Abstract

The need for LTE network is not only required by urban communities, but also rural communities. Kuantan Singingi is one of the districts in Riau province, has a lot of potential that can be developed, especially tourism. To develop the potential, Kuantan singingi needs internet network with better signal quality. To meet the needs of high quality internet in Kuantan Singingi then in this research has been done design of LTE internet network in Kuantan Singingi area by using Coverage Dimensioning method with FDD as duplex at 5 MHz bandwidth. The design is done for planning until 2020. The design results have been obtained that Kuantan Singingi requires 54 eNodeBs with cell radius about 6690 meters. In addition, the average RSRP -80dBm obtained with the widest coverage area reaches 99.5%. Then the uplink service area reaches 100% for using 16QAM 3/5 modulation, while downlink service area reaches 71% for QPSK 3/5 modulation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini melakukan pengujian usability pada personal website. Pengujian fokus pada pemilihan terbaik antara penerapan sidebar kanan atau kiri. Pengujian usability menggunaan System Usability Scale (SUS). Pengambilan datanya menggunakan kuesioner yang diberikan ke responden berjumlah 16 pengguna. Responden terdiri dari 8 pengguna yang memiliki dominan tangan kanan dan 8 pengguna yang memiliki dominan tangan kiri. Hasil pengujian usability pada sidebar kanan mendapatkan skor 80 dan sidebar kiri mendapatkan skor 59. Dari hasil pengujian usability, sidebar kanan mendapatkan skor yang lebih tinggi. Selain pengambilan data menggunakan SUS, dilakukan juga wawancara kepada semua responden. Hasilnya pengguna lebih menyukai sidebar berada di sebelah kanan.

Abstract

The farm sector is the sector that has the most potential in the progress of the Aufia pesantren. So far, farms in the Aufia Islamic boarding school are only given whole animal feed from the weeds found in the pesantren. This is certainly not effective because as time goes on and when the farm is growing, it will be difficult to get maximum animal feed. So we need a chopper technology to destroy food waste and agricultural products that have not been utilized which can then be consumed by the animals. The purpose of this activity is to optimize the potential of pesantren by processing an integrated mobile feed system to meet the nutrition and quantity of growth and development of sheep. This chopper machine can chop animal feed ingredients in the form of leaves and weeds in the pesantren environment more optimally. The research method used is the socialization of the chopping machine and continued with demonstrations on the use of the chopper and the fermentation process. The result of this activity is that the chopper machine functions well and can chop animal feed raw materials in the form of weeds, palm leaves and other plants perfectly, easy to operate and move by the students at the pesantren which will then be fermented for long-term storage.

Abstract

The current website of Informatics Programme at Riau University is being redesign. This process need to be done because the past design had a few shortcomings, such as not being responsive and less attactive to user, in term of UI. To figure out weather the new design meets the UX aspects, it is necessary to make an evaluation. This research does that evaluation about current website User Interface (UI) using UEQ. UEQ,as for today, is consider a fast and simple tools to test UX aspects of certain website.  The UEQ will be distributed to 50 respondents which is Informatics Programme’s student. This respondent consist of 25 men and 25 women. Respondent data was analyzed using UEQ Data Analysis Tools. The result was 4 aspects which is consider good, such as attractiveness, efficiency, dependability and stimulation. There was 1 aspect which score above average, namely perspicuity. One last aspect was score below average, which is novelty. From this research result, in general the UI design and UX aspects of this website is consider good. However, to reach maximum performance some adjustment need to be done. Especially from the perspicuity ascpect. The developer need to clarify the way to use this website. The approach can be taken from general web design principal. As for novelty aspects, improvement need to be done to its content with creative and inovatif idea. This will bring unique value for informatics programme website compare to another sites.

Abstract

Media information has a very important role in efforts to attract prospective students to join. A website needs to be improved in the era of large technological developments. One of the new information media that utilizes the latest technology is a virtual tour. If you look at some of the previous ones, making a virtual tour can be made using panoramic photos made with image stitching techniques from many photos and can also use 3-dimensional engineering results. Both ways have their advantages and disadvantages. In this study, we will combine panoramic photos and 3D engineering to create a virtual tour of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Riau University. Virtual tour created using an equirectangular image base. There are 10 locations included in the virtual tour which four of them use panoramic photos and the remaining six places use 3D engineering. Four panoramic photos and six 3D-engineered equirectangular shapes are combined into one virtual tour. To validate the results of combining panoramic photos and 3D engineering into a virtual tour, user experience testing was conducted using a user experience questionnaire. User experience questionnaire was  distributed to 30 respondents. As a result, four scales are in the excellent category: attractiveness, dependability, stimulation, and novelty. Then two scales are included in the good category, namely perspicuity and efficiency, which get a value of 1.78. From the user experience perspective, virtual tours resulting from a combination of panoramic photos and 3D engineering in general can be considered very good. Then this combination of panoramic photos and 3D engineering can be used as a solution for virtual tour documentation if several locations are inadequate to document

Abstract

Desa Tanah Merah merupakan salah satu desa yang ada di kecamatan Siak Hulu, Kabupaten Kampar, Provinsi Riau. Saat ini seluruh proses administrasi desa dikerjakan manual, disamping itu jumlah tenaga kerja di kantor desa terbatas sehingga pelayanan di kantor desa cukup memakan waktu. Tim Universitas Riau melakukan kegiatan berupa pembuatan sistem informasi administrasi berbasis web dan mobile. Pada kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini tim pengabdian menerapkan suatu teknologi dengan membangun Sistem Informasi Desa berupa website yang berisi informasi tentang desa, dan sistem administrasi surat berbasis web dan mobile untuk membantu pegawai kantor dan masyarakat desa Tanah Merah dalam mengajukan surat keterangan domisili, keterangan untuk mencari pekerjaan dan keterangan untuk menikah. Sistem ini digunakan oleh pegawai kantor desa dalam mengelola administrasi kantor desa, aplikasi mobile digunakan oleh masyarakat desa melakukan pendaftaran dan permintaan surat keterangan yang diperlukan. Sistem informasi desa telah dapat diakses secara online dengan alamat www.desatanahmerah.com dan aplikasi Android telah dapat diunduh melalui Playstore.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah pengembangan aplikasi pembelajaran online berbasis etnomatematika (POBE) di perguruan tinggi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan yang tujuannya adalah merancang suatu model atau produk. Penelitian ini dibatasi pada ujian POBE untuk sekelompok calon guru sekolah dasar dari program Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar yang ada perguruan tinggi di Provinsi Riau, Indonesia. Data yang digunakan berupa studi dokumentasi dan FGD. Pelaksanaan penelitian mengikuti kerangka penelitian. Pertama, tahap analisis masalah dan potensi. Kedua, tahap melakukan studi teoritis, studi literatur dan dokumentasi. Ketiga, tahap mengamati objek penelitian dan merancang kerangka pengembangan. Keempat, tahap desain produk awal dan uji validitas. Dari hasil validitas produk dan berdasarkan masukan ahli dan penilaian calon guru SD, dilakukan revisi terhadap produk yang dikembangkan agar mendapatkan produk akhir untuk digunakan dalam perkuliahan. Berdasarkan hasil validasi (penilaian formatif) oleh para ahli, kemudian dilakukan revisi, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa produk POBE telah memenuhi kriteria valid dengan kriteria sangat baik sehingga layak untuk digunakan oleh mahasiswa di perguruan tinggi.

Abstract

Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat dilatar belakangi oleh pentingnya media pembelajaran virtual lab berbasis android pada materi suhu dan kalor. Tujuan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini untuk medeskripsikan tampilan media pembelajaran virtual lab berbasis android pada materi suhu dan kalor, menganalisis hasil uji validasi, dan kelayakan media. Metode Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Tampilan virtual lab terdiri dari delapan menu utama, yaitu splash screen, menu awal, kompetensi inti, kompetensi dasar, praktikum, glosarium, daftar pustaka, daftar isi. Virtual lab menyajikan praktikum suhu dan kalor yang berkaitan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari yang dilengkapi dengan animasi, gambar dan soal-soal. Kemudian pengguna harus mengisi pretest untuk mengetahui pemahaman awal, mengikuti serangkaian praktikum dan mengisi posttest untuk mengetahui pemahamannya. Informasi data peneliti dapat dilihat pada menu penyusun. Hasil uji validasi diperoleh dengan nilai rata-rata 89,32 %. Hasil uji kelayakan diperoleh nilai rata-rata 90,25 %. Berdasarkan hasil uji validasi dan kelayakan produk, virtual lab ini layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Uang kertas Rupiah adalah alat pembayaran utama yang dipakai oleh masyarakat, tetapi minimnya pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai perawatan dan ciri kelayakannya menyebabkan kerusakan Uang Rupiah. Bank Indonesia mencoba mengatasi masalah ini dengan kampanye "Cinta Bangga Paham Rupiah," namun akan sulit mencapai seluruh masyarakat hanya dengan edukasi itu saja. Oleh karena itu, dikembangkan sistem "Klasifikasi Uang Rupiah Tidak Layak Edar dengan CNN Xception Transfer Learning berbasis Website”. Metode ini memadukan deep learning yakni Convolutional Neural Network bermodel Xception dengan metode Transfer Learning, pemilihan Xception dipilih karena mempunyai arsitektur yang kompleks namun efisien dalam penggunaan waktunya dan memiliki akurasi yang tinggi untuk melakukan klasifikasi gambar, menghasilkan model akurat dengan waktu pelatihan singkat. Menggunakan dataset 14 kelas uang Rupiah emisi 2016, termasuk 7 pecahan yang layak dan tidak. Hasil akhir menunjukkan akurasi 99,22% untuk pelatihan, 96,19% untuk validasi, dan 93,57% untuk pengujian, disamping untuk mengembangkan metode deep learning menggunakan CNN Xception dengan Transfer Learning, dengan model hasil penelitian ini akan diimplementasikan kedalam website, hal ini bertujuan untuk memudahkan dan membantu masyarakat dalam mengetahui kelayakan uang kertas Rupiah yang mereka punya.

Abstract

Laboratories usually have different tools, materials, documents, and a lot of other content. At the University of Riau, especially the Faculty of Engineering, it is filled with many laboratories. Starting with a computer network laboratory and chemical laboratory, machine laboratory, and many more. Currently information about laboratories cannot be found on the internet, and it is still difficult to access information about laboratories. This research focuses on creating a back-end system that can later be implemented in the development of a laboratory information system. This development process uses the V-Shaped model as a reference in the manufacturing stages. The system that has been made will be tested using the unit testing, integration testing, and system testing methods with ISO 25010 as a reference standard in determining the quality of the tests carried out. The results of testing the system obtained very good results with A results on reliability, maintainability, and security testing. In testing the efficiency of the system in getting a response time 80ms average on each page. White box testing also obtained results that all the features and data in the system were functioning and matched as they should.
