This quasi experimental study was aimed to find out the effect of PBL model on student’s understanding of mathematical concept. The population of this study was all eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 7 Bandarlampung in the odd semester of academic year of 2018/2019 as many as 305 students that were distributed into ten classes. The samples of this study were students of VIII-2 class as many as 30 students and VIII-3 class as many as 29 students who were selected by using cluster random sampling technique. The design used was the randomized control group pretest posttest design. The data analysis used was thet Mann-Whitney U test. The results of data analysis showed that the median of gain score of student’s understanding mathematical concept in PBL model was higher than the median of gain score of student’s mathematical concept in conventional learning. Thus, the PBL model affects the student’s understanding of mathematical concept.Keywords: understanding of mathematical concept, problem based learning Penelitian quasi experiment ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model PBL terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 7 Bandar-lampung semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2018/2019 sebanyak 305 siswa yang terdistribusi ke dalam 10 kelas. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII-2 sebanyak 30 siswa dan kelas VIII-3 sebanyak 29 siswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Desain yang digunakan adalah the randomized control group pretest posttest design. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji Mann-Whitney U. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa median gain skor pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dengan model PBL lebih tinggi daripada median gain skor pemahaman konsep matematis siswa dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Dengan demikian, model PBL berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.Kata kunci: pemahaman konsep matematis, problem based learning

This quasi experimental research aimed to know the influence of problem posing approach on the students’ mathematical communication skills. The design of this research was posttest-only-control-group-design. The population of this research was all students of grade 7th of junior high school of Tunas Mekar Indonesia (TMI) Bandar Lampung in academic year of 2013/2014 which was distributed into two class. The sampling which was used was total sampling. Based on the result of hypothesis testing, it obtained that the students’ mathematical communication skills by the problem posing learning was higher than conventional learning. Thus, it could be concluded the problem posing approach affect on the students’ mathematical communication skills.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan problem posing terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Desain penelitian ini adalah posttest-only-control-group-design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Tunas Mekar Indonesia (TMI) Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 yang terdistribusi dalam dua kelas. Sampling yang digunakan adalah total sampling. This study aimed to know the mistakes of students in solving problems of circle tangent related to the understanding of conceptual and the causes of learning difficulties of students. This research was descriptive qualitative with grade 8th students of SMP Negeri 23 Bandar Lampung as research subject. The data collection techniques were conceptual understanding test and interview. The research results showed two types of faults, namely: (1) conceptual error, is in the high category, (2) procedural error, is in the high category. The causes of learning difficulties were, students motivation as internal factor with sufficient qualifications is in 56% and the using of methods and ways of teaching as external factor with a highly qualified teacher is in 77.78%.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesalahan-kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan persoalan garis singgung lingkaran yang berkaitan dengan pemahaman konsep dan penyebab kesulitan belajar siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan siswa kelas VIII E SMP Negeri 23 Bandar Lampung sebagai subjek penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah tes pemahaman konsep dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan dua jenis kesalahan yaitu, (1) kesalahan konseptual, berada pada kategori tinggi, (2) kesalahan prosedural, berada pada kategori tinggi. Penyebab kesulitan belajar siswa adalah motivasi belajar siswa (faktor internal) dengan kualifikasi cukup yaitu 56% dan penggunaan metode dan cara mengajar guru (faktor eksternal) dengan kualifikasi tinggi yaitu 77,78%.Kata kunci: garis singgung lingkaran, kesalahan, pemahaman konsep

This experimental aimed to find out the influence of problem posing towards the students' mathematical creative thinking ability. The population of this research was all grade eight students of Junior High School state of 1 Lumbok Seminung in academic year of 2017/2018 as much as 80 students which were distributed into three classes. The sampling was done by purposive sampling technique and it was chosen students of VIII A and VIII B as samples. The design of this research was pretest-posttest control group design. The research data were obtained by the test of mathematical creative thinking ability. The data analysis of this research used Mann-Whitney U test. The result of this research show that enhancement of mathematical creative thinking ability of student who follow learning with problem posing model higher than mathematical creative thinking ability of student who follow learning with convensional model. Based on the result, it was concluded that problem posing influenced students’ mathematical creative thinking ability.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran problem posing terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII semester genap SMP Negeri 1 Lumbok Seminung tahun pelajaran 2017/2018 sebanyak 80 siswa dan terdistribusi dalam tiga kelas. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling dan terpilih siswa pada kelas VIII A dan VIII B sebagai sampel. Desain yang digunakan adalah pretest posttest control group design. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa. Analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan uji Mann-Withney U. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model problem posing lebih tinggi daripada pembelajaran konvensional. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran problem posing berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa. This research aimed to develop scaffolding media in mathematics learning which effective in terms of problem solving skills and students' mathematical disposition. The subject of this research was students of VII A class of SMP Negeri 1 Kotabumi. Some types of scaffolding media were cue cards, handouts, examples and suggestions on the materials triangles and rectangles been selected to be developed in two phases of SSCS learning model. The result of validation indicated that the scaffolding media has a standard feasibility of contens, laguages, and media. Additionally results of trials of small groups included in either category. The research data was obtained by the test of problem solving skills and the results of a mathematical disposition observations on each meeting. The research result obtained from the n-gain pretest and posttest get a high score of 0.72 categorized and mathematical disposition on each meeting to increase in most students.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media scaffolding pada pembelajaran matematikayang efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan disposisi matematis siswa. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII A SMP Negeri 1 Kotabumi. Beberapa jenis media scaffolding yaitu kartu petunjuk, handouts, contoh dan anjuran pada materi segitiga dan segi empat dipilih untuk dikembangkan pada dua fase model pembelajaran SSCS. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa media scaffolding telah memenuhi standar kelayakan isi, bahasa dan media. Selain itu, hasil uji coba kelompok kecil termasuk dalam kategori baik. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui hasil tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan hasil observasi disposisi matematis pada tiap pertemuan. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa n-gain pretest dan posttest mendapatkan skor 0,72 yang berkategori tinggi dan disposisi matematis pada tiap pertemuan meningkat pada sebagian besar siswa.Kata kunci: disposisi matematis, pemecahan masalah, scaffolding

This quasi experimental research aimed to find out the influence of Cooperative Learning Think Pair Share type towards student’s mathematical representation skill. The population was all student’s of class VII SMP Negeri 2 Gadingrejo in academic year 2017/2018 which were distributed in eight classes. The sample of this study were all student’s of class VII-C and VII-D selected using purposive sampling technique. The research design was pretest-posttest control group design. The research data were obtained by essay test of mathematical representation. The statistical test used was Mann-Whitney test. Based on the result of the research and discussion, it was concluded that cooperative learning think pair share type was influenced towards student’s mathematical representation skill. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Cooperative Learning tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) terhadap kemampuan representasi matematis siswa. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Gadingrejo tahun pelajaran 2017/2018 yang terdistribusi dalam 8 kelas. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII-C dan VII-D yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Desain Penelitian ini adalah pretest-posttest control group design. This research aimed to know the increasing of student’s mathematical representation skill and belief which was taught by problem based learning compared to the conventional learning. The design of this research was pretest posttest control group design. The population of this research was all students of grade 8thof SMPN 3 Pringsewu in academic year of 2013/2014 that was distributed into eight classes. The samples of this research were students of VIII3 and VIII4 class who were taken by purposive sampling technique. The research data were obtained by test of mathematical representation skill and belief scale. The conclusion of this research was the problem based learning could increase the student’s mathematical representation skill, but not increase the student’s belief.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan representasi matematis dan belief siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran berbasis masalah dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretest posttest control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMPN 3 Pringsewu tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 yang terdistribusi dalam delapan kelas. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII3 dan VIII4 yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes kemampuan representasi matematis dan skala belief. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa, namun tidak dapat meningkatkan belief siswa.Kata kunci: belief, kemampuan representasi matematis, pembelajaran berbasis masalah

This quasi experimental research aimed to find out the effectiveness of alqurun teaching model in terms of students conceptual understanding of mathematics. This research used posttest only control group design. The population of this research was all students of grade 7th of SMP IT Ar-Raihan Bandarlampung in academic year of 2016/2017 that was distributed into 4 classes and two classes were selected to be samples by purposive random sampling technique. Based on the result of research, alqurun teaching model was not effective in terms of students conceptual understanding of mathematics.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas alqurun teaching model ditinjau dari pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan posttest only control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP IT Ar-Raihan Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2016/2017 yang terdistribusi dalam 4 kelas dan 2 kelas dipilih sebagai sampel melalui teknik purposive random sampling. This research aimed to find out the influence of cooperative learning of STAD toward student’s understanding of mathematical concept. This research was quasi experiment with posttest control design. The research population was the whole of 7th grade student in first semester of SMPN 8 Bandar Lampung, with two classes as a sample of the research which was taken by using the purposive sampling technique. Research instrument was concept comprehension test and data analysis technique by using t-test. The results showed that cooperative learning of STAD positively influenced the student’s understanding of mathematical concept. This research aimed to know the effectiveness of discovery learning model in improving students mathematical problem solving skill. The population of this research was all students of grade 7th of SMPN 1 Pringsewu in academic year 2014/2015 that was distributed into 5 classes. The research sample was determined by purposive random sampling technique and it was selected students of class VII 3 as sample. This research design was one group pretest posttest. Based on the analysis of data, it was concluded that discovery learning model was not effective to improve students mathematical problem solving skill.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model discovery learning dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMPN 1 Pringsewu tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 yang terdistribusi dalam lima kelas. Sampel penelitian ditentukan dengan teknik purposive random sampling dan terpilih siswa kelas VII 3 sebagai sampel. Desain penelitian ini adalah one group pretest posttest.Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, disimpulkan bahwa model discovery learning tidak efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa.Kata kunci: efektivitas, discovery learning, pemecahan masalah matematis
