Abstract

Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) refer to students' ability to solve problems by analyzing, evaluating, and creating. HOTS are essential for 21st century learning. Solving combinatorics problem troubleshooting requires HOTS. The aim of this research is to examine of senior high school students’ higher order thinking skills in solving combinatorics problems. This descriptive research describes the analysis of senior high school students’ higher order thinking skills in solving combinatorics problems. Class XII IPA 6 SMA Negeri 1 Trenggalek has a total of 21 students. Data was collected through a written test containing combinatorics problems and interviews. The results of the study show the senior high school students’ higher-order thinking skills in solving combinatorics problems: 38% of the students have "excellent" performance; 14% are rated as good; 10% are classified as enough; 38% are classified as low; no one is very poor. The most common indicator of higher-order thinking skills was analyzing (58%), followed by evaluating (55%). The creating rate is the lowest at 47%. This study can develop students' higher order thinking skills and evaluation for teachers in implementing higher order thinking skills in school.

Abstract

Kemampuan spasial yang baik membantu siswa SMA dalam meningkatkan pemahaman mereka dalam memahami simbol, bentuk, tabel, dan gambar dalam pembelajaran geometri. Siswa dengan tipe kepribadian berbeda memiliki level kecerdasan visual-spasial yang berbeda pula. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan spasial siswa ditinjau dari tipe kepribadian Florence Littauer. Unsur-unsur kemampuan spasial yang dideskripsikan dalam penelitian ini adalah persepsi spasial, rotasi mental, dan visualisasi spasial. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket, tes, dan wawancara. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 10 siswa kelas X MIPA 1, SMA Negeri 1 Jember. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis angket kepribadian untuk menentukan subjek. Dilanjutkan analisis hasil tes, dan analisis transkrip wawancara, kemudian penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan analisis hasil tes dan wawancara diperoleh keterangan bahwa siswa sanguinis dan phlegmatis mampu memenuhi semua indikator dari unsur persepsi spasial dan rotasi mental. Siswa melankolis mampu memenuhi semua indikator pada setiap unsur kemampauan spasial. Siswa koleris mampu memenuhi semua indikator persepsi spasial dan 2 indikator pada unsur rotasi mental dan visualisasi spasial.

Abstract

Tanpa disadari matematika mempunyai peran yang cukup penting dalam kebudayaan misalnya dalam mempengaruhi konstruksi budaya manusia. Oleh karena itu perlu adanya keterkaitan budaya dalam pembelajaran matematika di sekolah. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterampilan geometri siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah transformasi geometri yang berkaitan dengan etnomatematika di Pura Luhur Giri Salaka yang terletak di kawasan Taman Nasional Alas Purwo. Keterampilan geometri yang harus dipenuhi siswa adalah keterampilan visual, verbal, menggambar, logika dan terapan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Purwoharjo. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan metode tes dan metode wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa kecenderungan subjek penelitian hanya memenuhi tiga keterampilan geometri yakni keterampilan visual, logika dan terapan. Kecenderungan siswa mampu memenuhi indikator keterampilan visual. Keterampilan verbal hanya dipenuhi siswa pada saat wawancara berlangsung. Keterampilan menggambar hanya dipenuhi siswa pada soal nomor 2. Siswa dengan keterampilan logika akan mudah untuk menerapkan konsep geometri terhadap suatu objek nyata dan mampu memenuhi indikator keterampilan terapan.

Abstract

The development of technology has a very big influence in various fields of human life, especially in the field of education. One of its uses is as a tool in the learning process. Technology-based learning can make learning more interesting, effective and efficient, so that students are more enthusiastic about learning and easy to understand the material presented. The model used is the Thiagarajan or 4-D model which consists of four stages, namely the define, design, develop, and dissenimante stages. There are three data collection techniques carried out in this study, namely validity, obtained through validation by the validator; practicality, obtained from media user response questionnaires by students; effectiveness, obtained through the results of student learning tests after using the media. The results showed that the correlation coefficient with a valid interpretation was very high at 0.94. The results of the media user response questionnaire with a percentage of 88.25%. The results of the learning test with a percentage of completeness reaching 85.18% indicate that the learning media can be categorized as effective.

Abstract

Goal Programming is a method of solving problems by allocating company resources with several objectives to obtain an optimal solution. The solution can be obtained by using the QM for Windows program. The results showed that the objective function could be achieved well. The solution to the problem obtained from the QM For Windows application was that the optimal value for the budget cost of the window, storefront, and wardrobe raw materials was the same as the budget cost that had been issued by the furniture production owner, which was Rp. 22,850.000,00 per month. Then the upper limit can be minimized to raw material from aluminum (b1), which was 28.1 meters from the original 610 meters. In order to reach the target of the production process, the average working hours was 55 hours. For a good and correct production volume recommendation, the number of products produced must be optimal to produce 20 units of products consisting of 10 units of windows, five units of show windows, and five wardrobe units per month.

Abstract

Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) is an ability that can create students in critical and creative individuals. The ways that can be used to reveal students' high-level thinking skills by using contextual problems in learning. The purpose of this study was to describe the profile of high order thinking of 8th-grade students in solving contextual problems regarding slerek boat. This research is a type of descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The research subjects were 8thH grade students of  SMPN 1 Muncar, which amounted to 28 students. Data retrieval using test questions and interview activities. From the results of data collection, the results show that the ability of 8thH grade students tends to be able to solve questions at the evaluation level. This can be seen from the results of the test questions where there is 1 student who can solve the question of creation level (C6), 22 students can solve the question of the level of evaluation (C5) and 5 students can solve the level of analysis (C4). Based on the results of interviews, students who can solve the question level C5 have good ability in analyzing problems can explain the settlement process both orally and in writing, besides that it’s also able to make a hypothesis and test the hypothesis made previously

Abstract

Mathematics is very closely related to the habits that exist in society. The habits that exist in society can be called a culture. The concept or aspect of mathematics related to culture is called ethnomathematics. Ethnomathematics can also be used as teaching materials that can attract students' interest in mathematics, because students will find it easier to learn science that is directly related to real life. Thus, ethnomathematics is very important in mathematics learning activities so students can learn between mathematics and culture, and know the cultural activities that exist in the surrounding community. In this study, the ethnomathematics of the tumpeng and the Tumpeng Sewu Banyuwangi ritual, which is one of the cultures in Indonesia, will be described as well as utilizing the results of their research into ethnomathematic Students’ Worksheets (LKS). Ethnomathematics obtained are activities of counting, counting, and measuring, as well as some mathematical concepts such as algebra, arithmetic, and geometry.

Abstract

Ethnomatematics is mathematics that is found in the culture of people who have unknowingly implemented mathematical concepts in their culture. The purpose of this qualitative research with an ethnographic approach is to describe ethnomathematics in the Barong Kemiren Art. The subjects of this study were three people, namely the head of the Barong Kemiren Arts, cultural observers who understand the history of the Barong Kemiren Arts and the dancers of the Barong Kemiren. Data collection methods used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that there is ethnomathematics in the Barong Kemiren Art. The geometric elements found include: flat shapes (triangles, squares, rectangles, and circles), spatial shapes (cubes, blocks, and tubes), congruence, and geometric transformations (reflections). Ethnomathematics in this study will be made worksheets with congruences material for class IX.

Abstract

Adversity quotient menjadi daya juang dalam menunjukkan seberapa jauh individu akan berusaha untuk menyelesaikan suatu masalah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan literasi matematis siswa SMA dalam menyelesaikan soal PISA konten change and relationship ditinjau dari AQ. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang melibatkan satu subjek untuk masing-masing tipe kepribadian climber, camper, dan quitter. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui metode tes dan diuji kevalidannya melalui triangulasi metode dengan metode wawancara. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan mereduksi data, menyajikan data dan menyimpulkam berdasarkan indikator literasi matematis yang ditetapkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi matematis siswa selaras dengan tipe kepribadiannya, semakin siswa tidak mudah putus asa maka siswa cenderung mempunyai literasi matematis yang baik. Setiap subjek mampu merumuskan situasi secara matematis dan menggunakan konsep matematika. Akan tetapi, hanya subjek climber yang mampu menafsirkan solusi secara matematis secara konsisten sedangkan subjek camper hanya mampu bernalar namun tidak dapat menarik kesimpulan dengan benar dan subjek quiter tidak dapat menunjukkan proses penalaran yang logis ataupun menghasilkan kesimpulan yang benar. Hasil penelitian ini, peneliti menyarankan agar siswa ataupun pengajar dapat menumbuhkan keuletan dan pantang menyerah dalam menyelesaikan masalah.

The method used in this paper is pattern recognition and axiomatic deductive method. In this paper, we learn local irregularity vertex coloring of vertex amalgamation of path graph and determine the chromatic number on local irregularity vertex coloring of vertex amalgamation of path graph. This paper use vertex amalgamation of path graph (????????????????(???????? ,????,????)). The result of this study are expected to be used as basic studies and science development as well as applications related to local irregularity vertex coloring of vertex amalgamation of path graph.
