Abstract

This research is motivated from one effort to maintain and preserve Hata Pangupa part of oral literature Mandailing, especially in Kotanopan Setia Kampong, Nagari Lansek Kadok, Kecamatan Rao Selatan  Kabupaten Pasaman. Discussion of this research is Hata Pangupa in the Upa - Upa the wedding ceremony. Some research results on Hata Pangupa at the wedding ceremony, namely: ( 1 ) the context of oral literature Hata Pangupa spoken in Kotanopan Setia Kampong, Nagari Lansek Kadok, Kecamatan Rao Selatan, Kabupaten Pasaman. Elements of the show, the speakers, ritual instruments, place and time of the narrative, atmosphere and management of the wedding ceremony, as well as the Upa - Upa wedding participants; (2 ) the form of a long poem in the form of text edits are accompanied by translations; (3) HataPangupa as along poem with the characteristics, namely: priority to the use of language rhythm, similar sound repetitive or have poetry, as well as repeat a picture with various similar parables, and (4) function Hata Pangupa in Kotanopan Setia Kampong, namely: didaktif function, aesthetic function, the function of moral, and religious functions, as well as teaching values contained in Hata Pangupa, namely: obedience to God, obedience to parents and customs regulations, settle down and get along in society, always doing good, going to work, having responsibilities, and likes to work together and helping each other.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the use of figure of speech writers short stories collected in short story anthologies Laurin fingers . Formulation of the problem in this research is " how the use of figure of speech in a short story anthology Laurin fingers " ? The purpose of this study was to describe the use of figure of speech in the Short Story Anthology fingers Laurin and the dominant figure of speech to describe the short story anthology Laurin fingers . This research is descriptive qualitative research method . The data in this study is a figure of speech figure of speech consisting of comparison , figure of speech conflict , majas engagement , and the figure of speech repetition or affirmation . Sources of data are contained in twenty short stories Short Story Anthology Laurin fingers . Stages of the research done by : ( 1 ) read the short story anthology fingers Laurin , (2 ) literature to find references , guidelines , or references relating to the purposes of the study , (3 ) classifying the data , (4 ) analyzing the data , (5 ) conduct validation of data , (6 ) research concluded , and ( 7 ) writing research reports . In the short story anthology Laurin fingers are 8 kinds of figure of speech . The figure of speech is the personification of 30 times ; figure of speech hyperbole as much as 11 times ; metaphorical figure of speech as much as 6 times ; majas ellipsis 2 times ; simile figure of speech as much as 6 times , as well as sarcasm figure of speech , allusions , and cynicism as much as 1 times . Total use figure of speech in the Short Story Anthology fingers Laurin is 58 times . The dominant figure of speech in a short story anthology is a figure of speech personification Laurin fingers 30 times

Abstract

The phrase speech ban is believed to contain a ban if not complied with will be rewarded . Ban expression can be used to educate members of the public to know the manners of behaving . If only given a warning by regular expressions , they did not heed it . Ban any expression that is accompanied by rewards , then they will stick with it . Social functions contained in the prohibition of expression should be preserved because it is enrich with Minangkabau .This study aims to describe the expression of a ban on the social function Lansek Kadok Nagari , District of South Rao , Pasaman . Type of this research is descriptive qualitative research method . The theory used in this research is partly verbal folklore . Data collection is done by : ( 1 ) the situation of the environment and conditions of speakers , (2 ) conduct interviews and record phrases delivered ban speakers using an audio recorder , and ( 3 ) record the biodata speakers .Based on the research findings and discussion summarized as follows . Found 44 ban on public expression Lansek Kadok South Rao Pasaman . In the words of as many as 5 tesebut ban ban expression that has the social function of religion or belief emotion thickening , 21 idiom ban that has the social function of education of children and adolescents , and as many as 18 expressions ban which has a social function explanation acceptable reason some folk .

Abstract

This research is motivated obedience and Nuria Mariamin figure in their life that is fraught with difficulties. This study measures the extent to which religious values such as faith, morals, and character sharia  in everyday life. The purpose of this study is to describe and explain the application of the values of faith, morals, and sharia contained in the novel Azab and Passion works Merari Siregar.            This research is a qualitative study using descreptive  analytical method. Stages of the research done by: (1) read and understand the novel Azab dan Passion works Merari Siregar; (2) literature study to obtain reference books or reference books or reference related to the purposes of the study; (3) Mengiventarisasi the data related to faith, morals, and sharia; (4) to classify the data according to the format of the data inverentasi; (5) writing research reports.            After doing research on novel Azab and Passion works Merari Siregar obtained the following results: (1) the problem of islamic creed, which seek refuge and reliefe, resignation and surrender; (2) moral issues, moral concerns: (a) to God, ie pray, give thanks, and istigfar; (b) to his fellow man, the humble’ (humble), trustworthy, patient, forgiving, and noble attiude; (c) to the family, which is devoted to the father and mother, wife against husband’s attitude, and the attitude of the parents towards the child. (3) problems sharia (Islamic law), namely prayer, zakat, munakahat (marriage), mawaris and testament. Based on the above research, the advice contained in the novel Azab dan Passion in particular the Muslims (Muslims) to want to learn, expolore, understand, and Islamic teachings contained in this novel to be practied in daily life.

Abstract

This examination is bacground by three problems. First, students capable less to write argumentative opus, second, students don’t have ability to pour  idea in form argumentative opus, tird use methode not interesting, this examination have gaal to description the ability to write argumentative opus students class x senior high school Negeri 1 Pasaman with use modeling technic, kind of examination is kuantitative examination with descriptive methode, population of this examination students x class SMA Negeri 1 Pasaman have 245 students, the sample of examination have 37 people, from produce examination can know that ability to write argumentative opus students class x SMA Negeri 1 Pasaman with modeling technic are, first to indicator 1 (make the reader is believe) to get mean 98,22, perfect gualification, second indicator II (prave the truth one statetment) to get mean 93,86 with good gualification, third indicator III (change the reader opinion) mean 88,46 with better, generaly the ability to write argumentative opus students class X SMA Negeri 1 Pasaman with modeling technic qualificationis very good has mean governance student 93,24.

Abstract

Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah  majas yang terdiri dari majas perbandingan, majas pertentangan, majas pertautan, dan majas perulangan atau penegasan. Sumber data adalah duapuluh sembilan puisi siswa kelas VIII SMPN 3 Gunung Tuleh. penelitian ini dilakukan dengan langkah sebagai berikut: (1) membaca puisi siswa kelas VIII SMPN 3 Gunung Tuleh; (2) studi pustaka untuk mencari acuan, pedoman, atau referensi yang berkaitan dengan keperluan penelitian; (3) mengumpulkan data; (4) mengelompokkan data; (5) menganalisis data; (6) melakukan pengabsahan data; (7) menyimpulkan penelitian; dan (8) menulis laporan penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan penggunaan majas sebanyak 7 jenis majas. Majas tersebut yaitu majas asosiasi atau simile sebanyak 8 majas, majas metafora sebanyak 1 majas, majas personifikasi sebanyak 15 majas, majas alegori sebanyak 1 majas, majas hiperbola sebanyak 11 majas, majas klimaks sebanyak 3 majas, majas repetisi sebanyak 6 majas. Majas yang dominan dalam puisi siswa kelas VIII SMPN 3 Gunung Tuleh adalah majas personifikasi dan majas hiperbola.

Abstract

This research is motivated by adikodrati’s substance which can be found in many people story. Adikodrati (supernatural strength) is the important one of trust object in many religion all over the world and happened to all nature symptom example: (1) in human figure; (2) animal: (3) thing; also (4) at environment. This study examines the elements of supernatural which contained in Minangkabau folktales entitled kaba Cindur Mata title. This  research technique is data collection, validation of data and analyzing the data. This type of research is descriptive qualitative method. Descriptive method is used to describe the data existing currency figure in  Cindur Mata translation story A. Dt. Madjoindo like the element supernatural found in the human, animal, of object and natural environment. The study describes the results of discusses the supernatural element of the story Cindur Mata as follows. Extra ordinary human (magic) contained in the story Cindur Mata on character named Cindur Mata, Dang Tuanku, Tiang Bungkuk. Animals that have district are horse (Gumarang), buffalo (Binuang), and chicken (Kinantan). Magical objects are rare and may lead to the impression gained is keris bungkuk, percussion prohibition, amulet, boat and fire mirror (suryakanta). Natural environment or natural state generally has a large influence on the story Cindur Mata is single lightening and thunder.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tradisi merantau dan falosentrisme dalam legenda Minangkabau berjudul Malin Kundang dengan pendekatan feminisme. Legenda tersebut mengisahkan anak durhaka yang dikutuk oleh ibunya menjadi batu. Pengutukan itu seakan-akan mencerminkan kekuasaan seorang ibu atas anak laki-lakinya sebagai bentuk reperesentasi sistem matrilineal masyarakat Minangkabau. Namun, kebenaran matriarkat dalam karya sastra rakyat pada masyarakat matrilineal itu terbantahkan setelah mengkritisi legenda Malin Kundang. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi dengan teknik rekam dan catat. Analisis data menggunakan metode deskriptif analitik dengan teknik analisis kontens. Penelitian ini memanfaatkan kritik sastra feminis yang pada dasarnya merupakan kritik ideologis atas cara pandang yang mengabaikan permasalahan ketimpangan dan ketidakadilan dalam pemberian peran dan identitas sosial berdasarkan perbedaan jenis kelamin. Hasil pembahasan menguatkan hipotesis bahwa tidak satu pun wacana di dunia ini yang terbebas dari falogosentrisme, meskipun ideologi tersebut disamarkan melalui slogan-slogan kematrilinealan. Kritik feminisme dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis wacana Foucault, teori dekonstruksi Derrida, dan teori poskolonial Edward Said. Kritik feminisme membahas masalah gender, esensialisme dan konstruksi sosial, patriarkat dan falogosentrisme, serta wacana representasi dan resistensi.

Abstract

AbstractThis writing aimed to document the lyrical folk songs of Minangkabau and to investigate the functions contained in the songs anthropologically. Thus, this writing used the anthropological approach and the functions theory. Of all the kinds of folk songs, such as functional song, lyrical song, and narrative song, Minangkabau ethnic group owns lyrical song with many kinds of genre that still can be traced until now. This kind of folk songs relatively belongs to all sub-ethnic group (nagari) of Minangkabau. Some of the titles of the songs are “Kamang Bakayu” (The Kamang people collect firewood), “Bukik Apik Marandang Kopi” (The Bukit Apit people simmer coffee), “Solok Manuai” (The Solok people harvest rice), “Cupak Maambiak lado” (The Cupak people harvest chili), and “Guguak Manitik Ameh” (The Guguk people inlay jewel on gold). These song titles shows the sub-ethnic group or the region of living of every community in Minangkabau, also the occupation of the people have. The folk songs are tended to be extinct due to the active heirs are in old ages and the inheritance process is no longer happened, whereas the songs contains of functions that have benefits for their supporters. The functions themselves caused the popularity of the songs in the past.Keywords: folk songs, Minangkabau lyrical song, anthropological approach, and functions theoryAbstrakTulisan ini bertujuan mendokumentasikan nyanyian liris rakyat Minangkabau dan mengkaji fungsifungsi yang terkandung di dalamnya dalam kerangka antropologi. Dengan demikian, tulisan ini menggunakan pendekatan antropologis dan teori fungsi. Di antara jenis-jenis nyanyian rakyat, seperti Nyanyian Berfungsi, Nyanyian Liris, dan Nyanyian Kisahan, suku bangsa Minangkabau memiliki jenis Nyanyian Liris dengan berbagai ragam yang masih dapat ditelusuri hingga saat ini. Ragam nyanyian rakyat dimaksud relatif dimiliki oleh semua subsuku bangsa (nagari) di Minangkabau. Beberapa judul nyanyian tersebut di antaranya adalah “Kamang Bakayu” (Orang Kamang mengumpulkan kayu bakar), “Bukik Apik Marandang Kopi” (Orang Bukit Apit merendang kopi), “Solok Manuai” (Orang Solok menuai padi), “Cupak Maambiak Lado” (Orang Cupak memanen cabe), dan “Guguak Manitik Ameh” (Orang Guguk menatah/memasang permata pada emas). Juduljudul tersebut menunjukkan subsuku bangsa atau nagari tempat berdiam setiap kelompok masyarakat di Minangkabau serta mata pencaharian (jenis pekerjaan) yang mereka tekuni. Nyanyian rakyat tersebut dikhawatirkan akan punah karena pewaris aktifnya saat ini telah berusia lanjut dan proses pewarisan tidak berlangsung lagi. Padahal, nyanyian rakyat tersebut mengandung fungsi-fungsi yang sangat bermanfaat bagi khalayak pendukungnya. Fungsi-fungsi itulah yang menyebabkan nyanyian rakyat tersebut disukai dan popular pada suatu ketika di masa lalu.Kata Kunci: nyanyian rakyat, nyanyian liris Minangkabau, pendekatan antropologis, dan teori fungsi
