Abstract

The paper presents the effectiveness of voltage stability indices for dynamic power system modelling study in providing information about the proximity of voltage collapse in power system. Four simple stability indices as Voltage Instability Predictor (VIP), Impedance Stability Index (ISI), Line Index (L index) and Voltage Collapse Prediction Index (VCPI) are compared using WSCC 9 bus test system. The comparison show the ISI and VCPI are much more reliable indicator, give the fast indication and fast time computation than L index for voltage collapse in dynamics voltage collapse prediction.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study optimal size and placement of shunt capacitor in order to minimize line loss. Derivative load bus voltage was calculated to determine the sensitive load buses which further being optimum with the placement of shunt capacitor. Particle swarm optimization (PSO) was demonstrated on the IEEE 14 bus power system to find optimum size of shunt capacitor in reducing line loss. The objective function was applied to determine the proper placement of capacitor and get satisfied solutions towards constraints. The simulation was run over Matlab under two scenarios namely base case and increasing 100% load. Derivative load bus voltage was simulated to determine the most sensitive load bus. PSO was carried out to determine the optimum sizing of shunt capacitor at the most sensitive bus. The results have been determined that the most sensitive bus was bus number 14 for the base case and increasing 100% load. The optimum sizing was 8.17 Mvar for the base case and 23.98 Mvar for increasing load about 100%. Line losses were able to reduce approximately 0.98% for the base case and increasing 100% load reduced about 3.16%. The proposed method was also proven as a better result compared with harmony search algorithm (HSA) method. HSA method recorded loss reduction ratio about 0.44% for the base case and 2.67% when the load was increased by 100% while PSO calculated loss reduction ratio about 1.12% and 4.02% for the base case and increasing 100% load respectively. The result of this study will support the previous study and it is concluded that PSO was successfully able to solve some engineering problems as well as to find a solution in determining shunt capacitor sizing on the power system simply and accurately compared with other evolutionary optimization methods.

The purpose of this service program is to introduce coomunity in Magetan Regency to electric vehicle technology. The material presented is basic material covering the meaning, benefits, and components of electric vehicles using developing charging system prototipe. people who visit the Refugia Garden are asked to immediately try the electric vehicle and after completion are asked to carry out the charging process themselves. Abstract

AbstrakPantai Losari merupakan sebuah kawasan wisata yang menjadi favorit warga Makassar untuk menghabiskan waktubersama, apalagi di waktu sore maupun akhir pecan. Tidak ada bentangan hamparan pasir di sini, yang ada hanyalah beragam fasilitas serta ornamen-ornamen yang ikonik dan biasanya dijadikan lokasi untuk berfoto. Mitigasi Bencana tsunami adalah serangkaian upaya untuk mengurangi risiko bencana tsunami, baik melalui pembangunan fisik maupun penyadaran dan peningkatan kemampuan menghadapi ancaman bencana. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapat informasi tentang Evaluasi Mitigasi Bencana Tsunami di Pesisir Pantai Losari di Kota Makassar, Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Jenis dari penelitian ini adalah deskriptif. Wilayah penelitian didasarkan dari peta topografi dan peta kepadatan penduduk maka didapatkan kota Makassar, Sulawesi Selatan. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah secara purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan identifikasi, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Upaya mitigasi dapat berupa pemetaan kawasan rawan tsunami, pembuatan green belt di kawasan pantai, penataan tata ruang, dan sistem peringatan dini bencana tsunami.Kata Kunci: Mitigasi Bencana, Pantai Losari, Desa Maloku, Tsunami, Evakuasi, SENSISTEK

Abstract

Electric vehicles are developing rapidly and require technological support. Electric vehicles require good power storage. One of the reasonable parameters of a battery pack is its high discharge capability. A high discharge rate requires suitable cell and heat management capabilities in the battery pack. When discharging, it produces heat energy and needs to be released. The battery thermal management system (BTMS) is a method used to maintain battery heat. BTMS using liquid has a better performance compared to phase-change memory (PCM) and air cooling. The use of liquid coolers still has limitations. Namely, the weight of the cooling system is quite large because of a large amount of liquid which increases the weight of the battery. This study offers the potential to use mini channels mounted on cooling plates for application as BTMS. This research used the finite element method (FEM) process by simulating the process of fluid flow that occurs when the battery is used at various C rates. The results of this study indicate that the type of BTMS can keep the battery hot at working temperatures below 40 ºC.

Abstract

The extraordinary growth in means of transportation, especially vehicles with internal combustion engines, has made state laws and regulations increasingly stringent. Regulations regarding energy consumption used for passenger and personal mobility and the emissions produced in order to reduce pollution. A hybrid vehicle combines two energies produced from various sources such as an ICE and an electric motor to become a hybrid electric vehicle (HEV). This research discusses hybrid electric vehicles on 2-wheeled vehicles which can be used as a solution that can be developed further before pure electric vehicles (EV) replace motorized vehicles (ICE). This research was done experimentally, by carrying out tests on a dynamometer and on the road testing. The main material used in this research was a Honda PCX 150 vehicle. The results of the test on the dynamometer showed that the performance of the internal combustion engine (ICE) had a torque of 11.12 Nm and a power of 8.20 kW at 7000 rpm. Testing the electric motor (EV), obtained torque results of 11.7 Nm and 2.33 kW power. The road test results for internal combustion engine consumption to consume 1 liter of fuel, capable of covering a distance of 54.55 km. Electricity consumption from 100% to 0% SOC can cover a distance of 46.31 km. Hybrid consumption 1 liter of fuel and battery full 100% capable of covering a distance 57.79 km, with battery condition reduced 16%.

Abstract

Making efficient batteries is important nowadays. One potential problem that can hinder this is the thermal runaway that occurs in battery cells. There are various causes of thermal runaway, one of the most common is an increase in temperature that exceeds the optimal allowable limit. Additional cooling will be required in vehicles that use batteries. Battery Thermal Management System (BTMS) with mini-channel cooling plate is one of the methods often used to maintain battery performance. In this study, the performance of Lithium-ion batteries is affected by fluid flow velocity. The experimental process was carried out by charging and discharging with a C-rate of 1C. Cooling is done with ethylene glycol fluid with fluid velocity variations of 0.21 L/min; 0.42 L/min and 0.63 L/min. The results show that fluid flow velocity affects the final battery temperature and battery performance. The optimal fluid velocity is shown at 4.2 L/min. At this speed it can reduce the battery temperature by 6.7°C.

Abstract

Guru – guru di Yayasan Al-Hira Permata Nadirah belum menguasai media pembelajaran berbasis TIK sepenuhnya, hal ini disebabkan terbatasnya pengetahuan yang dimiliki. Penggunaan canva merupakan solusi yang ditawarkan terhadap permasalahan yang dihadapi. dalam pembuatan berbagai jenis media pembelajaran. Tahapan kegiatan pengabdian yaitu: 1. Sosialisasi jenis media pembelajaran dan edukasi menggunakan canva; dan 2. Pelatihan pembuatan beberapa media pembelajaran dengan menggunakan canva. Kegiatan ini bertujuan guru – guru memiliki pengetahuan dan mahir dalam membuat berbagai media pembelajaran melalui canva. Adapun hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan pengabdian ini, guru – guru: 1. Memahami bahwa dengan menggunakan canva bisa membuat media pembelajaran dan 2. Mahir membuat berbagai media pembelajaran dari canva seperti handout dan video pembelajaran. Abstract

The increasing demand for reliable lithium-ion battery in various applications is focused on the need for accurate State of Health (SOH) predictions to prevent performance degradation and potential safety risks. Therefore, this research aimed to improve the accuracy of SOH prediction by integrating Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) with Support Vector Machine (SVM) to overcome the overfitting problem in traditional machine learning models. The dataset used consisted of data from 1000 cycles of lithium-ion battery, collected under laboratory conditions. Data from lithium-ion battery cycles were analyzed using optimized PSO-SVM and ACO-SVM models. These models were evaluated using Mean Square Error (MSE) and Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) metrics, showing significant improvements in prediction accuracy and model generalization. The results showed that although both optimized models were superior to the baseline SVM, PSO-SVM had higher generalization performance during testing. The higher performance was due to the effective balance between exploring the search space and exploiting optimal solutions, making it more suitable for real-world applications. In comparison, ACO-SVM showed superior performance in training data accuracy but was more prone to overfitting, suggesting the potential for scenarios prioritizing high training accuracy. These results could be applied to extend the lifespan of lithium-ion battery, contributing to enhanced reliability and cost-effectiveness in applications.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how the performance of the Batam City Population and Civil Registry Service in carrying out the service of making death certificates and birth certificates in Batam City. From the research carried out, there are data explaining the problems that occur in the service of making death certificates and birth certificates such as public complaints about inadequate services obtained by the community and also related to the quality of the performance of the Batam City Population and Civil Registry Office. How the implementation of the services provided must be able to achieve standards and produce effective and efficient performance in carrying out their duties. The method used in this research is quantitative research with a descriptive approach. Informants who were takenby researchers from the Batam City Population and Civil Registry Office and people who used the services of making death certificates and birth certificates. Researchers collect data from direct observation down to the field of interviews and documentation as well as information obtained from journals and books. The results obtained from this study can be concluded that the Batam City Population and Civil Registry Service has provided good services but there are some things that need to be improved, especially the awareness and responsibility of the resources that provide services. This can be found in Dwiyanto and Pasolong's theory of performance indicators, such as accountability, service quality, responsiveness, responsibility, and accountability
