Abstract

Factors contributing to learning achievement and learning strategy for supporting students in functioning academically has remained a major theme in educational research. In this article, we put forth a metacognitive learning strategy in developing students’ academic self-concept and learning achievement. Seventy-two high school students were subjected to either metacognitive learning strategy or conventional learning strategy and their academic self-concept as well as learning achievement was then evaluated after learning. Metacognitive learning strategy significantly improved students’ academic self-concept and learning achievement. Interconnection between academic self-concept and learning achievement in metacognitive learning strategy scheme was also found.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap miskonsespsi siswa di beberapa SMAN se-Kota Tangerang Selatan pada konsep Fotosintesis dan Respirasi Tumbuhan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah survey. Pengambilan sampel yang dilakukan menggunakan teknik propotional stratified random sampling, sehingga didapatkan sampel dari strata atas, tengah dan bawah sebanyak 1 sekolah dengan masing-masing sekolah diambil 2 kelas. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa Tes Pilihan Ganda Beralasan Terbuka disertai kolom CRI. Dari penelitian ditemukan bahwa persentase siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi sebesar 37,69 % dan persentase tersebut lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan persentase siswa yang tidak tahu konsep. Miskonsepsi yang dialami siswa banyak terjadi pada waktu penggunaan gas untuk fotosintesis dan respirasi tumbuhan.

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of the study is to find out the implementation of environmental awareness attitude of senior high school students for ecology and environment pollution concept through the implementation of the society technology science (STS) model. The method used in this study was classroom action research (CAR), which comprised with two cycle. The result shows the achievement of the students’ environmental awareness attitude by implementing the STM model, based on the observation sheet, that in the cycle I, indicator 1 is 49%, indicator 2 is 71%, indicator 3 is 70%, and indicator 4 is 71%. Whereas, the achievement in cycle II is that indicator 1 is 51%, indicator 2 is 67%, indicator 3 is 77%, and indicator 4 is 76%. Based on questionnaire result, the students’ environmental awareness attitude in cycle I and cycle II have high category, with percentage 27,7% in cycle I and 97,9% in cycle II. The improvement treatment given in cycle II was beside nametag, the students were also given identity mark on their table to ease the assesment on the observation sheet. Beside that, only one group of students presented their results, while the others could give advices and questions. This improvement made the learning run more effectively and let the observer to assess more easily. Keywords: environmental awareness attitude; society technology science (STS); ecology and environment pollution Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penerapan sikap kepedulian lingkungan peserta didik SMA pada konsep ekologi dan pencemaran lingkungan melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Sains Teknologi Masyarakat (STM). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang terdiri atas dua siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ketercapaian sikap kepedulian lingkungan peserta didik dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran STM berdasarkan pada lembar observasi pada siklus I yaitu indikator 1 49%, indikator 2 71%, indikator 3 70%, dan indikator 4 71%. Sedangkan capaian pada siklus II adalah indikator 1 51%, indikator 2 67%, indikator 3 77%, dan indikator 4 76%. Berdasarkan hasil angket, sikap peduli terhadap lingkungan siswa pada siklus I memiliki kategori tinggi dengan persentase sebesar 27,7% dan pada siklus II sebesar 97,9%. Tindakan perbaikan yang dilakukan pada siklus II yaitu selain diberikan nametag, peserta didik juga diberikan tanda pengenal di meja kerjanya untuk memudahkan penilaian pada lembar observasi. Selain itu pada siklus II, hanya satu kelompok peserta didik yang mempresentasikan hasil data kelompoknya, sedangkan kelompok yang lain boleh menambahkan dan bertanya. Perbaikan ini membuat kegiatan pembelajaran yang dilakukan lebih efektif dan memudahkan observer untuk melakukan penilaian. Abstract

PENGARUH METODE PETA ARGUMEN DAN EFIKASI DIRI TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS  AbstractThe aim of this study is to know the effect of argument mapping method and self efficacy on critical thinking ability and interaction between argument mapping method and self efficacy on critical thinking ability. The method that used in this research is quasi experiment with 2 x 2 factorial design. The instruments that used in this research are critical thinking ability essay test and self efficacy questionnaire. The subject of this study is students of XI IPA 1 and 3 from SMAN in Jakarta totalling 72 students. Samples were taken using simple random sampling. Analysis of data used two way anova. The result showed that : 1) There is effect of argument mapping method on critical thinking ability with p< 0,05, p = 0,000. 2). There is effect of self efficacy on argument mapping method and self efficacy on critical thinking ability with p< 0,05, p = 0,000. 3) There is no interaction between argument mapping method and self efficacy on critical thinking ability with p> 0,05, p = 0,602.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode peta argumen dan efikasi diri terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis, serta interaksi antara pengaruh metode peta argumen dan efikasi diri terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain ANAVA dua arah dengan rancangan faktorial 2x2. Populasi penelitian ialah XI MIPA SMA Negeri di Jakarta dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak dua kelas, yaitu XI MIPA 1dan 3 yang berisi 72 peserta didik. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berupa tes uraian dan kuesioner efikasi diri. Berdasarkan analisis data hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat pengaruh metode peta argumen terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik dengan p<0,05, p = 0,00, (2) terdapat pengaruh efikasi diri terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik dengan p<0,05, p = 0,00, (3) tidak terdapat interaksi pengaruh metode peta argumen dan efikasi diri terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik dengan p>0,05, p = 0,602.

Abstract

STEM knowledge and skills are needed by students in order to survive in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. This study aims to determine the level of readiness of public high schools in Bogor City in implementing STEM education. Descriptive research with survey method with stratified sample selection. The number of samples is three principals, nine science teachers, and 75 students. The research instrument was in the form of a questionnaire assessing readiness from aspects of the curriculum, supporting extracurriculars, admission selection, and STEM supporting facilities as well as students' interest in STEM. Data analysis uses a modified readiness score according to Aydin & Tascy (2005). The findings of the study show that public high schools in the city of Bogor are ready to implement STEM education. Readiness to apply STEM education is shown by the Principal. Students also showed readiness to apply STEM education, but needed a little improvement. As for the teacher, it shows unpreparedness and needs improvement.PROFIL  KESIAPAN SEKOLAH SMA NEGERI KOTA BOGOR DALAM MENERAPKAN PENDIDIKAN STEM (SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, MATHEMATIC)AbstrakPengetahuan dan keterampilan STEM diperlukan peserta didik agar dapat bertahan pada era revolusi industry 4.0. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kesiapan sekolah SMA Negeri di Kota Bogor dalam menerapkan pendidikan STEM. Penelitian deskriptif dengan metode survei dengan pemilihan sampel secara stratafikasi.  Jumlah sampel adalah tiga orang kepala sekolah, sembilan orang guru Sains, dan 75 orang peserta didik. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket menilai kesiapan dari aspek kurikulum, ekstrakuler penunjang, seleksi masuk, dan fasilitas penunjang STEM serta minat peserta didik terhadap STEM.  Analisis data menggunakan skor kesiapan menurut Aydin & Tascy (2005) yang telah dimodifikasi. Temuan penelitian menunjukan SMA Negeri di Kota Bogor siap menerapkan pendidikan STEM. Kesiapan penerapan pendidikan STEM ditunjukkan oleh Kepala Sekolah.  Peserta didik pun menunjukkan kesiapan penerapan pendidikan STEM, namun perlu sedikit peningkatan.  Adapun dari guru, menunjukkan ketidaksiapan dan perlu peningkatan.How To Cite: Yanti, H., Amalia, U., Nurlela, A. A good implementation of Process Standard is a part of the effort to improve the quality of learning process. In Permendikbudristek No. 16 of 2022 regarding Process Standard, it is stated that learning is done in an interactive, inspiring, enjoyable, challenging and motivating environment for students. This type of learning had actually been initiated in the 2013 Curriculum through a scientific approach which proposes several learning models, namely discovery/inquiry learning and problem-based learning; such as problem-based learning (PBL) and project-based learning (PjBL). Therefore, this study aims to analyze the scientific approach in Biology learning as an implementation of Process Standard in Jakartan High Schools. Furthermore, this study used quantitative and qualitative methods as its approach. It found that teachers had implemented the scientific approach in their classrooms. However, results from students' perceptions showed the opposite. They stated that teachers did not effectively do “hands-on” activities through discovery/inquiry and PjBL. Moreover, this study suggests that the implementation of the Process Standard that have been effectively applied since the 2013 Curriculum needs to be maintained in Kurikulum Merdeka (in English: Emancipated Curriculum) because it is still relevant with the goals of Emancipated Curriculum. Finally, the findings of this study should be addressed so it can improve the implementation of Process Standard in the Emancipated Curriculum.

Abstract

Lesson study is applied as a method to improve the teaching skills of prospective teachers when teaching practice in schools. Indonesia uses the term School Field Introduction (PLP) for practical teaching activities in schools, while in Japan, the term On Job Training (OTJ) is used. This study aims to analyze the differences in lesson study methods practiced in universities in Indonesia and Japan, then adapts the lesson study method OTJ to apply in the PLP II course. The research method was carried out by direct and indirect observation. Indirect observation is through the YouTube channel of lesson study practices on PLP II at one of the universities. Direct observation and in-depth interviews were conducted with OTJ at Japan's Affiliated Toyama University Junior High School. The adaptation of the Japanese OTJ was carried out in three stages. The first was conducted in two schools in Jakarta and Depok, involving two teachers and eight students. The second and third were conducted in one school in Depok, involving one teacher and four students. The study results show differences between lessons developed in Indonesia and Japan. OTJ in Japan emphasizes collaboration and cooperation among prospective teacher in improving teaching skills. Meanwhile, in PLP in Indonesia, the emphasis is on collegiality among prospective teachers, tutor teachers, and supervisor lecturers. Applying the Japanese OTJ to PLP II in Biology Education showed that this method can increase prospective teacher-students’ confidence, improve creativity in teaching methods and media.

Abstract

Tiga langkah pembelajaran aktif adalah sebuah strategi pembelajaran yang membuat siswa aktifdan guru kreatij Tiga langkah pembelajaran ini meliputi eksplorasi, elaborasi, dan refleksi. Eksplorasi adalah kegiatan siswa untuk mengaktifkan pengetahuan awal mereka. Elaborasi adalah kegiatan siswa untuk membangun dan menerapkan pengetahuan awal Refleksi adalah kegiatanbersama antara guru dan siswa untuk membuat kesimpulan. Tiga langkah pembelajaran aktif ini didasarkan pada teori konstruktivisme. Ketiga langkah pembelajaran aktifini telah diterapkan di MI Asih Putera Cimahi. Sebanyak 54 siswa terlibat dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa lebih baik dari sebelum menrgunakan tiga langkah pembelajaran aktif Tiga langkah pembelajaran aktif disinergikan dengan perubahan konseptual menurut Posner (1982) yaitu intelligible, plausible, and fruitful. Pada penelitian ini tampak ketercapaian dari fruitful karena terwujudnya keterampilan proses sains pada tiga langkah pembelajaran aktif ini.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze Pedagogy Content Islamic Knowledge (PCIK) on the Indonesian Qualification Framework (IQF) in Biology Islamic Education Study Program. The competence in Pedagogy Content Knowledge (PCK) is the achievement of Biology Education Program. The challenge faced by Biology Islamic Education program which lies under Islamic colleges and universities is to combine the program with the knowledge of Islam. The graduates of Biology Islamic Education program are required to master the Pedagogy Content Islamic Knowledge (PCIK). PCIK analysis was conducted qualitatively on Biology Islamic Education curriculum document at three state Islamic universities in Indonesia. The subjects of the study were three heads of study program, fourteen lecturers, and sixteen students. In-depth interviews, questionnaires, and discussions were conducted on the subjects. The results showed that PCIK is conceptually and textually seen in three subjects, namely capita selecta, microteaching practice, and school field practice. PCIK appeared in the scientific process, i.e. critical reflective activity on the significance of natural phenomena created by God. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis Pedagogy Content Islamic Knowledge (PCIK) pada Kerangka Kualifikasi Nasional Indonesia (KKNI) Program Studi Tadris Biologi.  Kemampuan Pedagogy Content Knowledge (PCK) merupakan capaian Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi.  Bagi program studi Tadris Biologi di bawah naungan PTKI (Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam) memiliki tantangan satu tantangan lagi yaitu memadukan dengan pengetahuan islam.  Keluaran dari Tadris Biologi dituntut kemampuan Pedagogy Content Islamic Knowledge (PCIK).  Analisis PCIK dilakukan secara kualitatif terhadap dokumen kurikulum Tadris Biologi pada tiga UIN di Indonesia.  Selain itu dilakukan wawancara mendalam, pengisian angket, dan diskusi terpumpun bersama narasumber yaitu tiga orang ketua program studi,  empat belas dosen, dan enam belas mahasiswa.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan PCIK secara tekstual konseptual terlihat pada tiga matakuliah yaitu kapita selekta, praktik pengajaran mikro, dan praktik lapangan madrasah.  PCIK muncul pada proses sains berupa kegiatan reflektif kritis terhadap hakekat fenomena alam yang diciptakan oleh Alloh swt.  How to Cite : Herlanti, Y.
