Abstract

This research to get formulation the best of sausage from benefit of sago essence and meat of eel.  This research was carried out experiments using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 4 replications in order to obtain 16 experimental units. The data obtained were statistically analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). If the calculated F is greater than or equal to F table then continued with DNMRT test at 5% level. Sensory evaluation data show that by using PCA and cluster analysis, evaluation organoleptic by analysis hedonic with spider web to see attribute that protrude from every treatment. According to proceeds of chemists analysis and organoleptic experiment the best sausage get from 5% tapioca essence and 10% sago essence so that  treatment of TSB3 by characteristic like: activity of water 71,25%, activity of ashes 1,8%, activity of protein 8,9 %, activity of fat, activity 4,80%, carbohydrate 13,12% and experiment of color hedonic 2,24 %. Organoleptic evaluation by hedonic toward color 2,24 (rather agree), taste 1,97 (rather agree),  2,74 (rather agree) form 2,28 (rather agree) and over all evaluation 2,22 (rather agree) then organolepic evaluation by descriptive to color 2,52 (white grey), taste 2,20 (rather taste of eel), 2,43(rather stink), form 2,35 (elastic).   Kata kunci: susu fermentasi, Lactobacillus plantarum 1 R.11.1.2, kacang hijau dan kacang kedelai. Abstract

Abstrak Sekarang ini, kebutuhan energi listrik semakin meningkat sedangkan cadangan energi global semakin langka. Oleh karena itu, sudah saatnya manajemen penggunaan energi menjadi bagian penting dalam struktur manajemen perusahaan, khususnya pada gedung perkantoran dan industri. Namun, tidak seluruh perusahaan memperhatikan manajemen penggunaan energi, salah satunya adalah PT.XYZ. Hal ini terlihat dari baru dibentuknya bagian manajemen energi pada periode awal tahun 2014, yaitu manajemen PT.XYZ Property. Oleh karena itu dilakukan audit energi guna mengetahui profil penggunaan energi listrik pada gedung, nilai Intensitas Konsumsi Energi (IKE), pemborosan pemakaian energi yang terjadi dan peluang hemat energi yang dapat dilakukan. Pada penelitian ini, dilakukan audit energi yang terdiri dari survei energi dan audit energi awal. Dari hasil audit energi, dapat diidentifikasi beberapa alternatif peluang hemat energi yang dapat diaplikasikan pada PT.XYZ. Beberapa alternatif yang direkomendasikan tersebut, akan dipilih alternatif terbaik dengan menggunakan metode Preference Ranking Organization Method for Enrichment Evaluation (PROMETHEE) dengan terlebih dahulu dihitung bobot kriteria dan sub-kriterianya menggunakan metode Analytical Network Process (ANP). Dari hasil audit energi, nilai IKE PT.XYZ pada periode bulan Maret sampai Agustus 2014 berada pada kategori boros, dengan range nilai 19,17–23,75 kWh/m2/bulan. Maka dari itu perlu dilakukan suatu konservasi energi agar energi dapat dikonsumsi secara optimal. Dari hasil perangkingan dengan metode PROMETHEE, alternatif konservasi energi yang direkomendasikan pada PT.XYZ adalah penerapan teknologi hemat energi. Abstract

The active components of palm oil shell were succesfully extracted by methanol. The methanol extract was, then, subjected to investigate its antibacterial properties. The phytochemical screening demonstrated the presence of triterpenoid and flavonoid compounds. The methanol extract was also tested for antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus (Gram positive bacteria) and Escherichia coli (Gram negative bacteria). The triterpenoid and flavonoid compounds are more sensitive in inhibiting the growth of Gram positive bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus) than Gram negative bacteria (Escherichia coli). Further, the concentration of the methanol extract (1%, 5%, 10%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%, respectively), were tested against the Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. Inhibition zone was formed starting at a concentration of 5% and above, while the largest inhibition zone was at a concentration of 100%, as expected. Minimum Inhibition Concentration (MIC) and Minimum Bactericidal Concentration (MBC) tests were performed by the method of dilution with concentration of 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, 10%, 12%, 14%, 16%, 18% and 20%, respectively. The methanol extract was as effective as bacteriostatic (according to MIC test) against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli at concentration 6% and is also considered effective as bactericidal (according to MBC test) at concentration 14% and 12%, respectively.   Keywords: Methanol extract of palm oil shell, Antibacterial, Staphylococus aureus, Escherichia coli

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the level of consumer preferences of prebiotic burger with white oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus) and chicken.  The research was carried out by experiment with seven treatments, that were the combination of white oyster mushroom (J) and chicken (A) ; JA1 (0:4), JA2 (1:3), JA3 (2:2), JA4 (3:1), JA5 (4:0), the control JA6 (beef 100%), and control JA7 (commercial chicken burger).  Sensory analysis of this research used hedonic test and descriptive test.  The results of cluster analysis (AHC) from hedonic test and analysis of Principal Component Analysis (PCA) from descriptive test were analyzed used preference mapping.  The best treatment in this research was JA2 (oyster mushroom 1:3 chicken) with the level of consumer preference by 57% that have characteristic garlic flavor, garlic taste, barbeque flavor, barbeque taste, and chicken taste.     Keywords: Prebiotic burger, oyster mushroom, chicken, consumer preference, preference mapping

Abstract

Consumer assessment in a purchase is influenced by the perceived personal interests or incurred by the conditions that must be decided choice to set the right choice of the needed product. This study aims to analyse the influence marketing mix (4P) on consumer purchasing decisions at Faperta UR's canteen and knows of the fourth marketing mix (4P), which is the most dominant influence consumer purchasing decision at Faperta UR's canteen. Sample in this study amounted to 184 respondents. Data were analyzed using of structural equation modeling (SEM). Analysis shows the marketing mix variables of product, price, place, and promotion, of the four marketing mix that is variable with a value of 54.10%. Abstract

Agroindustry sector is a sector which play important roles in provide added value for agricultural products, employment and foreign exchange earner for the Riau Province.This study aims to analyze the role of agroindustry sector against the economy of Riau Province through input-output structure review. The data in this research is data input-output table of  Riau Province basedthe price producers transactions in 2012 with 18 x 18 sector classification sourced from Bappeda of Riau Province. Analysis of the role of agroindustry sector is done through a review of the output and the input.The results show that:First, Agroindustrysector contributes highto the economy of the Riau Province. Secondly, in terms of output, component output establishment of agroindustry is driven by exports, intermediate output and consumption. Third, in terms of inputs, agroindustry sector is driven by the intermediate input, producer surplus and wages-salary.Based on these results, in order to encourage economic growth through the development of agroindustry sector it is necessary to the efforts of all parties involved, both government and private sector by developing agroindustry based commodities exports and increase direct investment that needs to be driven by the accumulation of capital from producer surplus.   Keywords: the role of agroindustry sector, input-output table, producer surplus

Abstract

  The fisheries sector(which is madeup of capturefisheries and aquaculture) is one of the most important household economics in Kabupaten Kampar, both from economic and social standpoints. The fisheries, particularly catfish, have also significant role in supplying community’s consumption for animal protein in the area, increasing fishermen revenue, and providing employment opportunities. Given the nature of the fishery products as a perishable product, the most common method to preserve the fish is by smoking the fish. The smoked fisheries industry further supports almost 12 % of households (directly and indirectly), and contributes to the livelihood, employment, and household food security, especially forcommunities live along the Kampar’s Delta. Currently, several fisheries small-holder’s enterprises were assisted by The Agribusiness Incubator, University of Riau, in terms of processing, packaging, and marketing techniques. This research was aimed to study marketing and behavioural analysis of smoked catfish produced by the enterprises. Most of the respondents are at productive age (15-54 years), with a high school education or equivalent level, and the average amount of revenue per month ranged between Rp. 2,600,000 to Rp. 5,000,000.  The respondent’s family members are in the category of small (2-3 people). The respondents mostly purchase the smoked catfish directly to the Wholesale/Dealer/Collector. The respondent’s purchasing decision is mostly affected by the following product attributes: packaging, point of sale location, and service offered by the seller. Plotting the product’s attributes in the Cartessian diagram shows that the first quadrant is filled by the following attributes: product’s aroma, brand, price, and smoked fish color. The second quadrant is described by hygienic properties, weight per pack, taste, and saltiness property. Meanwhile, for the third quadrant is positioned by the products’s nutrition information and labeling; as well as for the fourth quadrant is the location of sales, service sales, and forms of packaging. Based on the analysis of Fishbein’s Multiatributes, the respondent’s attitude is considered as fairly-good on the multiattributes categorical approach. Abstract

Agricultural development with a focus on the development of processing industries base on agriculture products to in order accommodate raw materials of agriculture products and could absorb labor .This study aims to determine how internal and external factor agro-industry entrepreneurs, knowing how entrepreneurial behavior and performance of agro-industry enterprises. The location of this research in the city of Pekanbaru.The collection of data in this study using the method of survey.the sample in this research totaled 140 respondents. The data were analyzed using descriptive method. Data analysis result obtained from that internal factors of industrial entrepreneurs quite well with a value score of 3,14. External factors the businessman less good agro-indutries with a value score of 2,57. Entrepreneurial behavior of employers of agro-industries with a value of 3,88. The performance of venture entrepreneur agro-industries quite well with a value score of 3,07. Internal and external factors of agro-industries entrepreneurs can be enhanced by providing support to entrepreneurs in agro-industries such as providing counseling and training assistance-help needed by entrepreneurs in agro-industries and so created a better entrepreneurial behavior. Abstract

Pasar Buah Sudirman is a well-known fruit-store in Pekanbaru. However, to gain the loyalty of shoppers, Pasar Buah Sudirman must appeal to consumers’ social motives and experiential needs, not simply provide access to desired goods. In response to changing consumer needs, the store has grown larger and metamorphed into a convenience of one-stop shopping, to include service outlets and providing daily needs goods, not only fruits, at the store. Therefore, research was aimed to study: (1) the factors that configuring customer satisfaction in Pasar Buah Sudirman, (2) what factors that configuring customer’s loyalty of Pasar Buah  Sudirman.  This research was held in two months between May – July 2014. This research was performed by applying convenience random sampling method. The sample size was 150 respondents that shopped more than twice to the targeting store. Data were analyzed by principle component analysis (PCA). The results show from 24 attributes used in the analysis of components of PCA with factor analysis are adequate for further analysis as the 'key factors' to represent the characteristic profile of Pasar Buah Sudirman’s costumers. The 8 variables, then, can be classified as: Product Quality, Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, Tangible, Empathy, Costumers' satisfaction, and Costumers' Loyalty, consistent with previous researches. Other findings from this research were:  (1) the respondents were satisfied with the decision to shop and never complain with product. (2) the factors that configuring costumer’s loyalty were respondents determination to shop in Pasar Buah Sudirman, retention, repetition and referral to others. Abstract

In some countries, particularly developing countries, agroindustry is considered one of its driving force in the economy of the country. This research aims to analyze the role of agroindustry sector to the economy of lower Rokan through input-output structure of the review. The data used in this research in the form of input-output table on the basis of producer price in 2011 with 18 x 18 classification of sectors and sourced from Bappeda of Kabupaten Rokan Hilir. The research results showed: First, agroindustry have a high role to the economy of Kabupaten Rokan Hilir. The two sectors of the agro-industries which have a high contribution of the industrial sector is in a row of wood, sawn and processed, the industrial sector of food, beverages and tobacco. Second, from the output’s side, a component of the establishment of agro-industries sector output was more driven by investment, followed by exports and consumption. Third, from the input’s side, the sectors of agro-industries are more driven by the producer surplus, folowed by wage-salaries and intermediate input. Based on these result, in order to encourage economic growth in agro-industries then it needs to be an effort to increase investment either by government or businessmen through the accumulation of capital comes from the surplus business. One of attempts to increased the investment is accumulation of capital source from producer surplus. Keywords: the role of agroindustry sector, input-output table, producer surplus
