Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika memerlukan strategi dan media belajar yang tepat yang salah satunya strategi peer lesson dengan media kartu agar hasil belajar matematika siswa menjadi optimal. Tujuan penelitian ini mendeskripsikan strategi peer lesson dengan media kartu yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar operasi aljabar. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas melalui empat tahap yaitu tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 32 siswa dari kelas VIII SMPN 1 Aceh Besar. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan lembar observasi dan tes hasil belajar. Analisis data menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada peningkatan aktivitas guru dan aktivitas siswa melalui strategi peer lesson dengan media kartu. Hasil belajar operasi aljabar meningkat dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 12% dan rerata tes akhir sebesar 93,75%. Disimpulkan bahwa strategi peer lesson dengan media kartu dapat meningkatkan aktivitas guru dan siswa serta hasil belajar operasi aljabar. Kata kunci: Hasil Belajar Matematika, Operasi Aljabar, Strategi Peer Lesson, Media Kartu Mathematics learning requires the right strategy and learning media, one of which is the peer lesson strategy with card media so that students' mathematics learning outcomes become optimal. The purpose of this study is to describe the peer lesson strategy with card media that can improve the learning outcomes of algebraic operations. The design of this study is classroom action research through four stages, namely the stages of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of the study were 32 students from class VIII of SMPN 1 Aceh Besar. The research instrument used observation sheets and test results. Data analysis using descriptive statistical analysis. The results showed that there was an increase in teacher activity and student activities through peer lesson strategies with card media. The learning outcomes of algebraic operations increased from cycle I to cycle II by 12% and the average final test was 93.75%. It was concluded that the peer lesson strategy with card media could increase the activity of teachers and students as well as the results of learning algebraic operations.  Key words: Mathematics Learning Outcomes, Algebraic Operations, Peer Lesson Strategies, Card Media

Abstract

Problem solving, as the high mental activity in tackling mathematical problem should be a main concern to all respected parties. Facts and data in the field show students face a hard situation in solving math problems. Therefore, it requires an alternative solution to optimize student’s problem-solving capacity, one of them through scientific approach. Moreover, this approach builds student’s competencies in solving math problem through knowledge empowerment of critical thinking skills and creative thinking skills of students to solve the problems with a systematic and measurable way. In addition, the objectives of this research are (1) higher problem-solving skills, taught by scientific approach than those taught by realistic mathematical approach to trigonometric material, and (2) student’s response to problem solving ability through scientific approach on trigonometric material. The research population is all students of grade X SMAN 1 and the sample is the student who is in the grade X MIPA3 and grade IV MIPA by using cluster random sampling technique. This experimental study created by Posttest-only Control Design. This study also uses questionnaire and math problem solving test as the data collection. The result of research shows that (1) Statistical test of t-test on right side was obtained tcount 2,76 and ttable=1,65, and tcount > ttable then accept H1 reject H0 (2) Student response to approach 3,21. Thus, it is conclude that (1) the higher mathematical problem solving skills are taught through a scientific approach rather than the problem-solving skills taught by realistic mathematical approaches. (2) student’s response to the scientific approach of this category is very positive.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pembelajaran banded learning, hasil belajar dan respon mahasiswa setelah pendekatan blanded learning pada perkuliahan Teori Bilangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Matematika Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Keguruan UIN Ar-Raniry yang mengambil mata kuliah Metode Penelitian sebanyak 28 orang. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket, tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara kuantitas hasil belajar  mahasiswa dalam kategori baik, dosen telah mengelola pembelajaran Teori Bilangan dengan menggunakan pendekatan blanded learning dengan kategori baik dan respon mahasiswa dalam belajar pada kategori positif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang hasil belajar, tingkat ketuntasan belajar dan respon siswa dalam belajar materi persamaan linear satu variabel melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dengan media kartu di MTs Muhammadiyah Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian pra eksperimen. Sampel penelitian diperoleh dengan teknik total sampling dari kelas VII sebanyak 32 orang. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes hasil belajar dan angket respon siswa.  Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis uji t dan teknik prosentase. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan tes menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa meningkat dan siswa tuntas dalam belajar serta respon siswa belajar dalam kategori sangat positif.

Abstract

High and low acquisition of students' mathematics learning outcomes is influenced by internal and external factors. External factors of concern are related learning approaches so students are easy to learn mathematics. There is a tendency for the role of students to be more passive and teachers to be more active in the process of learning mathematics. This condition results in low acquisition of mathematics learning outcomes. One alternative solution is to teach students through the problem posing approach, so as to contribute to the involvement of students in learning mathematics. The purpose of this study was to find out: (1) statistics learning outcomes of students taught through the problem posing approach were higher than those taught through direct learning approaches and (2) student responses after the statistical learning process with a problem posing approach. This study uses a quasi-experimental study with a control group only design post test design. The population is students of MTsS Darul Hikmah Aceh Besar grade VIII and the sample was total sampling. Data were collected by statistical learning outcomes and response questionnaires. Data analysis techniques used t test for test data and response questionnaire data through analysis of average score criteria. Based on the results of the analysis of the test data obtained that tcount >ttable is 2,45  >  1,70. From the results of the questionnaire data the average score was 3.29. It was concluded that the statistical learning outcomes of students taught through the problem posing approach were higher than those taught through direct learning approaches. And the student response questionnaire after the statistical learning process with the problem posing approach in the very positive category

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of learning approaches and cognitive styles as well as its interaction with mathematics learning outcomes. This study used an experimental research 2 x 2 factorial design with 68 people were taken by cluster random sampling in madrasah tsanawiyah. The results showed that there is an interaction effect between learning and cognitive style approach to math learning outcomes. Thus the selec- tion of the relevant learning approach, the acquisition of mathematics learning outcomes are in uenced by the ability of teachers to understand the characteristics of their students. It gives the effect for students who have a particular cognitive style taught by a different learning approach gives results different learning mathematics. Learning approach applied to optimize the mathematics teacher of mathematics learning outcomes of students who have a eld independent cognitive styles.

Abstract

The process of learning mathematics tends to be less satisfactory, because the activity is done in monotonous and teacher-centered so that student learning result is not optimal. This study aims to find out about the learning outcomes, the level of mastery of learning and student responses in learning the ball material through cooperative learning model type NHT with APS. This research uses pre experimental research with one pretest-posttest design. The samples were obtained by total sampling technique from class IX as many as 25 people. The research instruments are test of learning result and student response questionnaire. The data analysis technique using t-test analysis and percentage technique. The result of the research based on the test shows that the students 'mathematics learning result is increased and the students are complete in learning as well as the students' learning response in positive category. Abstrak Proses pembelajaran matematika cenderung kurang memuaskan, karena kegiatan tersebut dilakukan secara monoton dan berpusat pada guru sehingga hasil belajar siswa tidak optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang hasil belajar, tingkat ketuntasan belajar dan respon siswa dalam belajar materi bola melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT dengan APS. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian pra eksperimen dengan rancangan one grup pretest-posttest design. Sampel penelitian diperoleh dengan teknik total sampling dari kelas IX sebanyak 25 orang. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes hasil belajar dan angket respon siswa. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis uji t dan teknik prosentase. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan tes menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar matematika siswa meningkat dan siswa tuntas dalam belajar serta respon siswa belajar dalam kategori positif. Abstract

Students' mathematics learning outcomes were still not optimally. This condition is due to several aspects, including teacher's more active learning activities than students. One alternative solution so that optimal mathematics learning outcomes are taught with the power of two cooperative learning model. The purpose of this study is to describe: (1) the mathematics learning outcomes through by the power of two type of cooperative learning model is higher than taught through conventional learning models; (2) student responses to learning activities. This research uses a quasi-experimental design. The population is students of SMPN 1 Aceh Besar grade VII and the sample was cluster random sampling. Data collected through tests of mathematics learning outcomes and response questionnaires. Data analysis techniques used descriptive and inferential. The results of the research with t-test statistics obtained tcount = 3,8 and ttable = 2,1 then tcount> ttable so that Ha accepted reject Ho and the student response mean score was 3,3 and classical learning completeness was 90,5%. Therefore, it was concluded that (1) the mathematics learning outcomes through by the power of two type of cooperative learning model of were higher than those taught with conventional learning models. (2) students' responses to learning activities in the very positive category. Abstrak Hasil belajar matematika siswa masih kurang optimal. Kondisi ini karena beberapa aspek, diantaranya kegiatan pembelajaran lebih aktif guru daripada siswa. Salah satu alternatif penyelesaian agar hasil belajar matematika optimal dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe power of two. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui: (1) hasil belajar matematika yang dibelajarkandengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe power of two lebih tinggi daripada model pembelajaran konvensional; (2) respon siswa terhadap aktivitas pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain eksperimen semu. Populasi seluruh siswa kelas VII SMPN 1 Aceh Besar dan sampel diambil secaracluster random sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes hasil belajar matematikadan angket respon. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik deskriptif dan inferensial Hasil penelitian dengan statistik uji-t diperoleh thitung= 3,8 dan ttabel = 2,1 maka thitung ttabelsehingga terima Ha tolak Ho dan respon siswa skor rerata yaitu 3,3 dan ketuntasan belajar secara klasikal sebesar 90,5%. Oleh karena itu disimpulkan bahwa (1) hasil belajar matematikayang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipepower of twolebih tinggi daripada dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional. Abstract

Mathematical problem solving skills of students are still low because of lack of student involvement in the learning process. One alternative to improve this is by teaching the students the problem-based learning models with of the STAD type. This study aimed to describe teacher activity, student activity, student response, and improvement of students' problem solving skills learned through the problem-based learning model with the STAD type. This study used classroom action research with the subjects included the students in class VIIIB MTsN 1 Pidie. Data were collected by observation, tests and response questionnaire. The data were than analyzed by using quantitative descriptive statistics. The results of the study showed that the teacher activity had an average 83% or in the good category, the students’ activities during learning were in the active category, the students’ responses had an average of 2.92 or in the positive category, and students’ problem solving skills had increased. Therefore, it can be concluded that the problem-based learning model with the STAD type was effective and successful in improving the students’ mathematical problem solving skills. Abstrak Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa masih rendah karena kurang keterlibatan mereka dalam proses pembelajaran. Salah satu alternatif agar keefektifan ditingkatkan melalui model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan tipe STAD. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan aktivitas guru, aktivitas siswa, respon siswa dan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa yang dibelajarkan melalui model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan tipe STAD. Penelitian ini menggunakan tindakan kelas dengan subjek yang diteliti kelas VIIIB MTsN 1 Pidie. Pengumpuan data melalui observasi, tes dan angket respon. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian diperoleh setelah membelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan tipe STAD bahwa aktivitas guru rerata sebesar 83% dalam kategori baik, aktivitas siswa selama pembelajaran dalam kategori aktif, respon siswa rerata sebesar 2,92 dalam kategori positif, dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa meningkat. Oleh karena itu disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dengan tipe STAD efektif secara proses dan hasil dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa. Abstract

The mathematical concept learned in school require mathematical reasoning abilities. But the test results show the students’ mathematical reasoning ability is still relatively low. To overcome this problem, applied a learning model called Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR). AIR can develop mathematical reasoning abilities students through problem solving. The purpose of this study is to describe the mathematical reasoning abilty of students through the AIR learning model is higher than taught through conventional learning models.. The research design used was quasi experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. The populations in this study were all of the Eighth Grade Students of SMPN 1 Jantho and the samples taken were classes VIII-2 and VIII-1 by using the random cluster technique sampling. The data collected wasby using the mathematical reasoning ability test. The result of research through the right-hand t-test statistic test obtained 3.79 > 1.68 then accept Ha reject Ho. Therefore, it was concluded that the students’ mathematical reasoning ability learned through the AIR learning model were higher than those taught conventional learning models. Abstrak Konsep matematika dipelajari di sekolah memerlukan kemampuan penalaran matematis. Namun hasil tes menunjukkan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa masih tergolong rendah. Salah satu alternatif membuat kemampuan penalaran matematis lebih baik melalui model pembelajaran Auditory Intelectually Repetition (AIR). Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa yang diajarkan dengan model AIR lebih baik daripada siswa yang diajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan quasi eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest control grup design. Populasi dalam penelitian seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Kota Jantho dan sampelnya kelas VIII-2 dan VIII-1 dipilih dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Data yangdikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes kemampuan penalaran matematis. Hasil penelitian melalui uji statistik uji-t pihak kanan diperoleh thitung > ttabel yaitu 3,79 > 1,68 maka Ha tolak Ho. Disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa yang diajarkan dengan model AIR lebih baik daripada yang diajarkan denganpembelajaran konvensional.
