sekaligus mendukung otonomi daerah melalui partisipasi Kelompok Wirausaha Bersama (KWB). Dalam upayanya memberikan dukungan kepada KWB, Dinas ini menyediakan bantuan melalui pengadaan barang, fasilitas usaha, dan pelatihan yang sesuai dengan jenis usaha yang dijalankan oleh kelompok tersebut. Meskipun demikian, penentuan penerima bantuan sering kali terpengaruh oleh subjektivitas, potensi diskriminasi, dan kurangnya transparansi. Untuk mengatasi kendala tersebut, Dinas Perindustrian dan Perdagangan menggunakan metode Multi-Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT). MAUT berfungsi sebagai alat yang mengukur preferensi penerima bantuan berdasarkan atribut yang relevan dengan tujuan yang ditetapkan. Dengan penerapan MAUT, proses penilaian penerima bantuan menjadi lebih transparan, efisien, dan akurat. Hal ini memungkinkan pertimbangan yang lebih objektif dari semua pihak yang terlibat, sehingga keputusan yang diambil dapat menjadi lebih baik dan efektif dalam mendukung perkembangan KWB secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The research aims to evaluate the capacity of Amazon Web Service's (AWS) Elastic Cloud Compute (EC2) Free Tier Web Server using the JMeter testing tool. The objective is to ascertain the extent of the server's load-bearing capabilities. Tests were conducted, loading 500 users within a 10-second range and 1000 users within a 1-second range. Despite being a free service, test results showed the server's capability to handle high loads without errors (0% error rate). These findings illustrate the free service's ability to maintain stable performance under significant user loads. The utilization of EC2 Free Tier on AWS demonstrates its capacity to handle heavy tasks without compromising service quality. From about 5 steps in each of two tests, the value for sample time / response time in the initial test of the Amazon Web Service Web server is 59 / ms (millisecond) and the average latency value in the second test, namely 7.213 /ms (millisecond). Both of these gained CPU Utilization from minum, average and maximum with final rate are zero Error. This outcome concludes that the free server possesses robust and reliable capabilities, instilling confidence in an effective and efficient server solution even under high usage levels without additional costs.

Abstract

Purpose: This research systematically evaluates the quality of the web-based marketing and ordering information systems at UD. Percetakan Citra Satria by focusing on the aspects of usability and correctness, aiming to determine the effectiveness of the system in meeting user needs. Methods/Study design/approach: Data collection was conducted through observation and questionnaires. The observation aimed to identify issues during the use of the marketing and ordering information systems at UD. Percetakan Citra Satria, while the questionnaire, using a Likert scale, involved 8 employees and 70 customers to assess usability and correctness. The system was implemented and tested by allowing users to interact with it, with evaluations analyzed using the McCall model. The testing focused on usability, reflecting ease of use, and correctness, ensuring information accuracy, both critical for enhancing user experience and operational effectiveness. Result/Findings: The test results indicate that the overall quality of the web-based marketing and ordering information systems at UD. Citra Satria Printing achieved a score of 85% for the usability aspect and 85.3% for correctness. These scores are classified as very good according to the quality factor percentage scale. Novelty/Originality/Value: This study introduces novelty in applying quality testing for a web-based marketing and ordering information systems using the McCall method, focusing on two main aspects: usability and correctness. The novelty lies in its specific application context, namely in the printing industry (UD. Percetakan Citra Satria), as well as the use of questionnaires to directly incorporate the perspectives of employees and customers.

Abstract

This study explores the key issue of ineffective integration between science and technology studies and religious values at Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Alauddin Makassar, with a focus on the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST). Although there have been efforts to integrate these fields, inconsistencies and variations persist, particularly in how Qur'anic verses are used in scientific research. Often, these verses are added superficially without thorough analysis, compounded by students' challenges in manually finding relevant verses. To address this challenge, the study developed a digital platform aimed at easing the search and integration of religious verses within scientific and technological research. The approach included analyzing user needs, gathering relevant verse data, and testing the platform's effectiveness and user-friendliness. The findings indicate that the new platform significantly improves the integration of science and technology studies with religious values. Users, including students and researchers, found the platform to be an effective tool for accessing and incorporating Qur'anic verses into their research. As a result, this platform shows promise as a widely adoptable model for fostering a more robust and enduring integration in higher education across Indonesia.

Abstract

One indicator of the quality of an information system is the speed of data processing. A database's most common data processing operations are adding, displaying, changing, and deleting data. The amount of data stored in the database significantly impacts the performance of data processing and, therefore, the performance of information systems. The update command changes some or all of the data in a table. The update command works by retrieving the data in the table to be changed, entering the new data in a form, and then sending it back to the database. The update command is often combined with a condition specifying which data rows must be changed. This research is an experimental study that compares the use of the update command with a stored procedure to the use of the update command without a stored procedure. The results showed that the average processing time for the update command with the stored procedure was 348.896 milliseconds for the minimum data category, 266.462 milliseconds for the medium data category, and 279.543 milliseconds for the maximum data category. The average processing time for the update command without a stored procedure was 297.132 milliseconds for the minimum data category, 747.670 milliseconds for the medium data category, and 1256.273 milliseconds for the maximum data category. These results suggest that the update command with a stored procedure is more efficient than the one without a stored procedure. This is because the stored procedure can pre-compile the SQL statement, which reduces the time it takes to execute the statement.
