Abstract

Abstrak:Etnomatematika menjadi kajian tren penelitian saat ini. Etnomatematika memberikan pengaruh positif dalam pembelajaran matematika dengan melibatkan potensi budaya. Matematika perlu dikomunikasikan dengan menyisipkan budaya sehingga siswa mudah memahami materi. Oleh karena itu, etnomatematika perlu diintegrasikan dengan suatu model pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran model probing-prompting berbasis etnomatematika yang dapat melatih komunikasi matematis siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan Instructional Development Institute (IDI) dengan tiga tahapan, yaitu menentukan, mengembangkan, dan mengevaluasi. Subjek penelitian adalah 30 siswa kelas 8 MTs Negeri Sidorejo Banyuwangi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket, observasi, lembar validasi, dan tes. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berupa kisi-kisi soal, soal tes, LKS, dan RPP. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif. Perangkat pembelajaran ini dapat digunakan guru untuk mengembangkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa.Abstract:Ethnomatematics becomes current study trend. It gives positive influence in learning mathematics by involving cultural potential. Mathematics needs to be communicated by integrating culture so that students easily understand the material. Therefore, ethnomatematics needs to be integrated with a learning model. Thus, the purpose of this study is to develop an ethnomatematics-based probing-prompting learning device that can train student’s mathematical communication. The study used a development model of the Instructional Development Institute (IDI) with three stages, namely defining, developing, and evaluating. The research subjects were 30 eighth grade students at MTs Negeri Sidorejo Banyuwangi. Data were collected through questionnaire, observation, validation sheet, and test. The learning device consists of the prediction of test problems, test problems, student’s worksheet, and lesson plan. The result of the study shows that the learning device fulfill valid, practical, and effective criterion. The learning device can be used by teachers to develop students' mathematical communication ability.

Abstract

This study aim to develop an application using visual basic programming to facilitate the formation of cooperative groups and to investigate the validity, effectiveness, and practicality of the development of this application. This research method including R&D performed with 6 stage, consists of: the potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, improved of design, and test products. The results showed that the yield of the IT media expert validation amounted to 82.5% and validation of learning experts is 92.86%. In addition, the results of the questionnaire responses test of subjects each amounted 83.33% for the first test subjects and 91.67% for the second test subjects. Seeing these findings, it can be concluded that the application of cooperative learning group formation using visual basic can be said to be very feasible to be used as a tool for the establishment of cooperative learning groups.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe students' learning trajectory to solving math problems based on student’s ability. The subject is 4th-gradestudents of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) K.H. Mas Mansyur Surabaya. The results obtained by learning trajectory are (1) high ability students, expressing the understanding of the problem orally and writing, plan two solutions process, choose to use multiples and sum between departure time and travel time, the subject re-examine every step in solving the problem. (2) medium ability students, expressing an understanding of the problem orally, planning a solution and implementing it until finding a solution, in re-examining the subject using factoring; and (3) low-ability students, expressing an understanding of the problem orally, planning a solution to finding a solution, then simply re-examining the steps taken in solving the problem.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students’ thinking process in solving the problems of generating function. This is a case study that classifies students into three categories: high, medium, and low. Subjects were asked to solve the problems then use think aloud to reveal their thinking process. The results show that in understanding the problem, using conceptual and procedural knowledge related to the problems, strategies, and experiences they have in solving similar problems between the three subjects is different. Subjects with high and medium capability are able to reveal the problem-solving component of Polya in detail, whereas low-ability subjects use only some of the problem-solving components of Polya.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan proses pengembangan pantun matematika guna mempertajam keterampilan literasi mahasiswa melalui service learning. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian pengembangan dengan tujuh tahapan. Penelitian ini melibatkan dua mahasiswa pendidikan matematika dan 19 siswa SMP Ma’arif Surabaya. Data penelitian ini diperoleh melalui catatan lapangan, lembar validasi, dan angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses pengembangan pantun matematika melalui tahap pengidentifikasian potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi desain, revisi desain, uji coba produk, dan uji coba pemakaian. Selain itu, kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan pantun matematika juga dideskripsikan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peningkatan motivasi dan koneksi matematis siswa SMP melalui pictorial riddle. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP Negeri 55 Surabaya. Subjek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ada 4 siswa. Pemilihan subjek dilakukan secara purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar angket motivasi, lembar tes koneksi matematis dan pedoman wawancara. Lembar angket motivasi berisi 15 pernyataan yang sesuai dengan indikator motivasi, lembar tes koneksi matematis berisi 3 soal yang sesuai dengan indikator koneksi matematis dan pedoman wawancara berisi 11 pertanyaan yang sesuai dengan indikator koneksi matematis. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket, tes dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data yaitu analisis hasil angket berdasarkan indikator motivasi, analisis hasil tes dan wawancara berdasarkan indikator koneksi matematis. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu motivasi dan koneksi matematis siswa mengalami peningkatan setelah penggunaan pictorial riddle. Peningkatan ini terlihat dari hasil angket motivasi dan hasil tes koneksi matematis yang menunjukkan terpenuhinya semua indikator motivasi dan koneksi matematis setelah penggunaan pictorial riddle.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran berupa Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) dan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) disesuaikan model accelerated learning dengan strategi firing line. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui 1) kevalidan RPP dan LKPD, 2) kepraktisan RPP dan LKPD, 3) keefektifan RPP dan LKPD, dan 4) disposisi matematis. RPP dan LKPD dikembangkan menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE yang meliputi fase analisis, fase perencanaan, fase pengembangan, fase penerapan, dan fase penilaian. Uji coba perangkat dilakukan pada tanggal 22 s.d 23 Agustus 2019 di MTsN 1 Kota Surabaya. Instrumen uji coba perangkat berupa lembar catatan lapangan, lembar angket validasi, lembar observasi dan lembar angket. Hasil analisis data berupa RPP dan LKPDdengan rata-rata secara berturut-turut 4,30 dan 4,31. RPP dan LKPD tergolong praktis dan mendapat nilai B (layak digunakan dengan sedikit revisi). Aktivitas siswa tergolong aktif,dengan rata-rata 89,58% pada pertemuan pertama dan rata-rata pertemuan kedua sebesar 93,50%, Selain itu, dilihat dari keterlaksanaan sintaksnya, kedua pertemuan memperoleh rata-rata sebesar 80% dan 84,71%. Selain itu, RPP dan LKPD yang dikembangkan tergolong efektif. Dengan demikian, disposisi matematis pada mayoritas siswa kelas VIII H MTsN 1 Kota Surabaya tergolong cukup baik.

Abstract

This study describes developing numeration questions based on the context of Javanese primbon cultural values are valid. The questions are developed using the first three of the ADDIE method, analysis, design, and development. The validity is focused on four aspects, instruction, contents, construct, and language. The validating questions are three items of numeration questions in the form of complex multiple-choice questions. The validators in this research are four experts from Mathematics Education and Test/Evaluation Development. Results of the study show that the numeracy questions based on the context of Javanese primbon cultural values are valid with a score of 0.82. The final product is the prototype II is built upon the expert notion.

Abstract

Game Penjelajah Ruang (The Space Exploration Game, Ganjaran) is a learning media in the form of an Android-based educational game to practice the mathematical reasoning skills of class VIII students on SPLDV questions. The purpose of this study was to describe students' mathematical reasoning abilities in solving SPLDV questions on Android-based of Ganjaran. The students' mathematical reasoning ability can be seen from the results of working on the SPLDV questions by students which are made based on mathematical reasoning indicators. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Krian as many as 4 students who had played the Ganjaran. The test instrument used in this study was a 5-point SPLDV reasoning question with short answers. From the results of the study, the average value of students' mathematical reasoning abilities was 56.25 which was quite sufficient. Overall, the indicator of mathematical reasoning ability that is mostly mastered by students is indicator c (drawing conclusions, compiling evidence, providing reasons or evidence for the correctness of the solution), while the indicator of student mathematical reasoning that is less mastered by students is indicator a (proposing conjectures).

Abstract

This research explores ethnomathematics in Udeng Pacul Gowang Sidoarjo. The research method used is a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach. The data collection technique used in this research is observation and the data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. The results of this research prove that there are several mathematical concepts in Udeng Pacul Gowang Sidoarjo which include straight lines, curved lines, flat shapes, and the concept of congruence.
