Abstract

Each family wants to have a healthy and intelligent child to be grown up as a worthwhile person for parents and nation in the future. The purpose of this study was to describe the level of mother’s knowledge and supplementary feeding for infants aged 6-12 months in Gampong Blang Gandai, Jeumpa, Bireuen. The approach used in this study was quantitative approach, whereas the type of research is survey research. The research was conducted on 15 to 23 July, 2013. The results showed that the level of mother's knowledge about food additives majority was good (72.72%) and interest of the mother to give extra food was also good (81.81%). Information about food additives as well as supplementary feeding in children were in good level in amount of 77.27% and 90.90%. Keywords: supplementary feeding,  infants,  Gampong Blang Gandai

Abstract

ABSTRACTPolicy implementation of Bidikmisi scholarship 2010-2014 study research at the Diponegoro University and Semarang State University has the objective to investigate the implementation of the policy at the Diponegoro University and Semarang State University. The implementation is to know Bidikmisi scholarship policy implementation based on the theory of policy implementation by Donald S. Van Meter and Carl E. Van Horn with six indicators, which is standards and policy goals, resources, communications, disposition implementer, characteristics enforcement agencies, and social environment, economic and political.The method of answering the problem in this research is a qualitative deskripstif main data types are the words and actions. Sources of data obtained derived from primary data and secondary data. Search informants with purposive sampling system (making intentional) and accidental sampling (sampling by accident when he met at the study site). Collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documents.Bidikmisi scholarship policy is a policy of the central government through the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education (formerly the Ministry of Education and Culture) which refers to public and private universities to do the job. This policy has a major goal is to break the chain of poverty by providing opportunities high achieving students who have financial limitations for education in college. This policy has the same guidelines with all rules and regulations. However, in practice, Diponegoro University and Semarang State University had differences in management.Results from this study is expected to provide benefits for the government to regulate clearer to the college so that the principle such as right on target, right number, and timely of these policies can be achieved.Keywords: Implementation of Government Policy, Bidikmisi Scholarship

Abstract

Pemahaman konsep merupakan kemampuan seorang siswa untuk tidak sekedar mengingat, tapi dapat menjelaskan kembali suatu definisi, ciri khusus, hakikat, inti, dan isi dengan menggunakan kata-kata sendiri namun tidak mengubah kadungan makna dari informasi yang diterima. Pemahaman konsep penting dipelajari karena akan digunakan untuk mengaitkan dengan konsep-konsep lainnya. Dalam taksonomi Bloom, pemahaman konsep dikelompokkan dalam tiga indikator yaitu translasi, interpretasi, dan ekstrapolasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi rangkaian arus searah. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Tempat penelitian dalam penelitian ini ditentukan dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling area. Responden dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari satu kelas dengan jumlah subjek yaitu 30 siswa. Data diperoleh melalui tes tulis dengan bentuk uraian (essay) dengan jumlah soal sebanyak 7 butir soal. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa; (1) rata-rata pada indikator translasi sebanyak 53,7%, pada indikator interpretasi sebanyak 57,1%, serta pada indikator ekstrapolasi sebanyak 22,7%. (2) pemahaman konsep berdasarkan sub pokok bahasan rata-rata berada dalam predikat kurang sekali yakni 44,5% terutama pada konsep Hukum Ohm sebanyak 39,2% dan rangkaian sederhana sebanyak 40,6%.
Meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan metode diskusi kelompok materi akhlak terpuji kelas II-B min paya bujok Rahmawati .

Abstract

Didalam proses belajar mengajar kadang kala guru masih kurang menggunakanmetode yang sangat tepat. Pelajaran yang diberikan oleh guru secara langsung,seharusnya dapat diamati, diteliti, di hayati dan dikerjakan sendiri oleh anak didik,sehingga dapat menimbulkan kesan yang lebih lama dan tidak mudah terlupakan.Oleh karena itu media pendidikan memegang peranan penting dalam menunjangkeberhasilan proses belajar mengajar. Metode diskusi kelompok adalah merupakansalah satu metode pembelajaran yang bisa membuat siswa lebih aktif danberpartisipasi dalam proses belajar mengajar. Dalam pembelajaran ini gurumemberikan pengarahan dan bimbingan sesuai dengan materi yang akan di ajarkankepada sisiwa, yang mana siswa disuruh berdiskusi langsung kepada teman dankelompoknya. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatankualitatif dan jenis penelitiannya adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri atas 2siklus dan setiap satu siklus dua kali pertemuan. Subjek penelitian adalah siswakelas II-b pada MIN Paya Bujok yang berjumlah 36 siswa. Analisis datamenggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif komparatif dengan membandingkan kondisiawal dengan hasil-hasil yang dicapai pada setiap siklus dan analisis deskriptifkualitatif hasil observasi dan refleksi pada siklus I dan siklus II. Berdasarkan hasilpenelitian diperoleh peningkatan ketuntasan belajar siswa dalam siklus I yaitu 8siswa atau 23,53. Selanjutnya pada siklus II diperoleh hasil yang memuaskan karena29 siswa atau 85.29% berhasil mendapatkan nilai diatas KKM 70, selebihnya masihada 5 siswa atau 14.17% yang tidak tuntas. Maka dapat disimpulkan adanyapeningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada materi Akhlak Terpuji menggunakan metodediskusi pada siswa

Abstract

NFLUENCE OF NUTRITIONAL STATUS ON HYPERGLYCEMIA INCIDENCE AMONG THEGOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES: A CASE STUDY IN DEPOK CITY, 2009Several studies have shown an increasing trend of diabetes mellitus in Depok city. The objective ofthe study is to determine association of nutritional status on hyperglycemia incidence among thegovernment employees in Depok city. The study used case-control design covering 47 cases and 94controls, conducted between March – May 2009. Criteria for inclusion is government employees age40 year old or above, fasting blood glucose is 126 mg/dl for case and ≤ 126 for control group.Variabel collected for the study are fasting blood glucose, weight, height, socio-demographiccharacteristics, food consumption pattern and blood pressure. Bivariate (Chi-square test) andmultivariate (logistic regression) analysis were used to determine the association. The results revealthat hyperglycemia is significantly (p0,05) associated with body mass index (BMI) and family historyof hyperglycemia after controlling confounding factor of protein consumption. The risk ofhyperglycemia is 5,06 times among subjects with BMI ≥ 25,1 and 6,63 times among subjects withfamily history of hyperglycemia.Keywords: nutritional status, body mass index, hyperglycemiaqqqqqqqqqqqqq

Abstract

This study aims to find out: (1) the roles and responsibilities of the homeroom teacher, (2) the attention and responsibility of parents, (3) the collaborative efforts made by the homeroom teacher and parents in improving student achievement at UPT SPF SDN Cendrawasih I Makassar City and (4) Student achievement by holding collaboration between homeroom teachers and parents of students at UPT SPF SDN Cendrawasih I Makassar City. This research is a qualitative research with a Naturalistic Inquiry approach, namely how to observe and collect data in a natural setting. Then the data collection procedure through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the study show that (1) the roles and responsibilities of homeroom teachers at UPT SPF SDN Cendrawasih I Makassar City as educators, teachers, motivators, facilitators and counselors can improve student achievement. (2) The attention and responsibility of parents towards students is more thorough than that of homeroom teachers because students spend more time at home than at school. (3) Collaborative efforts made by homeroom teachers and parents in improving student achievement at UPT SPF SDN Cendrawasih I Makassar City include: familiarizing and supervising students in the discipline of studying and worship time, always providing motivation to students, establishing mutual communication good, always inform the development of student achievement to parents. (4) Student achievement at UPT SPF SDN Cendrawasih I Makassar City by holding collaboration between homeroom teachers and parents, among others, increasing class wins obtained by students.Keywords: School Quality Improvement, Education Management Standards.Keywords: homeroom teacher, parental attention, learning achievement
