Abstract

Energy consumption forecasting, especially premium, is an integral part of energy management. Premium is a type of energy that receives government subsidy. Unfortunately, premium forecastings being performed have considerable high error resulting difficulties on reaching planned subsidy target and exploding the amount. In this study forecasting was conducted using multilinear regression (MLR) method with ten candidate predictor variables. The result shows that only four variables which are inflation, selling price disparity between pertamanx and premium, economic growth rate, and the number of car, dictate premium consumption. Analsys on the MLR model indicates that the model has a considerable low error with the mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) of 5.18%. The model has been used to predict 2013 primium consumption with 1.05% of error. The model predicted that 2013 premium consumption was 29.56 million kiloliter, while the reality was 29.26 million kiloliter.

Abstract

Development of a region is a vital issue for the survival of the area. One way for development of a region is based on core competence. This research discusses the core competence of Bekasi region for development. This research methodsare Analytic Hierarchy Process and Interpretive Structural Modeling. Results from this research is a road map model for Bekasi region development, based on small and medium enterprises in food and beverage industry.

Abstract

Masukknya retailer asing kedalam pasar penjualan bahan bakar minyak (BBM) mengakibatkan tingkat persaingan antar stasiun pengisian bahan bakar umum (SPBU) semakin tinggi. Persaingan tidak hanya antar SPBU domestik tapi juga dengan pemain baru dari luar. Dengan kondisi persaingan yang ketat tersebut, hal utama yang harus diprioritaskan oleh para retailer agar mampu bertahan, bersaing dan tetap mengusai pasar adalah memberikan layanan yang prima dan menyediakan fasilitas pendukung yang dibutuhkan konsumen sehingga dapt memberikan kepuasan pada pelanggan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui jenis dan prioritas layanan apa dan fasilitas pendukung yang mana yang harus ada pada sebuah SPBU. Penelitian dilakukan melalui survey terhadap 211 responden dan hasilnya dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode Analisa Faktor. Hasil analisis memperlihatkan bahwa variabel yang paling mempengaruhi konsumen dalam memilih SPBU di dalam kota Jakarta adalah kejelasan tanda dan petunjuk lokasi di SPBU, sedangkan untuk SPBU di luar kota adalah tata cahaya pada waktu malam hari. Adapun variabel yang tidak mempengaruhi konsumen dalam memilih SPBU adalah ketepatan ukuran meteran bahan bakar.   ABSTRACT  Nowaday national gasoline market becomes tighter with the entrance of foreign retailers to the field. Competition is not only among domestic gas stations but also between local and foreign stations. At this situation, to survive and win the competition retailers should maintain customer satisfaction through serving good service(s) and providing facilities needed. This research aims to determine which service(s) is needed and which one is not as well what facility(s) are necessary, should be available, or can be omitted. For the purpoase, a survey was conducted. Of 211 respondents participated, the results then were analyzed using Faktor Analysis method. The findings are the most important variable to choose a city gas station is the station map and legend clarity  and station light sufficiency for out of town gas station.While the most neglible variable is the station dispenser accuracy for both city and out of town gas stations.

Abstract

Coriander is a common herb can be used as traditional medicine. One of the expected benefits of Coriander fruits is an anti-cancer. This study aims to determine the cytotoxic activity of Coriander extract (Coriandrum sativum Linn) on shrimp larvae (Artemia salina Leach) with the BSLT (Brine Shrimp Lethality Test) method. Coriander fruits was extracted using methanol solvent and maceration method, then concentrated it with a rotary evaporator until a thick extract. Cytotoxic activity test used methanol extract with several concentration : 1,000 ppm, 100 ppm, 10 ppm, and 1 ppm. The result of this research reveal that methanol extract of Coriander fruits has cytotoxic activity with LC50 value is 32.35 ppm.

Abstract

Dalam kehidupan sehari – hari kegunaan dongkrak sangat penting, terutama saat berkendara, khususnya pada mobil. Dongkrak adalah sebagai alat bantu untuk mengangkat beban kendaraan saat mengalami masalah baik di jalan maupun di bengkel atau rumah. Tetapi dalam menggunakannya, dongkrak masi sedikit sulit, terutama  bagi  wanita,  karna  membutuhkan  tenaga  yang  besar  untuk  memutar pemutar dongkrak, khususnya pada dongkrak ulir . oleh sebab itu dalam tugas akhir ini akan dilakukan modifikasi terhadap meputar dongkrak ulir tersebut. Salah satu cara modifikasinya adalah dengan memberikan roda gigi atau gear box pada pemutar dongkrak, sehingga dapat memudahkan pengguna dalam menggunakan dongkrak dan memutar dongkrak tidak memerlukan tenaga yang tidak terlalu besar, sehingga bisa juga di gunakan oleh pengguna selain laki – laki. Setelah dilakukan modifikasi, maka dilakukan pengujian dari hasil modifikasi tersebut, apakah sesuai dengan yang di inginkan oleh penulis. Dengan memberikan roda gigi pada pemutar dongkrak ulir, maka tenaga untuk memutar tidak terlalu besar,tetapi memang membutuhkan waktu yang lebih sedikit lama di bandingkan dengan sebelum dimodifikasi, yaitu pemutar dongkrak tanpa adanya roda gigi.

Abstract

This paper discusses the utilization of mixed integer linear programming (MILP) model to optimize cost for multiproject scheduling in a machine maker company. The objective is to minimize total project’s penalty cost and labor cost. The model formulated shows how to achieve the objective i.e. whether to use outsourcing or overtime to finish all projects. The model of multi-project scheduling was solved by Branch & Bound algorithm coded in Lingo 14.0 software. The case study shows that if a company wants to minimize lateness, it should use overtime instead of outsourcing, which minimize total lateness of projects by 144 days or 73.5%. Whereas, if a company wants to optimize cost, they should use outsourcing instead of overtime, which reduces total cost of about 10,873,000 IDR or 28.5%. These results indicate that the model developed is applicable for optimizing multi-project scheduling.

Abstract

This research considers the problem of reducing CO2 emissions from the Java-Bali power grid system that consists of a variety of power-generating plants: coal-fired, natural gas, oil, and renewable energy (PV, geothermal, hydroelectric, wind, and landfill gas). The problem is formulated as linear programming and solved using LINGO 10. The model was developed for a nation to meet a specified CO2 emission target. Two carbon dioxide mitigation options are considered in this study, i.e. fuel balancing and fuel switching. In order to reduce the CO2 emissions by 26% in 2021, State Electric Supply Company (PLN) has to generate up to 30% of electricity from renewable energy (RE), and the cost of electricity (COE) is expected to increase to 617.77 IDR per kWh for a fuel balancing option, while for fuel switching option, PLN has to generate 29% of electricity from RE, and the COE is expected to increase to 535.85 IDR per kWh.

Abstract

Like most cities in the world, population in Indonesia continues to grow every year. Problems that can arise from this are the increasing amount of municipal solid waste (MSW) production and the growing demand for electricity. To deal with the problems, Indonesian government runs 3R (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle) and WTE (Waste to Energy) Programs simultaneously. 3R program aims to reduce the number of waste, while WTE program aims to generate electricity as an alternative energy source. This study aims to find out the optimal proportion of MSW treated through the 3R and WTE programs. For the purpose, a goal programming model has been developed and solved using LINGO 11. The results showed that the optimal proportion of MSW through the 3R program is 49.90%, 12.37% through WTE program. This leaves 37.73% of waste untreated. The electricity generated from WTE program reached 1,229.695 GWh, total emissions that can be saved is 1,809,208.2 tons CO2 equivalent and total land-use for the programs is 4,036,239.1 m2. This study was enriched by performing some scenarios, i.e. adding budget allocation of WTE program, tightening the limit of total emission from waste management and reducing the limit of land-use for waste treatment.

Abstract

Penangkapan menggunakan alat tangkap bubu diperlukan umpan dalam upaya meningkatkan hasil tangkapan secara optimal. Tujuan penelitian untuk mempelajari penggunaan umpan yang paling efektif digunakan nelayan untuk melakukan penangkapan lobster air tawar di Danau Maninjau Sumatera Barat. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 1 Mei sampai dengan 21 Mei 2023 dengan metode Experimental Fishing dan perlakuan umpan TU = tanpa umpan, KM = keong mas, IN = ikan nila, KP = kerang pensi. Pada 2 nelayan menggunakan 20 alat tangkap bubu dengan pengulangan 10 kali penangkapan. Data yang dihimpun meliputi jumlah, berat, panjang serta parameter lingkungan. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK), jika berpengaruh nyata maka dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan jenis umpan berpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) terhadap jumlah (ekor), berat (gr), dan panjang (cm) lobster air tawar. Hasil tangkapan lobster air tawar menggunakan tanpa umpan sebanyak 3 ekor dengan berat 58 gr, kemudian dengan umpan keong mas sebanyak 56 ekor dengan berat 1802 gr, selanjutnya menggunakan umpan bangkai ikan nila 47 ekor dengan berat 1674 gr, dan umpan kerang pensi mendapatkan 7 ekor dengan berat 242 gr. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu penggunaan umpan keong mas dengan menggunakan alat tangkap bubu akan menghasilkan tangkapan lobster air tawar (Cherax quadricarinatus) lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan umpan ikan nila dan kerang pensi.   Catching using trap gear requires bait in an effort to increase the catch optimally. The purpose of the research was to study the use of the most effective bait used by fishermen to catch crayfish in Lake Maninjau, West Sumatra. The research was conducted on May 1 to May 21, 2023 with Experimental Fishing method and bait treatment TU = without bait, KM = gold snail, IN = tilapia, KP = pensi shell. In 2 fishermen using 20 bubu fishing gear with repetition of 10 times fishing. Data collected included number, weight, length and environmental parameters. This study uses a Randomized Group Design (RAK), if it has a real effect, it is continued with the Duncan test. The results showed that different types of bait had a very significant effect (P < 0.01) on the number (tails), weight (gr), and length (cm) of crayfish. The catch of crayfish using no bait is 3 tails weighing 58 gr, then with gold snail bait as many as 56 tails weighing 1802 gr, then using tilapia carcass bait 47 tails weighing 1674 gr, and pensi shell bait gets 7 tails weighing 242 gr. The conclusion of this study is that the use of gold snail bait using bubu fishing gear will produce more crayfish (Cherax quadricarinatus) catches compared to tilapia bait and pensi shells.
