Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi secara morfologi dan mikroskopik serta untukmengetahui insidensi parasit pada ikan tongkol (Auxis thazard) yang diambil dari tempat pelelanganikan di Jakarta Utara. Sebanyak 20 ekor ikan tongkol digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Pengambilansampel ikan dilakukan secara sampling. Di samping itu, penelitian ini juga bermanfaat untukmemperkaya literatur tentang parasit pada ikan di Indonesia. Sebanyak lima jenis parasit ditemukanpada ikan tongkol yaitu: Kollikeria orientalis, Didymozoid A, Lecithochirium sp., Rhadinorhyncus sp., danDidymocystis wedli. Dari 20 sampel rata-rata panjang ikan tongkol yang diamati 19,2–32 cm dan sampelikan tongkol terinfeksi parasit di semua bagian organ yang diamati.

Abstract

Bungkil inti sawit digunakan sebagai pakan ternak, berpotensi besar menggantikan sebagian bahan pakan pada ransum komesial. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi energi metabolis ransum mengandung bungkil inti sawit pada ayam kampung. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan menggunakan sebanyak 16 ekor ayam kampung disusun secara acak menjadi 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan yang digunakan adalah R0= Pemberian pakan komersil tanpa penambahan bungkil inti sawit;  R1= Pemberian pakan komersil dengan penambahan 10 % bungkil inti sawit; R2= Pemberian pakan komersil dengan penambahan 15 % bungkil inti sawit; R3= Pemberian pakan komersil dengan penambahan 20 % bungkil inti sawit. Peubah yang diamati terdiri dari energi metabolis dan kecernaan ransum ayam kampong dengan menggunakan metoda indikator Cr2O3. Hasil penelitian  menggunakan metode indikator menunjukan bahwa tepung bungkil inti sawit tidak erpengaruh nyata   pada energi metabolis, dan  kecernaan ransum. Namun pada kecernaan lemak kasar, menunjukan bahwa penambahan tepung bungkil inti sawit sangat berpengaruh nyata (P<0,01).KATA KUNCI: ayam kampung, tepung bungkil inti  sawit, energi metabolis  THE INFLUENCE OF COMMERCIAL FEED SUBSTITUTION FOR CAKE FLOUR BY PALM KERNEL OF ENERGY RATION DIGESTIBILITY AND METABOLIS FREE-RANGE CHICKENABSTRACTPalm kernel for cake which is used as animal feed, potentially replacing big feed ingredients in commercial rations. This research was conducted to evaluate the energy metabolis rations contain palm kernel for cake on a free-range chicken. Draft research using randomized complete design with the use of as many as 16 free-range chickens randomly arranged into 4 treatments and 4 replicates. The treatment used is R0 = feeding a commercial without the addition of palm kernel for cake;  R1 = feeding a commercial with the addition of 10% for cake palm kernel; R2 = feeding a commercial with the addition of 15% for cake palm kernel; R3 = feeding a commercial with the addition of 20% for cake palm kernel. The observed variables are composed of energy and digestibility of metabolis free-range chicken rations using indicators of Cr2O3. The results of research using the method of indicator showing that palm kernel for cake flour has no effect on the real energy ration digestibility and metabolis. However, on a rough fat digestibility showed that the addition of palm kernel for cake flour is very influential real (P < 0.01).

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dosis rosella terbaik terhadap ketahanan tubuh benih ikan yang diuji tantang dengan bakteri Aeromonas hydrophila. Sebagai perlakuan adalah 0 g rosela/kg pakan (kontrol), 10 g rosela/kg pakan, 20 g rosela/kg pakan, dan 30 g rosela/kg pakan. Uji tantang dilakukan setelah ikan diberi pakan selama 30 hari sesuai perlakuan. Setiap ekor benih ikan disuntik dengan 106 sel bakteri melalui otot punggung. Parameter yang dievaluasi adalah total leukosit, hematokrit, indeks fagositik, dan mortalitas benih ikan. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa total leukosit dan hematokrit terbaik diperoleh pada ikan yang diberi pakan 20 g rosela/kg pakan tetapi indeks fagositik, ketahanan tubuh, dan mortalitas ikan diperoleh pada ikan yang diberi pakan 30 g rosela/kg pakan. Penambahan rosela dalam pakan telah dapat meningkatkan ketahanan tubuh benih ikan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi ektoparasit dan menentukan insidensiektoparasit pada ikan kembung (Rastreliger kanagurta) di tempat Pelelangan Ikan, MuaraAngke, Jakarta Utara. Pengambilan sampel di TPI Muara Angke Jakarta Utara sebanyak 20 ekordengan ukuran 40,9−112,7 gram dan panjang 12,4–19,3 cm. Proses identifikasi dilaksanakandi laboratorium dengan menggunakan mikroskop perbesaran total 100x. Ektoparasit yangditemukan adalah Kuhnia scombercolias (dengan insidensi 20% di insang),Pseudosteringophorus sp. (dengan insidensi 70% di usus), Lechithocladium scombri (denganinsidensi 25% di usus), dan Anisakis sp. (dengan insidensi 5% di usus dan 5% di ginjal).Kata kunci: ektoparasit, ikan kembung, insidensi, inventarisasi

Abstract

EAFM implementation need indicators that could be used as tools of  monotoring and evaluation about to what extent a fisheries  management has been aplicated the principles of ecosystem-based management.   The aim of study of EAFM indicators valuation is to evaluate the  perform of fisheries resources management with approach of  EAFM indicators in Raja Ampat and Aru Islands Districts. EAFM indicators include 6 domains that are : (1) fish resources, (2) habitat and ecosystem, (3) fishing techniques, (4) Economy, (5) Social, and (6) institusional. Methods of  data taking was carried out with  survey method by means of interview/questionnaires and FGD (Foccus Group Discussion). Determination of samples quantity use purposive sampling. The evaluation result against domains of EAFM in Raja Ampat District ranged between 48.3 – 80.0.  This is indicate that status of ecosystem-based region management in Raja Ampat District belonging in category noderate till excelent. The evaluation result against domains of EAFM in Aru Islands District ranged between 57.2 – 93.3.  This is indicate that status of ecosystem-based region management in Aru Islands District belonging in category m oderate till excelent. Key words: EAFM, indicators, Raja Ampat, Aru Islands

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi dampak program Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) pada bidang studi Akuakultur di Universitas Djuanda.  Evaluasi dilakukan dengan bantuan kuesioner terhadap seluruh dosen dan representasi mahasiswa pada program studi Akuakultur Universitas Djuanda.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program MBKM menunjukkan tingkat manfaat yang cukup besar bagi dosen dan mahasiswa yang mengikuti program tersebut.  Program MBKM memberikan dampak positif pada peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mahasisw serta memberikan dampak terhadap peningkatan kapasitas dosen.  Mitigasi terhadap hambatan yang dapat timbul dalam proses penyelenggaraan program MBKM sangat diperlukan agar tujuan dan manfaat program dapat dicapai dengan baik, optimal dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The experimental research was carried out on October 2018 at The Fisheries Laboratory, Djuanda University, Bogor. The research is aimed to know the effect of Spirulina platensis fluor supplementation to artificial feed on increasing of goldfish color quality. The experimental research used completely randomized design with 4 treatments and each 3 replications. The treatments are A (Control), B (the supplementation of Spirulina platensis fluor with a dose of 3 %/1 kg  of artificial feed), C (the supplementation of Spirulina platensis fluor with a dose of 6 %/1 kg  of artificial feed), dan D (the supplementation of Spirulina platensis fluor with a dose of 9 %/1 kg  of artificial feed). The increasing of color quality and the survival rate of goldfish has been evaluated. The results of research showed that the fish color changes on the thirteenth day began to look thick and bright. The best dose is obtained in treatmens C and D. The survival rate of 100 % in all treatments. Key words : Color quality, Goldfish, Spirulina platensis, survival rate

Abstract

Aquaponics is an integration between fish and plant cultivation that benefits these two sectors. The development of aquaponics at the farm level can be an effort to increase food security. This community service activity aims to apply aquaponic leaf vegetable cultivation techniques, to optimize the facilities available at Gapoktan Bina Sejahtera (fish ponds). Activities carried out by counseling methods, training and demolots to farmers regarding the cultivation techniques of leaf vegetables and red tilapia with an aquaponic system. During the activity, monitoring was also carried out by a team of service lecturers, assistance by student teams and evaluation through pretest and posttest. This community service activity is able to provide new experiences, and increase farmers' knowledge and skills in cultivating red tilapia and leaf vegetables with an aquaponic system.
