The methodused is the method of experiment by using RAL with 3 treatments and 3 replications thatis feeding trash fish (P1), feeding chicken intestine (P2), and feeding shellfish seashell(P3). Data were analyzed using ANOVA (P <0.05). Test materials were used as much as36 crabs were maintained with the battery system inside a cages measuring 60 x 35 x 17cm3. Cages divided into 4 sections by placing bamboo as a divider so that 1 basketcontains 4 crabs. Abstract

A feeding experiment was conducted to determine the optimal dose of growth and survival rate for larval perch (Lates calcarifer). Larval initial average weight 0,022 g, initial average body length 7,38 mm and old 15 days. Completely randomized design with five treachments and three replications were use : A (naupli artemia), B (naupli artemia + squalene 0,3 g/L), C (naupli artemia + squalene 0,6 g/L), D (naupli artemia + squalene 0,9 g/L), E (naupli artemia + squalene 1,2 g/L). The results showed that the growth in survival rate, growth of body weight (AW), and growth of body length(AL). Based on the evaluation of the some parameters ; SR (80,6%), AW(0,813 g) AL (3,21 cm)and SGR (16,1 % day). It can be concluded that treatment D (naupli + squalene 0,9 g/L) is optimal for growth and survival rate for larval perch (Lates calcarifer).Key words : Lates calcarifer, different dose, enriched by squalene

Abstract

Abstract

The study was conducted from 1 th of March to 16 th April 2017 at the Center for Research and Cultivation of Ornamental Fish (BRBIH), Depok West Java Province. Which aims to determine the best natural food for growth and survival of Black Ghost fish (Apteronotus albifront). The method used was experimental method with Randomized Complete Design, with 3 treatment levels and 4 replications, ie P1 (Tubifex sp), P2 (Moina sp), P3 (Culex sp). The maintenance container used was an aquarium of 40 cm x 30 cm x 30 cm (24 liters of water), with a stagnant system. Fish used as 50fish/aquaria, fish fed 3 times a day. Growth sampling was done at the beginning and every 10 days. Measurement of water quality parameters include physics and chemistry ie Temperature, pH, DO, Ammonia, Nitrite and Nitrate. The results showed that feeding ofTubifex sp gave the best result of absolute long growth of 4.4 cm, absolute weight growth 1.38 g, spesific growth rate of 5.3% , survival rate 74%.

Abstract

This research was conducted on April 20th to June 3rd, 2017 in the Hatchery Hall TIU (Technical Implementation Unit) of Aquaculture Major Marine and Fishery Faculty, Riau University, Riau Province. The aim of the study was to know the effect of different feeding type toward the growth performance and survival rate of Pangasius polyuranodon, Blkr. The method was using the experimental method with four treatment levels and three replication, the treatments were Tubifex sp. (P1), feed with Tubifex sp. + Pelet + Tubifex sp. (P2), feed with Pelet + Tubifex sp. + Pelet (P3), and feed with only Pelet (P4). The data were analyzed by using ANOVA (P <0,05). The material was 60 fries of Pangasius polyuranodon which were rearing in the 12 aerated aquariums that covered with black plastic from all side. The filter materials were zeolite stone and spons.   The results were shown that the feed type using Tubifex sp. (P1) gave the best result with absolute weight growth 4,19 gram, specific growth rate 1,10%, absolute length growth 2,79 cm, and the survival rate was 80%. The water quality measurements were temperature was around 27-30oC, dissolved oxygen (DO) was around 5,01-6,14 mg/L, pH 6,4-7,4 and Ammonia was around 0,001-0,056 mg/L.
