Abstract

Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah merancang model pengembangan dashboard untuk kebutuhan perguruan tinggi. Dashboard adalah aplikasi sistem informasi yang menyajikan informasi mengenai indikator utama dari aktifitas organisasi secara sekilas dalam layar tunggal. Pembuatan model memperhatikan 3(tiga) aspek utama dashboard yaitu penyajian data/informasi, personalisasi, dan kolaborasi antar pengguna. Model yang dihasilkan digunakan untuk pengembangan dashboard bagi kebutuhan monitoring dan evaluasi kinerja perguruan tinggi. Monitoring dan evaluasi kinerja mutlak dilakukan secara terus menerus oleh perguruan tinggi untuk memastikan bahwa proses bisnis yang dijalankannya dapat mencapai tujuan yang telah ditetapkan, melalui strategi pengelolaan yang tepat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dan survei kuesioner. Studi literatur dilakukan untuk membuat rancangan awal model. Sedangkan survei kuesioner dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan calon pengguna dashboard dan mengetahui faktor-faktor yang yang mempengaruhi kesuksesan pengembangan sistem informasi di perguruan tinggi. Jumlah responden sebanyak 95 orang di lingkungan Universitas Airlangga (UA) dan Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan prioritas kebutuhan dashboard untuk pengguna di UA dan ITB. Namun secara umum dapat dinyatakan bahwa kebutuhan yang terkait aspek penyajian data/informasi, personalisai, dan performansi merupakan hal yang dianggap penting untuk sebuah dashboard. Sedangkan aspek kolaborasi hanya dianggap sebagai daya tarik dashboard. Model pengembangan dashboard yang dihasilkan menggambarkan bahwa kepuasan pengguna dipengaruhi oleh kualitas sistem, kualitas layanan, dan manfaat positif yang diberikan oleh sistem.

Abstract

Salah satu tujuan dari penerapan arsitektur enterprise adalah menciptakan keselarasan antara bisnis dan teknologi informasi bagi kebutuhan organisasi. Penerapan arsitektur enterprise tidak terlepas dari bagaimana sebuah organisasi merencanakan dan merancang arsitektur enterprise tersebut. Tahapan dalam pengembangan model arsitektur enterprise sangatlah penting dan akan berlanjut pada tahapan berikutnya yaitu rencana implementasi. Penelitian ini membangun sebuah arsitektur enterprise yang nantinya bisa dijadikan oleh organisasi untuk mencapai tujuan strategisnya. Model arsitektur ini dapat dijadikan sebagai model dasar bagi institusi perguruan tinggi didalam pengembangan arsitektur enterprise.

Abstract

Many believe that information technology will be the major driver for economic wealth in the 21st century, but investing in information technology implementation on supporting corporate business process have a huge risk of failure because of the huge investment involved. There is a need of a comprehensive and structured IT governance from design until monitoring phase. This paper was trying to propose an IT governance model for a fertilizer company as a strategic state company in Indonesia’s macro economics. It identified current IT implementation, governance model requirements aligned with corporate resources and vision and mission base on COBIT standard. COBIT Standard is used because it has a good combination of the width and the depth of IT governance processes compared to other standards. Identification of current IT process maturity level showed that 50% of COBIT IT processes have maturity scale at 2, 37,5% at 1, and 12,5% at 3. None of current IT process maturity level had the same level with the expected one, so all of the process had a gap to be closed. The action in closing the maturity gap need a hard work for PT XYZ management. There are actions about defining policies and procedures, documentation of the defined policies and procedures, and a routine reviews of it. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia: Teknologi Informasi diyakini sebagai pendukung utama tercapainya tujuan perusahaan di abad 21 ini, namun investasi penerapan teknologi informasi dalam menunjang proses bisnis suatu perusahaan mempunyai resiko kegagalan yang cukup besar dikarenakan nilai investasi yang menyertainya cukup besar. Untuk itu diperlukan suatu tatakelola teknologi informasi yang komprehensif dan terstruktur dari mulai perancangan sampai pengawasannya. Makalah ini mencoba memberikan suatu usulan model tatakelola teknologi informasi di sebuah pabrik pupuk yang merupakan salah satu BUMN yang mempunyai nilai strategis dalam menunjang makro ekonomi di Indonesia. Penelitian ini akan melakukan identifikasi profil penerapan TI yang telah ada, kebutuhan model pengelolaan yang disesuaikan dengan sumber daya dan visi misi perusahaan dengan menggunakan standar COBIT. Standar COBIT digunakan karena mempunyai kompromi yang cukup baik dalam keluasan cakupan pengelolaan dan kedetailan proses-prosesnya dibandingkan dengan standar-standar lainnya. Pada pengukuran kematangan proses TI di PT XYZ, terlihat bahwa 50% proses TI COBIT mempunyai kematangan pada skala 2 (repeateable but intuitive), 37,5% pada skala 1 (initial/ad hoc), dan 12,5% pada skala 3 (defined process). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa belum satupun proses TI COBIT yang sudah mempunyai tingkat kematangan yang seharusnya dimiliki. Seluruh proses masih memiliki gap yang harus ditutup. Abstract

In the endeavor to attain its goal, an enterprise strives to undertake challenges and changes of which strategies for effective measures and efficient resource usage become necessary. To this necessity, the role of information system for supporting and enhancing enterprise performance has become more strategic and widely established. This elicits mission for information system and advises a general course of action to give a unified direction for planning, implementation and control in alignment with enterprise business strategy. A planning that identifies enterprise's information requirement and possible innovations in technology utilization for enhancing enterprise performance is a first step to begin the fulfillment of information system mission. Such a planning can be satisfied by employing Enterprise Architecture Planning methodology, which is purposed to deliver data architecture, application architecture, technology architecture and implementation plan. Implementation plan is comprised of a sequence of application development and technology platform migration / acquisition. Such a sequence is elaborated further according to business aspect as a main drive, organizational aspect which addresses people who will be involved in implementation, information system and information technology environment aspect as an interface for existing and future systems, and application development aspect which interconnects one stage in the development sequence with another. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Pencapaian tujuan suatu enterprise menghadapi berbagai tantangan serta perubahan yang memerlukan strategi untuk langkah-langkah efektif dan pemanfaatan sumber daya yang efisien. Salah satu strategi yang penting dan semakin banyak digunakan adalah pemanfaatan dan peningkatan dukungan sistem informasi bagi enterprise. Penerapan strategi ini mengembankan misi pada sistem informasi yang pemenuhannya memerlukan keterpaduan arah dalam perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan pengendalian yang selaras dengan strategi bisnis enterprise. Pembangunan strategi untuk pemenuhan misi sistem informasi dimulai dari perencanaan yang mengidentifikasi kebutuhan informasi dan kemungkinan inovasi pemanfaatan teknologi untuk peningkatan kinerja enterprise. Perencanaan ini dapat memanfaatkan metodologi Perencanaan Arsitektur Enterprise yang menghasilkan arsitektur data, arsitektur aplikasi, arsitektur teknologi, dan arah rencana implementasinya bagi enterprise. Rencana implementasi berupa urutan pengembangan aplikasi dan migrasi / akuisisi landasan teknologi dielaborasikan menurut aspek bisnis sebagai pendorong utama, aspek organisasional untuk penentuan peran bagi sumber daya pelaku implementasi, aspek lingkungan sistem informasi dan teknologi informasi untuk menjembatani kondisi sistem-sistem saat ini dan yang akan diwujudkan, serta aspek pengembangan aplikasi yang mempertautkan satu tahap pengembangan dengan tahap pengembangan lainnya. Abstract

Learning Content Management System is a system that is used to create, store, assemble, and deliver personalized elearning content in the form of learning objects. The system gives advantages for the student because the course contents are customized as needed by the students. LCMS gives authors, instructor, and subject matter experts with the mean to create e-learning content more efficient and used it to track the learner progress and performance across all types of learning activities. This paper discuss the development of LCMS application system. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Learning Content Management System (LCMS) merupakan suatu sistem yang digunakan untuk mengelola materi pembelajaran secara personal dalam e-learning. Sistem ini memberikan manfaat bagi siswa karena materi belajar diberikan sesuai dengan kemampuan dan kebutuhan siswa. Abstract

This research started when President Yudhoyono visited USA and met with Bill Gates back in 2005. President Yudhoyono later asked Gates to establish Microsoft Research Centre in Indonesia to promote the Indonesian ICT industry. Later that year, the Indonesian Government signed a MOU with the Microsoft Research Centre Asia in Beijing to extend the cooperation between Microsoft and the Indonesian Government. The MOU later took form as Microsoft Innovation Centre in ITB and ITS. The problem arises whether Microsoft will build the Microsoft Research Centre in Indonesia? Will Indonesia be able to become a leading software exporter? How the Microsoft Research centre will someday established in Indonesia. This research later focused on establishing an R&D facility in developing countries. The main concern is Microsoft research center due to its latest agreement with the Indonesian Government. The dilemma facing Microsoft research center establishment in Indonesia is analyzed using Actor-Network Analysis. The software used for this analysis is DANA (Dynamic Actor Network Analysis).The data for input of the software was gained through interviews and secondary data gathering. The issue discussed is whether ITB should involve in establishing Microsoft research center Indonesia or not. The result show that ITB should involve in minimum capacity. The result using simulation and benchmark suggest that Microsoft should begin the establishment of a research centre in Indonesia, not the other way around i.e. academics (ITB) as the primary mover. The Indonesian Government should also induce foreign knowledge-based companies to invest in Indonesia. Keywords: Microsoft research centre, feasibility study, technology transfer

Abstract

Abstract. The aim of this  study  is to  design a business process oriented Knowledge Management System (KMS) in government training institutions using knowledge modeling methods  and  knowledge  infrastructure  process  design  of  Strohmaier. Lecturer  (WI) business process is the main case study for this research. The preliminary identification and analysis showed that 7 of 10 business processes have not been fully identified in terms of their knowledge  processes. Further analysis showed that  in  general,  all  business processes have not been optimized yet to fulfill all the components of knowledge creation to knowledge application. The results of the completed knowledge process design showed that there are 53 stages of the process (there are new additional 19 stages of the process). The new processes are largely on the knowledge transfer and knowledge application that have been defined.  In  addition,  KMS  architecture  and  IT  tools  as  supporting  knowledge infrastructure designs  are  defined.  The  IT  tools  are  expected  to  support  two  knowledge process strategies :the codification strategy with the  supporting  IT  Tools : content  management  system ,  information  retrieval  system,  expert  locator  and  the personalization  strategy with  the  supporting  IT  Tools such as community of practice tool, virtual work space application and discussion group based application.Keywords: business processes, knowledge process, knowledge management system, knowledge infrastructure, IT Tools

Abstract

In the past few decades, educational institutions have been using conventional academic ERP system to integrate and optimize their business process. In this delivery model, each educational institutions are responsible of their own data, installation, and also maintenance. For some institutions, it might cause not only waste of resources, but also problems in management and financial aspects. Cloud-based Academic ERP, a SaaS-based ERP system, begin to come as a solution with is virtualization technology. It allows institutions to use only the needed ERP resources, without any specific installation, integration, or maintenance needs. As the implementation of Cloud ERP increases, problems arise on how to evaluate this system. Current evaluation approaches are either only evaluating the cloud computing aspects or only evaluating the software quality aspects. This paper proposes an assessment model for Cloud ERP system, considering both software quality characteristics and cloud computing attributes to help strategic decision makers evaluate academic Cloud ERP system.

Abstract

The development of a mesh topology in multi-node electrocardiogram (ECG) monitoring based on the ZigBee protocol still has limitations. When more than one active ECG node sends a data stream, there will be incorrect data or damage due to a failure of synchronization. The incorrect data will affect signal interpretation. Therefore, a mechanism is needed to correct or predict the damaged data. In this study, the method of expectation-maximization (EM) and regression imputation (RI) was proposed to overcome these problems. Real data from previous studies are the main modalities used in this study. The ECG signal data that has been predicted is then compared with the actual ECG data stored in the main controller memory. Root mean square error (RMSE) is calculated to measure system performance. The simulation was performed on 13 ECG waves, each of them has 1000 samples. The simulation results show that the EM method has a lower predictive error value than the RI method. The average RMSE for the EM and RI methods is 4.77 and 6.63, respectively. The proposed method is expected to be used in the case of multi-node ECG monitoring, especially in the ZigBee application to minimize errors.
