Abstract

In the current civics lesson, students often experience boredom and tends to just lecture to simply look for value alone. This is due to the material being taught monotonous, theoretical, cognitive nature, even verbalistic. In the course it appears that the students just come, sit down, shut up and go home and some have fallen asleep. Although the discussion of the methods applied in lectures, but students and lecturers are more likely to lead to the questioning, rarely exchanging information, let alone understanding, not able to analyze and comment on the information that is different, and not many are active but more so the audience, so the ability critical thinking and interpersonal skills difficult to achieve. This resulted in "disruption" process of character formation of students as embodied the vision, mission, and goals of the Civic Education. For that one of the efforts is to develop a simple method and a simple discussion, starting from the preparation phase, the implementation phase and the closing phase. Abstract

This article analyzes the existence of civics education learning as a value education in building the character of the nation. Imple-mentation of character education in schools should be grounded to the basic character values​​, which subsequently developed into the values ​​that better suit the needs, conditions, and school environment itself. Basically, success in life is not determined by a person's knowledge and skills, but also by the ability to manage themselves and others. This suggests that the quality of character education of students are very important to be improved. Character education in schools should begin by giving confidence to students to be able to do positive things in their everyday lives. Abstract

Theoretically, in the context of the establishment of the democratic process, the existence of newspapers in political communication on the elections should be independent. It means that newspapers should be able to investigate in a professional, freely without bias from any parties, be objective in reporting the facts or events that occurred in the elections so as to form an opinion that does not harm anyone in increasing confidence of the people for making their choices. Methodologically, the independence of a newspaper can be measured by the Content Analysis Method in the editorial, whether the editor has the discretion to review the news, issues, or events that occur in the elections, or whether it was influenced or not influenced by certain parties, particularly candidates in the elections. In addition, the independence of the newspapers can also be seen from the attitude of the editor in the editorial, whether it be supportive, neutral, or not being supportive.Keywords: Existence, independency, political communication, local elections,  demo-cratic process

Abstract

There had been some significant improvements made in the process of political communication during Pilkada (governor election) 2005 in West Sumatera. The fluency of political communication process was influenced by the independency of news paper including Harian Umum Singgalang as one  medium  to convey ideas, statement, and political messages given by the Pilkada’s candidate (cagub/cawagub). The independency of news paper was determined through its “Tajuk Rencana”. In the “Tajuk Rencana”, the editor was free to convey the ideas and thoughts without being influenced by any other parties, especially by the canditates. The news paper roled neutral by clearly extending the society perspective related to the problems occured in the Pilkada. Therefore, the news paper had roled as a political communication medium which acted independently to succeed the process of democracy in the Pilkada of 2005 in West Sumatera. Abstract

Abstrak            Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) motivasi belajar siswa kelas X SMA Laboratorium Undiksha Singaraja Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017, (2) hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan Kelas X SMA Laboratorium Undiksha Singaraja Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017 dan (3) hubungan motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegraan Kelas X SMA Laboratorium Undiksha Singaraja Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian Expost facto. Adapun jenis penelitiannya adalah korelasional. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yang melibatkan populasi dengan jumlah 250 siswa dan pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive random sampling yang berpedoman pada tabel Sampel Krejcie dan Morgan terpilih sebanyak 152 siswa. Data dikumpulkan dengan kuesioner dan dokumen niali guru. Data dianalisis dengan korelasi produk moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) rata-rata/mean motivasi belajar siswa kelas X SMA SMA Laboratorium Undiksha Singaraja Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017 adalah 134,1 atau dalam kategori sedang, (2) rata-rata/mean hasil belajar siswa kelas X SMA SMA Laboratorium Undiksha Singaraja Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017 adalah 85 atau dalam kategori sedang, dan (3) terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegraan Kelas X SMA Laboratorium Undiksha Singaraja Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017. Kata kunci : Motivasi Belajar, Hasil BelajarAbstract            The purposes of this research are 1) knowing the students? learning motivation in 10th  grade at SMA Laboratorium Undiksha Singaraja in academic year 2016/2017, 2) knowing the students? achievement in civics subject in 10th grade at SMA Laboratorium Undiksha Singaraja in academic year 2016/2017, 3) knowing the correlation between learning motivation and students? achievement in learning civics in 10th grade of SMA Laboratorium Undiksha Singaraja in academic year 2016/2017. This research used expost facto method. It is a kind of correlation this research also involves a population in which the students? is 250. This research also takes sampling which uses purposive random sampling based on table krajcie and morgan with the total 152 students. The date were collacted by using quistionaire and teacher value documents. The data were analyzed using product moment correlation. The result of this research are 1) the average of students? learning motivation in 10th grade at SMA Laboratorium Undiksha Singaraja in academic year 2016/2017 is 134,1 which is categorized as medium. 2) the average of students? achievement in 10th grade at SMA Laboratorium Undiksha Singaraja in academic year 2016/2017 is 85 which is categorized as medium, and 3) there is positive and significant correlation between learning motivation and students? achievement in civic subject in 10th grade at SMA Laboratorium Undiksha Singaraja in academic year 2016/2017. Abstract

PT. Tunas Toyota Cilegon adalah salah satu perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang service atau bengkel body repair kendaraan roda empat yang berada di kota cilegon.  Metode 7 QC Tools  (QCC) adalah metode yang dapat dipakai untuk mengatasi masalah defect terhadap cat kendaraan, tujuannya adalah untuk mengendalikan mutu cat kendaraan  dan mengurangi jumlah kendaraan yang mengalami defect terkait banyaknya komplain konsumen.  Setelah dilakukan pengamatan pada proses Quality Control didapatkan 16 jenis defect yang sering terjadi, SOP baru dibuat sebagai pedoman atau acuan saat melakukan cek Quality Control pada kendaraan. dan hasil dari perbaikan dengan SOP yang baru terbukti bisa menurunkan persentase total komplain konsumen dari 2,00% turun menjadi 1,17% dari jumlah defect

Abstract

Palm oil is one of the main crops and seeds in Indonesia. In oil palm plantations, oil palm crops are the most important things. Oil palm crops in the right time and quantity are what the farmers want. Therefore, harvest prediction is needed to be used as reference of palm oil harvest target. Determination of harvest targets required a method that is able to predict the yield of oil palm. In this research, built a system of fuzzy inference with TSK method (Takagi Sugeno Kang), which aims to predict the yield of oil palm farmers. The fuzzy rules in the form of IF antecedent THEN are consequent, using consequent linear equations of the input variables. The coefficients of each variable of linear equation are consequently derived based on the expected yield of the harvest. The results of prediction testing of Palm Oil harvest production in 3 seasons, namely Dry Season, Rainy Season, Fertilization, input the number by values of variable with to the given range prove that the fuzzy inference of the TSK method can calculate palm oil crop predictions well.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) knowing the planning of learning Tahsin Al Qur'an with the Iqro' method at SD IT DOD Tanjung Gusta, (2) knowing the implementation of learning Tahsin Al Qur'an with the Iqro' method at SD IT DOD Tanjung Gusta, (3) knowing the evaluation of learning Tahsin Al Qur'an with the Iqro method at SD IT DOD Tanjung Gusta. To achieve the above objectives, a qualitative approach is used with a qualitative descriptive type. Data collection is done by using interview, observation and documentation methods. The data are analyzed by reducing the relevant data, presenting the data and drawing conclusions. The results showed that: (1) Planning for Tahsin Al Qur'an learning with the Iqro' method was guided by the learning program that had been designed by the vice principal for student affairs and the coordinator of Thafidz/Tahsin SD IT DOD Tanjung Gusta, the teacher only adjusted the hours of learning and regulate the conditions of students in the classroom, while the necessary preparation itself is the mastery of learning materials and supporting materials such as Arabic writing in order to improve the quality of students' abilities. (2) the implementation of learning Tahsin Al Qur'an with the Iqro method begins with muroja'ah reading the previous Iqro' together, then enters the material. The teacher reads and explains while the students listen to the Iqro' read by the teacher, after that the students read together and write. (3) evaluation of learning Tahsin Al Qur'an with the Iqro' method, daily assessments are carried out at the end of each student learning meeting by being tested one by one in front of the teacher. The assessment of the increase in the level of Tahsin learning stages is by conducting monthly exams, mid-semester exams and end-semester exams.

Abstract

Discovery Learning is a method of understanding concepts, meanings and relationships, through an intuitive process to finally arrive at a conclusion. This Discovery Learning model is able to have a positive influence on the activity of students, the ability to think critically, and the results during the learning process of students. Based on the problems above, the teacher plays an important role in the learning process. This discovery model can make the class atmosphere more active, not boring and the most important thing is that it can stimulate students to think critically. Therefore, it is necessary to do research to find out how to plan, implement and evaluate the learning of Islamic Religious Education based on the Discovery Learning Model in SMPN 7 Sijunjung. This research method is qualitative with a descriptive research type. With this data collected is not in the form of numbers but from the results of observations and interviews. The informants in this study were curriculum representatives, Islamic Religious Education teachers, and SMPN 7 Sijunjung students. The techniques used in analyzing the data are data reduction, presentation and conclusions. The planning stage carried out by the PAI teacher is by making a Learning Plan. The implementation of the Discovery model goes according to the steps applied to the implementation, where there are 3 learning stages, namely preliminary activities, core activities and closing. The evaluation that is used when using the discovery model is that the teacher measures it by conducting tests both orally and in writing and also the teacher also often collaborates with the reflection stage on students using games.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of the Quiz-Quiz Trade cooperative learning model in improving student learning outcomes in PAI subjects at SDN 39 Ambacang. Using a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, data were collected through observation, documentation, and interviews. The results indicate that: (1) The planning of the Quiz-Quiz Trade model is guided by the curriculum and is reflected in the lesson plans. (2) During implementation, teachers prepare and deliver learning materials, provide stimuli and responses, assign Quiz-Quiz Trade tasks, ensure task accountability, and conduct evaluations. (3) Student learning outcomes using this model are divided into intrinsic outcomes (challenge, curiosity, self-control, and fantasy) and extrinsic outcomes (parental sanctions, rewards, punishments, and praise). (4) Evaluation reveals that PAI teachers do not use the observation sheets for student discussions as listed in the lesson plans and rely on multiple-choice tests that do not meet HOTS criteria, limiting the effectiveness in improving student learning outcomes in class V SDN 39 Ambacang.
