Abstract

Access to the Internet, as well as Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in general, is nowincreasingly needed by the wider community, including by the pesantren community. The community of pesantren needInternet media to expand access to sources of knowledge, publish the activities of pesantren, as well as a medium ofpesantren da?wah in cyberspace. Due to the lack of use of ICT in pesantren, then not all ICT components can be utilized.This community service partner is Pesantren Yasin Kudus, who wants to apply ICT to support learning for students(called santri), by providing smooth and healthy Internet access at affordable cost. The problem faced is Internet accessthat only depends on one Internet Service Provider (ISP), so if the connection on the ISP is failed then Internet accessbecomes disturbed. The solution offered is the use of two ISP connections as an Internet access network, by applying loadbalancing technology using Per Connection Classifier (PCC) method so that loading of traffic on both ISPs can bebalanced. With this program, partners can utilize Internet access from both ISPs optimally

Abstract

The vehicle's anti-theft system is a module used to protect motor vehicles from theft by using three layers of security. The first layer uses a registered fingerprint for user authentication that can enable the machine on. The second one uses a GPS tracker to recognize where the position of the vehicle. The third one of security uses a remote engine cut-off system to shut down the machine remotely using the Android app. The system consists of two separate modules that are connected using a mobile data network. The first module is attached to the motorcycle body consists of fingerprints for biometric verification, GPS tracker for vehicle tracking and a microcontroller that controls the entire onboard system, including turning on and off the machine remotely. The second module is an application on the Android system used to detect where the location of the vehicle and applications that can be used to shut down the machine remotely. The method used in this research is the waterfall, it consists of systems and software design, module creation, module testing, module integration, system testing, operation and repair. The results shows this system is trusted to secure the motor vehicle by using a fingerprint as user authentication and GPS Tracker in which accurately detect the location of the motor vehicle, and then the system can shut down the motor power from a distance so that it can discover the theft of the vehicle. The conclusions: 1) The motorized vehicle safety system that is created to ease the owner of motor vehicle to control (On/Off) the vehicle remotely; 2) Si Kemot tool has been created to provide and increase the sense of security for vehicle owners because it can provide information on the position of the coordinates and speed of the vehicle; 3) the system can be controlled simply by using Android-based gadget that is very simple and ease of operation.

Abstract

Technological developments in the field of fiber optic telecommunications with the media of the backbone network is faster in comparison with other technologies. In the process, the telecommunications industry use the metro ethernet configuration with Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) network and  Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) as the backbone network. This study aims to answer the question of how much the effect of adding the MPLS network protocol on OSPF network. So from this research can be known the value of the efficiency of the addition MPLS network protocol on OSPF network based on network performance using a software simulator GNS3 as its backbone through a step-test. From the test results concluded that based on the delay by the load, MPLS makes network performance more efficient by 67.04%, based on the packet loss and link failure conditions, MPLS makes network performance more efficient by 1.1%, but based on the no-load delay, OSPF has more efficient network performance by 41.96%, and based on the transfer rate, OSPF has a more efficient network performance by 5.2%, to delay normal conditions both have a performance with an average value of 0% packet loss. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v15i1.7600

Abstract

Abstract The Sido Rukun Farmer Group Association (Gapoktan Sido Rukun) is a partner engaged in agriculture. These partners often experience problems, namely that the rice produced is easily crushed when milled due to incomplete drying of the grain so that the quality of the rice is not good and even the quantity of rice decreases in the rainy season. Another problem experienced by this Gapoktan is the drop in the price of unhulled rice during the harvest season, even though high operational costs, especially high fertilizer prices. The use of agricultural technology is still minimal and the marketing of agricultural products, especially rice, is still conventional and individual. The design of the grain dryer with a vacuum air system contributes to solving problems in the field of agricultural technology, namely with the Gapoktan partner grain dryer. The drying technology developed is drying with gas fuel and a blower to suck air in the drying tub which is equipped with engine temperature control so that it can adjust the temperature appropriately and the level of moisture and humidity levels in the air appropriately. The results of the trials conducted to dry 300 kg of grain took 7-8 hours and the grain moisture content was 12.5. The purpose of this Community Service is to contribute to solving problems in the field of agricultural technology, namely by using the grain dryer and the management and marketing problems of the farmer group partners' crops. The current drying technology being developed is drying with natural gas which is equipped with engine temperature control so that it can adjust the temperature properly and the level of moisture and humidity levels in the air appropriately. Problems in management and marketing as well as setting fertilizer prices and grain prices are proposed to form farmer cooperatives. The special targets of this Community Service are (1) manufacture of grain dryers; (2) Regulation of temperature and moisture content Abstrak Gabungan Kelompok tani Sido Rukun ( Gapoktan Sido Rukun) merupakan mitra yang berkecimpung di bidang pertanian. Mitra tersebut sering mengalami permasalahan yaitu beras yang dihasilkan mudah hancur pada saat digiling dikarenakan pengeringan gabah yang tidak sempurna sehingga kualitas beras tidak bagus dan bahkan juga kuantitas beras menurun di musim hujan.Permasalahan lain yang dialami Gapoktan ini yaitu merosotnya harga gabah pada saat panen raya padahal biaya operasional tinggi terutama harga pupuk yang tinggi.Pemanfaatan teknologi pertanian juga masih minim serta pemasaran hasil pertanian terutama padi masih konvensional dan individual. Rancang bangun pengering gabah dengan sistem udara vacum ini berkontribusi menyelesaikan permasalahan pada bidang teknologi pertanian yaitu dengan alat pengering gabah mitra Gapoktan tersebut. Teknologi pengeringan yang dikembangkan adalah pengeringan dengan bahan bakar gas dan blower untuk menyedot udara didalam bak pengeringan yang dilengkapi dengan pengontrolan suhu mesin sehingga bisa mengatur temperatur dengan tepat dan tingkat kadar air dan kelembaban udara dengan tepat. Hasil dari uji coba yang dilakukan untuk mnegringkan gabah 300 kg diperlukan waktu 7-8 jam dan kadar air gabah sebesar 12,5. Tujuan Pengabdian pada Masyarakat ini adalah berkontribusi menyelesaikan permasalahan pada bidang teknologi pertanian yaitu dengan alat pengering gabah dan masalah- masalah menejemen dan marketing hasil panen mitra Gapoktan tersebut. Teknologi pengeringan saat ini yang dikembangkan adalah pengeringan dengan bahan bakar gas yang dilengkapi dengan pengontrolan suhu mesin sehingga bisa mengatur temperatur dengan tepat dan tingkat kadar air dan kelembaban udara dengan tepat. Permasalahan di bidang menejemen dan pemasaran serta pengaturan harga pupuk dan harga gabah diusulkan membentuk koperasi petani.Target khusus Pengabdian PKM ini adalah (1) pembuatan pengering gabah; (2) Pengaturan suhu dan tingkat kadar air

Abstract

Purpose: The main objective of this research is to develop a fall detection system and improve rapid emergency response or early warning systems for falls in the elderly. Methods: In this research, the waterfall method was used for image analysis to detect falls with high accuracy. We also used Raspberry Pi 3, and OpenCV3 to set up a server to receive fall detection alerts and forward them to email. Results: This system integrated a camera mounted on a Raspberry Pi 3 to continuously monitor the area captured by the camera. In the fall detection system, the results of testing with data showed that the system accuracy was 72.22%, sensitivity 72.72%, and error 27.77%. Novelty: The approach this research adopted can be used in a variety of settings, including home healthcare, elderly care facilities, or places that require safety monitoring. With this system, we hope to improve rapid response in emergency situations, thereby protecting and improving the quality of life for people in need.

Abstract

The use of electrical energy is a basic need for everyone. Micro Hydro Power Plant is one of the technologies that has developed recently. This technology has little adverse impact on the environment. This plant utilizes flowing water, discharge from water, and water pressure. The highlands or mountainous areas where there is flowing water. This water flow can be used as a driving force to drive a turbine, which is the driving force for this power plant because the generator uses a generator that requires motion power to generate electricity. Because this plant utilizes flowing water as a power source to drive a turbine and turn a generator. So basically, where there is running water, there is electricity. Moreover, micro Hydro does not need to build large reservoirs like hydropower. The purpose of making this system is to make it easier to check the condition of the MHP equipment and record the data obtained from the sensors that have been installed. This Website was successfully implemented using HTML, PHP, Firebase Database, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, etc. This Website will use the waterfall method, which consists of observation and needs analysis, system design, modeling, implementation and coding, testing, and maintenance

Abstract

Chatbot technology uses natural language processing with artificial intelligence that can interact quickly in answering a question and producing relevant answer. ChatGPT is the latest chatbot platform developed by Open AI which allows users to interact with text-based engines. This platform uses the GPT-3 (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) algorithm to help understand the response humans want and generate relevant responses. Using the platform, users can find answers to their questions quickly and relevantly. The method used for OpenAI's research on ChatGPT integrated through Telegram chatbot is using a waterfall method which utilizes open API tokens from Telegram. In this research we develop OpenAI application connected with telegram bot. This application can help provide a wide range of information, especially information related to the Semarang State Polytechnic. By using Telegram chatbot in the program, users can find it easy to ask because it is integrated with OpenAI using the API. Telegram chatbot, which has a chat feature, allows easy communication between users and chatbots. Thus, it may reduce system errors on the bot.

Abstract

As area surveillance technology, the camera is still suboptimal because it cannot detect suspicious human movement and there is no real-time security alert. Although motion detection is implemented, it is only activated when a person passes the PIR sensor, triggering the camera to capture the object. Due to its lengthy process, it is less effective. This study aims to develop a home surveillance system that uses object detection technology to detect unusual human movements. The system is also equipped with real-time early warning through a Telegram Messenger application. The system is then tested using various parameters that may impact the precision of detection results, including object poses, camera height, and camera distance. The system can detect objects that make unusual movements in 69 images or 57.5% of the tests, based on the analysis of 120 test data. Through the integration of object detection technology and real-time Telegram-based alerts, this home surveillance system significantly demonstrates the capability to accurately identify suspicious human motions thereby enhancing area surveillance effectiveness and adaptability to various environmental conditions.

Abstract

This study aimed to automatically classify rice seedling germination on day seven using image analysis. The categories included normal, abnormal, and dead seeds. Due to the rarity of abnormal seedlings, capturing their images resulted in imbalanced data. To address this, abnormal categories were combined into a single class. We compared logistic regression, random forest, and deep learning models (VGG19, VGG16, Alex Net) for classification. Surprisingly, logistic regression achieved the highest accuracy (93.89%) and F1-scores (0.96 normal, 0.81 abnormal) despite the imbalanced data and complex task. The effectiveness of logistic regression for rice seedling classification with imbalanced data has been demonstrated in this novel research. Historically, deep learning models dominate image recognition, but our findings suggest simpler models can excel in specific scenarios, especially with limited data availability. This highlights the importance of selecting models based on data characteristics. The urgency for this research stems from the need for efficient and accurate rice seedling evaluation. Improved classification can enhance agricultural practices and optimize resource allocation.

Abstract

Accidents and injuries to children often occur due to lack of supervision. This research develops a child presence detection system using Computer Vision technology and the Age Estimation method to improve child safety in dangerous areas. The system was tested with a Canon EOS M50 camera at various distances, camera heights, and light intensity. The analysis using anova obtained a data confidence level of 95% for light intensity, and the age estimation method showed performance with a success of 84.72%. This research can be applied to supervise and improve safety in children, especially outdoors.
