Abstract

ABSTRAK Penyakit kanker merupakan salah satu penyakit pembunuh utama di dunia. Di Indonesia, penyakit kanker masih merupakan masalah kesehatan serius karena angka morbiditas dan mortalitasnya yang tinggi. Angka kanker payudara di Indonesia mencapai 42,1 orang per 100 ribu penduduk disusul kanker leher rahim pada urutan kedua sebesar 23, 4 per 100.000 penduduk dengan rata-rata angka kematian 13,9 per 100.000 penduduk. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemapuan para siswi-siswi SMA Teruna Bakti di Jayapura Papua tentang kanker payudara dan mendeteksi dini kanker payudara dengan cara periksa payudara sendiri. Metode yang di lakukan adalah diawali dengan pre-test kepada peserta kemudian pemaparan materi pelatihan dan simulasi lalu dilakukan post-test. Data hasil dari pre-test dan post-test dianilisa dengan menggunakan uji Wilcoxon Signed Ranks test untuk mengetahui tingkat kemajuan pengetahuan peserta pelatihan. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah rata-rata gain ternormalisasi dari peserta pelatihan adalah 0,43 dengan gain ternormalisasi terrendah adalah 0,00 dan gain ternormalisasi tertinggi adalah 1,00 serta simpangan baku 0,25. Rata-rata gain ternormalisasi sebesar 0, 43 menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan pengetahuan peserta dari pre-test ke post-test termasuk dalam kategori peningkatan sedang. Kata Kunci: SADARI, Kanker Payudara, Pengetahuan, Penyuluhan.  ABSTRACT Cancer is one of the main killer diseases in the world. In Indonesia, cancer is still a serious health problem because of its high morbidity and mortality. The number of breast cancer in Indonesia reaches 42.1 people per 100 thousand population, followed by cervical cancer in second place at 23.4 per 100,000 population with an average mortality rate of 13.9 per 100,000 population. This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge and ability of Teruna Bakti High School students in Jayapura Papua about breast cancer and detect breast cancer early by breast self-examination (BSE). The method used is starting with a pre-test to the participants then presenting the training material and simulation and then doing a post-test. The data from the pre-test and post-test were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks test to determine the level of knowledge progress of the trainees. The results obtained are the average normalized gain of the trainees is 0.43 with the lowest normalized gain is 0.00 and the highest normalized gain is 1.00 and the standard deviation is 0.25. The average normalized gain of 0.43 indicates that the increase in participants' knowledge from pre-test to post-test is in the category of moderate improvement. Keywords: BSE, Breast Cancer, Knowledge, Counseling.

Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tentang implementasi model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Students Teams Achievement Division (STAD) pada materi geometri bidang datar. Studi ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan studi literature terhadap berbagai hasil penelitian dan buku-buku yang berhubungan dengan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) dan pengajaran matematika pada topik geometri bidang datar. Hasil studi menunjukan bahwa pembelajaran pada materi geometri bidang datar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Selain itu, pembelajaran dengan model kooperatif tipe STAD pada materi geometri bidang datar meningkatkan kreativitas guru dan siswa dalam mempelajari materi geometri bidang.

Abstract

Dalam Bahasa sentani sendiri wadah dari tanah liat ini disebut dengan istilah “Kenda”. Pembuatan kerajinan wadah dari tanah liat yang disebut dengan kenda ini sudah ada sejak dahulu, Kerajinan kenda atau biasa orang menyebutnya gerabah diperkenalkan oleh nenek moyang marga Felle dari suku Assatouw. Penetilian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi. Tujuan dari Penelitian ini adalah untuk melakukan eksplorasi dan pengkajian mengenai aktivitas etnomatematika, serta unsur-unsur matematika yang terhadap pada bentuk kenda kampung Abar Sentani. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri sebagai instrument utama dan terdapat instrument pendukung berupa pedoman observasi dan pedoman wawancara. Wawancara dilakukan terhadap tiga orang informan yaitu satu kepala kampung Abar Sentani dan dua masyarakat pengerajin kenda kampung Abar Sentani. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat aktivitas etnomatematika pada bentuk-bentuk kenda kampung Abar Sentani. Unsur-unsur matematika yang terdapat pada bentuk-bentuk kenda kampung Abar yaitu lingkaran, oval, persegi panjang, trapesium, tabung. dengan berbagai bentuk kenda atau gerabah asli kampung Abar tersebut dapat memberikan pemahaman terhadap konsep geometri. Hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran matematika di sekolah.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi permasalahan dalam pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil observasi pada saat kegiatan belajar matematika di kelas VIII E SMP Negeri 1 Sarmi bersama guru mata pelajaran matematika, diperoleh beberapa masalah yang terjadi pada saat proses belajar mengajar berlangsung yaitu pembelajaran yang diberikan oleh guru masih menggunakan pembelajaran dengan metode ceramah yang berpusat pada guru sehingga peserta didik kurang aktif baik itu bertanya ataupun menjawab pertanyaan. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan diatas maka penerapan model pembelajaran merupakan solusi yang dapat gunakan oleh guru dalam mengelola kelas menjadi lebih menyenangkan dan lebih mengutamakan keaktifan peserta didik serta memberikan kesempatan kepada peserta didik untuk mengembangkan potensinya secara maksimal. Model pembelajaran yang dimaksud adalah model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Number Head Together (NHT). Berdasarkan hasil Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat di kelas VIII E SMP Negeri 1 Sarmi diperoleh pertama Keaktifan peserta didik dilihat dari penilaian sikap setelah dilakukan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe pada materi barisan aritmatika di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Sarmi  baik; kedua Hasil belajar peserta didik setelah dilakukan proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Number Head Together (NHT) pada materi barisan aritmatika di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Sarmi mengalami peningkatan dilihat dari hasil pretes dan posttest.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan pengabdian berupa perancangan dan penggunaan alat peraga plakat pada materi bilangan berpangkat. Pelaksanaan kegiatan berlokasi di SMP Negeri 1 Sarmi. Terdapat tiga tahapan dalam melaksanakan kegiatan, yaitu: 1) Diskusi, 2) Sosialisasi, 3)Pendampingan. Pemberian materi dalam sosialisasi mencakup cara pembuatan alat peraga PLAKAT, penggunaan alat peraga plakat, evaluasi pelaksanaan kegiatan sosialisasi. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah 1) Meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam membuat dan menggunakan alat peraga PLAKAT untuk materi bilangan berpangkat, 2) menjelaskan dasar teori serta prinsip kerja alat peraga PLAKAT pada materi bilangan berpangkat, 3) memberi kesempatan siswa untuk menggunakan alat peraga dalam memahami materi bilangan berpangkat pada proses pembelajaran, 4) memberi sikap positif bagi peserta pelatihan terhadap pembelajaran bilangan berpangkat. Hasil sosialisasi ini menunjukkan keterampilan guru dalam merancang dan menggunakan alat peraga meningkat, antusias dan keaktifan siswa berdampak pada proses pembelajaran yang positif dan menyenangkan

Abstract

Numerous studies have demonstrated that the implementation of problem-based learning (PBL) can enhance student motivation and learning outcomes. However, the integration of contextual media in these instructional activities remains limited. This research aims to investigate the impact of using PBL with contextual media on student outcomes, compare the differences in mathematics achievement between students taught through PBL with contextual media and those taught through conventional methods, and assess variations in student motivation between these two instructional approaches. A quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group was employed in this study. The participants consisted of 60 sixth-grade students, divided into an experimental group (taught using PBL with contextual media) and a control group (taught using conventional methods). Data were collected through learning motivation questionnaires and objective mathematics tests, with data analysis conducted using normalized gain scores (N-Gain) and t-tests. The results indicated significant improvements in student outcomes when taught using PBL with contextual media. Additionally, there was a marked difference in mathematics achievement between the experimental and control groups, as well as differences in student motivation between the two instructional methods. These findings suggest that implementing PBL with contextual media presents a promising strategy for enhancing both student motivation and mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to consider the benefit of applying GeoGebra interactive media to improve student achievement in learning derivatives. This study was experimental research using counterbalance design. The population of the study was four classes of grade XI students of SMA Negeri 3 Jayapura academic year 2018/2019 consisting of 122 students. Purposive sampling was applied in this study to get two experimental classes with the number of students were 22 and 26 respectively. In both experimental groups received the same treatment which were learning using GeoGebra interactive media and learning without using GeoGebra interactive media which applied orderly. This process was implemented four times at both classes interchangeably. The data of the study was collected from participant’s pretest and posttest at every learning treatment. Data was analyzed using Wilcoxon Signed test with the significance level (two-tailed) of 0.05. The result of the study shows that there are significant differences in learning outcomes of the two types of learning. The learning process which was designed using GeoGebra interactive media obtained the superior learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the ability to solve problems and think critically through problem-based learning. The problem-based learning framework supports talent abilities by shaping students' thinking. This study involved students of class VIII-A SMP PGRI 4 Medan. The research approach used descriptive qualitative. SMP PGRI 4 Medan became the locus of the 2024/2025 research. This study used interviews and assessments of problem solving and critical thinking. The results showed that students' mathematical problem solving abilities averaged 65, which was moderate. Students' critical thinking averaged 66.9, which was moderate. The difficulties faced by students by comparing the results of the interview can be seen that students have difficulties in the four indicators of problem solving and critical thinking abilities. Where students ignore or do not recheck or draw conclusions and only concentrate on the solution procedure. This study shows that students have moderate problem solving and critical thinking skills when dealing with a system of linear equations of two variables.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze and describe the use of deductive reasoning and mathematical problem solving skills based on Adversity Quotient (AQ). The type of research used is qualitative descriptive research. The instruments in this study were deductive reasoning and problem solving ability test questions, and AQ questionnaires. The number of respondents in the study was 20 students. Respondents were divided into three types, namely Quitter, Camper, and Climber. The results showed that students with the Quitter type were only able to make calculations based on rules/formulas, but had not been able to draw conclusions and compile direct proof steps so that the problem solving indicators had not been achieved optimally. Students with the Camper type were able to make calculations based on rules or formulas, and were able to plan and implement plans in the problem solving aspect. Students with the Climber type were able to meet all indicators of deductive reasoning and problem solving in understanding problems, planning, implementing plans, and re-checking

Abstract

The Implementation of Content Differentiated Learning Based on Students' Readiness in the Topic of Presenting Data in the Form of a Scatter Plot in Class XI-7 of SMA Negeri 1 Jayapura. This research is a descriptive qualitative study aimed at describing the implementation of content differentiated learning based on students’ readiness in the topic of presenting data in the form of a scatter plot. The subjects of this study were 37 students from Class XI-7 of SMA Negeri 1 Jayapura, selected through purposive sampling technique.. The research instruments used included a teaching module, diagnostic assessment, individual test, and teacher observation sheet. The results of the diagnostic assessment were used to categorize students into three levels of readiness: low, medium, and high. Students were grouped into seven groups: three low-readiness groups, three medium-readiness groups, and one high-readiness group. The differentiated learning was implemented effectively, as indicated by the teacher’s observation score of 86.875% and the peer observer’s score of 88.125%, both of which fall under the “very good” category. The results of the individual test showed that 27 out of 37 students (72,97%) met the KKM, while 12 students (27,03%) did not. Among the medium- readiness group, 5 students did not meet the criteria, and among the low-readiness group, 5 students were not yet successful. These findings indicate that content-differentiated learning positively impacts students' learning outcomes, although further support is needed for those in the low-readiness group.
