Abstract

ABSTRACT: Acehnese tombstone is a unique terminology of a work of art involves the art design, calligraphy, and literature on a stone. The terminology was first appeared in the second decade of the 20th century. Preliminary assessment on the tombstone is still concentrated on the relationship between status of the death figure (sacred tomb) and the burial customs of the Malays/Muslims. After Indonesia independence (1945), some archeologists and historians began to analyze the Acehnese tombstone, including basic shapes, calligraphy, class, typology, and chronology of the use of Acehnese tombstones. Through a careful study of the Acehnese gravestones, it is to open the curtain on the process of Islamization in Indonesia or in Southeast Asia. Findings Acehnese tombstone dating 1007 AD in Lamreh village, Aceh Besar, two hundred years earlier than the tomb of Malik al-Saleh in Pasai, proving that the stone grave marker of Aceh has been used since the early 11th century AD and Islam has been present in Sumatera or Indonesia since the beginning of the 11th century AD.KEY WORDS: Acehnese tombstone, Lamreh village, typology, chronology, and process of Islamization in Indonesia.About the Author: Dr. Suprayitno is a Lecturer at the Department of History, Faculty of Letters USU (University of North Sumatera), Jalan Universitas No.19, USU Campus, Padang Bulan, Medan, North Sumatera, Indonesia. Abstract

Penelitian menjelaskan mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kenyamanan pada rumah panggung khususnya yang berkaitan dengan iklim tropis dan adaptasi bangunan terhadap lingkungan serta menemukan kriteria dan konsep tropis pada Rumah Panggung di daerah eks, Kesultanan Deli. Berdasarkan tujuan tersebut, direncanakan metode pengumpulan data dan analisa yang akan digunakan adalah metode tinjauan pustaka dari berbagai sumber yang dianggap relevan. Simulasi dilakukan pada elemen-elemen yang sangat berpengaruh pada bangunan utama seperti semua ruangan dan berikut komponen seperti orientasi massa bangunan, pola ruang, bukaan (jenis bukaan, posisi bukaan, luas bukaan), bentuk bangunan dan material bangunan. Simpulan yang didapat yaitu bahwa Rumah Panggung merupakan bangunan yang tanggap lingkungan tropis, meskipun adanya perubahan beberapa material. Kata Kunci : Iklim tropis, Rumah Panggung eks. Abstract

Abstract : Human resource management is one of the functions of the organization, and when the function is running well, the organization is expected to strive for employees to provide optimal performance in accordance with the expected. Factors that may affect employee performance are transformational leadership, organizational culture and organizational commitment. Transformational leadership is a state in which employees feel trust, admiration, loyalty, and respect for their leaders. Organizational culture is the norm, belief, attitude and philosophy that embraced someone in achieving organizational goals. Organizational commitment is a psychological state that characterizes the relationship of employees with the organization and that affects employees will remain in the organization or not. The object of this research is Secretariat Staff of DPRD Surakarta. Based on presurvey in Secretariat DPRD Surakarta has a phenomenon of human resources problems, namely: the leader can not be a good example for employees, there are leaders who often come late, not obey the rules set. Employees have difficulty completing tasks on time, so the job becomes ineffective. Employees are also less confident about the organization, because of the lack of rewards for employees who have good performance.Abstraksi : Manajemen sumber daya manusia adalah salah satu fungsi organisasi, dan ketika fungsinya berjalan dengan baik, organisasi diharapkan berusaha agar karyawan dapat memberikan kinerja yang optimal sesuai dengan yang diharapkan. Faktor-faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi kinerja karyawan adalah kepemimpinan transformasional, budaya organisasi dan komitmen organisasi. Kepemimpinan transformasional adalah keadaan di mana karyawan merasa percaya, mengagumi, kesetiaan, dan menghormati pemimpin mereka. Budaya organisasi adalah norma, keyakinan, sikap dan filosofi yang merangkul seseorang dalam mencapai tujuan organisasi. Komitmen organisasi adalah keadaan psikologis yang mencirikan hubungan karyawan dan organisasi yang mempengaruhi karyawan akan tetap berada di organisasi atau tidak. Objek penelitian ini adalah Staf Sekretariat DPRD Surakarta. Berdasarkan presurvey di Sekretariat DPRD Kota Surakarta, ada sejumlah masalah sumber daya manusia, yaitu: pemimpin yang tidak memiliki contoh yang baik untuk karyawan, ada pemimpin yang sering datang terlambat, tidak mematuhi aturan yang ditetapkan. Karyawan mengalami kesulitan menyelesaikan tugas tepat waktu, sehingga pekerjaan menjadi tidak efektif. Karyawan juga kurang yakin tentang organisasi, karena kurangnya penghargaan untuk karyawan yang memiliki kinerja yang baik.

Abstract

This research aimed to provide theoretical benefits for students, practitioners of infographics as the enrichment, especially for Desain Komunikasi Visual (DKV - Visual Communication Design) courses and solve the occurring visual problems. Theories related to infographic problems were used to analyze the examples ofthe student's infographic work. Moreover, the qualitative method was used for data collection in the form of literature study, observation, and documentation. The results of this research show that in general the students are less precise in the selection and usage of visual literacy elements, and the hierarchy is not good. Thus, it reduces the clarity and effectiveness of the infographic function. This is the urgency of this study about how to formulate a pattern or formula in making a work that is not only good and beautiful but also is smart, creative, and informative.

Abstract

As with another woven in the archipelago, woven Lurik has philosophy values and are also loaded with symbolic meaning. Woven Lurik can not be removed from the people’s belief as well as various religious and customs rituals. The purpose of this study is to redescribe the symbolic meaning of the woven Lurik, with a qualitative method approach through the study of literature and interview stages. Philosophy and symbolic meaning of a piece of Lurik normally reflected in the motifs and colors. Woven Lurik with its various pattern is considered to have sacred values that give good luck, advice, guidance, and hope. All of which is reflected in the style sheet / woven motifs.

Abstract

This study was a review on the problem of rules of logo design principles used in visual identity in the city of Bogor at random. The purpose of this study was to provide input and a better visual identity approach in accordance with the principles of design. One of the theories used was the theory of Gestalt Max Wertheimer. The theory was used to dissect some examples of visual identity in the area especially the city of Bogor. The research applied qualitative research methods, including data collection in the form of literature study, accompanied by observation and documentation. The results of this research are in the form of suggestions and inputs in designing a visual identity or logo, with applied Gestalt principles as one approach to visual solutions more unique and interesting. So the identity of a brand becomes more memorable.

Abstract

Perancanaan Stasiun Kereta Api merupakan sarana pelayanan angkutan umum untuk memudahkan masyarakat khususnya kota Kisaran dalam melakukan perpindahan antar kota dengan transportasi dan mengakses sumber daya kota, Sehingga dapat menumbuhkan minat masyarakat untuk menggunakan sarana transportasi umum serta mengurangi kemacetan. Lokasi perencanaan berada di Jl. HOS Cokroaminoto, Kecamatan Kisaran Barat, Kabupaten Asahan, Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Lokasi berada di kawasan ramai penduduk yang menjadi jalur transportasi kendaraan umum. Pendekatan arsitektur metafora dapat di aplikasikan pada bentuk atap yang menyerupai gelombang air.

Abstract

Medan Islamic Center dengan penekanan pada Arsitektur Modern adalah pusat pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi dan dakwah islam  yang digunakan untuk aktifitas keagamaan. Perencanaan Islamic Center ditujukan untuk menampung beberapa kegiatan penunjang keislaman yang terdiri dari kegiatan mu’amalah,dakwah dan ta’lim keislaman yang mengikuti kemodrenan jaman meliputi pengetahuan teknologi yang berkembang saat ini. Pembangunan bidang agama yang telah dilaksanakan sejak Indonesia merdeka telah memberikan dampak seperti meningkatnya pemahaman keagamaan masyarakat, semaraknya kegiatan-kegiatan sosial keagamaan atau meningkatnya jumlah tempat-tempat ibadah serta meningkatnya jumlah jamaah haji. Keberadaan Medan Islamic Center ini dilatar belakangi adanya tuntutan terhadap pemenuhan sarana yang lebih baik seiring dengan perkembangan kegiatan keagamaan di Medan, sehingga dengan  adanya fasilitas Islamic Center ini diharapkan dapat menjembatani kehidupan sosial masyarakat dengan kaidah-kaidah Islam dalam perubahan dinamika sosial budaya di era sekarang ini. Islamic Center yang merupakan tempat pemusatan aktifitas dan pengembangan Islam, maupun pengembangan  masyarakat yang kreatif dan berakhlak mulia, selain itu diharapkan dapat meningkatkan aspirasi serta citra dan arsitektur di Indonesia, khususnya di Kota Medan.

Abstract

One of the factors that make loyal customers against brownies Amanda is a quality product. So is the case with product quality, service quality, promotion and customer satisfaction which can support customer loyalty. The population in this research is the customers Brownies Amanda Surakarta. Sample numbering 100 respondents with the formula Leedy. The technique of sampling was done randomly sampling with a deliberate method of sampling. Test instrument use test validity and reliability tests, methods of data analysis using classical assumptions of the test, a multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, F-test and coefficient of determination (R2) and the absolute difference test. The results of this study showed that the quality of products, quality of service, promotions and customer satisfaction in partial effect significantly to loyalty customer loyalty Brownies Amanda Surakarta. Customer satisfaction the moderating influence of the quality of products, quality of service, promotions and customer satisfaction are partial toward customer loyalty Brownies Amanda Surakarta. Results the coefficient of determination (adjusted R2) of 0,732, which means that the magnitude of the contribution to the influence of the variable quality of products, quality of service, promotions and customer satisfaction towards loylitas customers Brownies Amanda Surakarta is 73,2%, While the rest of 26,8% is affected by other variables not examined.Keywords: product quality, service quality, promotion. customer loyalty, customer satisfaction.

Abstract

This extension activity was conducted for Karang Taruna Desa Papahan, Kec. Tasikmadu, Kab. Karanganyar. The outcomes of this activity are: cheap participants' knowledge of the concept of entrepreneurship so that they have the right knowledge; benefit participants' insights on how to start a business and choose the right type of business; benefit participants' insights about possible business failures and ways to enter and resolve business failures.This activity is carried out with the following stages: Selection of participants to the community service, namely the board and members of Karang Taruna; Submission of lecture materials, with a view to fostering an entrepreneurial spirit; Implementation of evaluation Evaluation is done by: before counseling conducted a question-answer to know each participant's initial knowledge about entrepreneurship special techniques or how to start a business. After the counseling finished the question and answer again about the same material. By comparing the results of answers that have been done, it will be known whether there is an increase in knowledge about the entrepreneurship and scope.Keywords: Counseling, entrepreneurship, management
