Abstract

This study explores the implementation of character education among students in the distinguished and regular programs at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Cirebon. Utilizing a qualitative approach, the research evaluates the effectiveness of the character education program, identifies differences between the two programs, and examines their impact on students' moral and ethical development. The findings aim to provide insights for developing more holistic character education strategies within educational institutions.

Abstract

The tobacco plant is one of the plants cultivated in Kebumen Regency because it has high economic value compared to other plants. The varieties planted by farmers still use local varieties, namely Jero-Jlegi and Onthel. This variety has yet to be characterized, even though this tobacco plant is familiar to Kebumen farmers. The purpose of this study was to characterize morphologically and agronomically, namely, the production of local varieties of tobacco plants in Kebumen Regency, as an effort to preserve germplasm. The research was conducted in Peniron Village, Pejagoan District, Kebumen Regency. The results showed that the Jero-Jlegi variety tobacco plants had a plant height to the top leaf of 125cm, a plant height to a stem of 70 cm, a stem diameter of 2.5cm-3cm, a leaf length of 61cm, a leaf width of 36cm, a crown width of 109cm and a total of 10 leaves. The Onthel tobacco variety has a plant height to the top leaf of 131cm, a plant height to a stem of 66 cm, a stem diameter of 3cm, a leaf length of 67cm, a leaf width of 40cm, a crown width of 136cm and a total of 9 leaves. Ha) higher than the Onthel tobacco variety, 18.4 tons/day. Characterizing a plant will be very useful in selecting elders in a plant breeding program based on the variety's description. Abstract

Pupil interest plays a significant role in their level of engagement in the classroom, and engaged pupils have a higher chance of academic achievement. To gather pertinent data and data sources for this work, a qualitative technique connected to descriptive analysis is employed. Researchers used theories from different publications to conduct literature reviews to gather data sources, which they subsequently processed through analysis and conclusion-making. When children receive positive praise and encouragement from their parents at school, it can help them progress toward more good experiences. The interest of students in learning will grow as a result. Thus, it can be said that there is a strong correlation between pupils’ desire in studying and parental support.

Abstract

Abstract Indonesian Migrant Workers (IMW) in the Johor Bahru region of Malaysia as community service partners, face problems related to the quality of personal and environmental health due to workplace conditions, limited health facilities and infrastructure, lack of knowledge, understanding, insight and awareness of Indonesian migrant workers to want to practice cleanliness and healthy living behavior. This health quality problem has an impact on the quality of life of migrant workers in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. In order and in an effort to increase the knowledge, insight and awareness of Indonesian migrant workers in the Johor Bahru region towards a clean and healthy quality of life which includes self, family, community and the environment, this community service activity is carried out in collaboration with LPPM-ALPTKNI and collaborating with one of the universities in Johor, namely Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM). This activity will also support the efforts of the Indonesian Community Center (ICC) by the Indonesian Consulate General in Johor Bahru to empower Indonesian migrant workers in Malaysia. The approach to partners was carried out using an institutional approach to obtain accurate data about IMW conditions at the location. Partner participation is carried out with the Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) program which is implemented within 1-2 days. The methods used in training are seminars/workshops and mentoring. This service activity aims to: 1) increase knowledge, understanding, insight and awareness of IMW to want to adopt clean and healthy living behavior; 2) increase understanding of behavior and awareness of the importance of maintaining a healthy environment for a better quality of life. Abstrak Pekerja Migran Indonesia (IMW) di wilayah Johor Bahru Malaysia sebagai mitra pengabdian masyarakat, menghadapi permasalahan terkait kualitas kesehatan diri dan lingkungan akibat kondisi tempat kerja, sarana dan prasarana kesehatan yang terbatas, kurangnya pengetahuan, pemahaman, wawasan, dan kesadaran pekerja migran Indonesia untuk ingin melakukan kebersihan dan sehat perilaku hidup. Masalah kualitas kesehatan ini berdampak pada kualitas hidup pekerja migran di Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Dalam rangka dan upaya meningkatkan pengetahuan, wawasan, dan kesadaran para pekerja migran Indonesia di wilayah Johor Bahru terhadap kualitas hidup yang bersih dan sehat yang meliputi diri sendiri, keluarga, masyarakat, dan lingkungan, kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan bekerja sama dengan LPPM-ALPTKNI dan bekerja sama dengan salah satu perguruan tinggi di Johor, yaitu Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM). Kegiatan ini juga akan mendukung upaya Indonesian Community Center (ICC) oleh KJRI Johor Bahru dalam rangka pemberdayaan pekerja migran Indonesia di Malaysia. Pendekatan kepada mitra dilakukan dengan pendekatan kelembagaan untuk mendapatkan data yang akurat tentang kondisi IMW di lokasi. Partisipasi mitra dilakukan dengan program Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS) yang dilaksanakan dalam waktu 1-2 hari. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan adalah seminar/workshop dan pendampingan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) meningkatkan pengetahuan, pemahaman, wawasan, dan kesadaran IMW untuk ingin melakukan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat; 2) meningkatkan pemahaman perilaku dan kesadaran akan pentingnya menjaga lingkungan yang sehat demi kualitas hidup yang lebih baik.

Abstract

MAN 2 Kulon Progo is one of the madrasahs in Kulon Progo that has various extracurricular activities. In the 2023/2024 academic year, MAN 2 Kulon Progo has 24 extracurricular activities. The large number of extracurricular activities certainly attracts students' attention, but the large number of extracurricular activities makes it difficult for the school to record student data, manage extracurricular activities, and there is a risk of errors in data recording. Based on these problems, a web and mobile-based extracurricular management application was built. The purpose of this study is to build an extracurricular management application that can be used by students to register for extracurricular activities and get information about extracurricular activities, extracurricular supervisors can easily manage student data, and extracurricular teachers can manage extracurricular activities more easily.

Abstract

The research aims (1) to determine the performance of the Salak level III hospital before and after the implementation of the BLU financial management pattern (2) to find out whether there are significant differences before and after the implementation of the BLU financial pattern (3) To find out the obstacles that arise in implementing BLU in level hospitals III Salak Bogor. This research uses comparative descriptive research with a quantitative approach, namely comparing financial performance ratios before and after the implementation of the BLU financial pattern including cash ratio, current ratio, receivables collection period ratio, fixed asset turnover ratio, fixed asset return ratio, return on equity ratio and income ratio. PNBP on operational costs. The results of research on financial performance after BLU experienced a significant increase except for the asset turnover ratio. Innovation is needed to find and develop resources to improve financial performance

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relevance of the first principle of Pancasila in supporting diversity and the role of the state in maintaining harmony of diversity in Indonesia. The method used is a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the First Principle, "Belief in the One and Only God," supports diversity in Indonesia by emphasizing the value of inclusivity that promotes tolerance, respect, and recognition of various religions, cultures, and traditions. This supports the principle of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, making diversity a unifying force for the nation. In addition, the state has a strategic role in maintaining harmony of diversity through regulations that ensure religious freedom, law enforcement against intolerance, and the development of multicultural education. Although challenges such as radicalism and intolerance remain, collaboration between the government and society is essential to realize social harmony in accordance with the values of the First Principle in Pancasila.

Abstract

Peningkatan sikap disiplin dapat dilakukan melalui pembiasaan secara rutin dilakukan dan contoh dan teladan yang baik dari guru. Pembiasaan merupakan cara yang dapat dilakukan dalam membentuk karakter pada anak salah satunya melalui pembiasaan shalat dhuha. Dalam usaha meningkatkan kedisiplinan siswa dapat melalui kegiatan sholat Dhuha berjamaah secara rutin yang dilaksanakan setiap pagi sebelum masuk proses pembelajaran. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu agar meningkatnya kedisiplinan siswa melalui kegiatan keagaaman yang secara rutin dilaksanakan di sekolah dengan melakukan pembiasaan shalat dhuha berjamaah. Penelitian ini juga diharapkan dapat memberikan motivasi kepada lembaga madrasah yang lain untuk menerapkan kegiatan keagaaman seperti pembiasaan shalat dhuha berjamaah dapat meningkatkan kedisiplinan siswa. Adapun Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian kajian literatur dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan studi kepustakaan artikel dan jurnal yang sesuai fokus kajian. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Pembiasaan shalat dhuha yang dilakukan di sekolah dilaksanakan di lapangan sekolah yang dipimpin oleh guru. Dengan adanya pembiasaan solat dhuha berjamaah dapat meningkatkan kedisiplinan siswa di sekolah.

Abstract

Mahmud Darwisy is a Palestinian poet who has become a Palestinian icon. One of his early poetry collections was Awraq Al-Zaytun (Olive Trees) which included a poetry entitled Bithaqah Hawiyyah (Identity Card). This poetry has a magical power that is strong enough to describe Mahmud Darwisy's nationalism and the struggle of the Palestinian people to reclaim their homeland which has been colonized by Israel. The theory used is Riffaterre's semiotic in analyzing this poetry. This research aims to find the elements and forms of nationalism in Bithaqah Hawiyyah’s poetry. The method used is the descriptive-analysis. The conclusion from a semiotic reading of Bithaqah Hawiyyah's poetry is the fighting or nationalist spirit of the Palestinian people in reclaiming the Palestinian homeland which had been colonized by Israel. The elements of nationalism contained in this poetry are (1) the desire to achieve unity; (2) the desire to achieve independence; (3) the desire to achieve loyalty; (4) the desire to maintain national honor. Furthermore, the forms of nationalism contained in this poetry are (1) civic nationalism and (2) state nationalism. Keywords: Mahmud Darwisy, Poetry, Riffaterre Semiotics, Nationalism.

Abstract

This study aims to produce teaching materials in the form of LKPD analyzing the elements of poetry building based on character education. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model used to develop teaching materials in the form of LKPD analyzing the elements of poetry building based on character education. The population and sample or research subjects were students of SMA Negeri 4 Lubuklinggau City, precisely class X.9. Data collection techniques in this study were tests, interviews and questionnaires. While the data analysis technique for validity used Aiken's V, practicality used a Likert scale, and effectiveness used the N-gain score.
