One of types of normal human emotion is being angry. Unadaptive anger is passive and aggressive, meanwhile, adaptive anger is assertive. Adolescent phase is critical phase in searching for self identity. Uncontrol anger in adolescent phase causes violent behavior and it has negative impact for the personnel, group, and environment. Moreover, this research aimed at identifying the influence of assertive training against the control of teenagerâs anger at Junior High School in Surabaya, East Java-Indonesia. The researchers utilized queasy experiment method through pretest â posttest approach with control group by utilizing consecutive sampling technique. Meanwhile, data collection utilized questionnaire. There were two kinds of questionnaires which were used, which were for screening and for prepost-test. Assertive training aimed at improving teenagerâs control while they were angry. Research result showed that the decrease of anger was significant between before and after being given assertive training (p < 0.05). The difference of anger score between in control group and in treatment group was significant (p = 0.05). However, assertive training could be used as alternative way in order to improve teenagerâs control while they were in angry emotion rather than other therapies. Waste pickers are those who collect, sort and sell recyclable waste for a living. Waste pickers are vulnerable to various health problems, particularly high risk of occupational health. This study intended to overview the capability of the waste picker to manage the emergency care due to their unsafe working condition. It is a descriptive study involving 48 waste pickers. The study revealed the poor knowledge and practices of the waste pickers in handling their emergency care. Therefore, it exacerbates their health and become riskier to diseases and illness. Improving the knowledge of the waste pickers regarding the emergency care and the provision of health programs accommodating the waste pickers is necessary.

Communication errors in the treatment process will have an impact on the safety and security of patients in the hospital. The emergence of wrong perceptions among health professionals can result in conflict or harm to the patient, leading to lawsuits. The purpose of this study was to identify the nurse's ability to communicate effectively the SBAR technique on patient safety in the hospital. The study used cross-sectional design. Subjects were 225 nurses that they worked at medical surgical ward of 2 hospitals in East Java, selected using cluster sampling technique in July 2019. Independent variable was effective communication-SBAR (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation) technique and dependent variable was patients safety goals. Ordinal regression test was used to analyze the influence of effective communication-SBAR on patient safety goals. The Most of the nurses had received training in effective communication and patient safety. The majority of nurses had good skills on SBAR-based effective communication, but more than half of nurses had low patient safety goals. The conclusion is: effective communication of SBAR has no significant effect on patient safety objectives. This is due to other factors that can affect the implementation of effective communication for patient safety. Keywords: effective communication; patient safety; hospital

Methods: This type of research is analytic observational, cross sectional design. The population of this research is the second grade junior high school students in Surabaya. The sample size is 210 people. Sampling with probability sampling type multistage sampling. The variables studied were self-regulation and external driving factors. Data analysis using SEM. Results: The regulation of self-care in adolescents in physical activities and sports is mostly sufficient, the regulation of eating is sufficient, stress management is mostly sufficient, efforts to avoid smoking are mostly sufficient and monitoring of ideal body weight is mostly lacking. Analysis using the t test showed that there was a significant influence between the driving factors for self-regulation with p = 0.022. AbstractThe success of preventing sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) not only depends on a well-organised collaboration among government, health professionals and NGOs but also active participation of group with high risk, including commercial sex workers (CSWs), on the transfer of STDs. Involving this high risk group is crucial on preventing STDs transmission. Determining the effectiveness of Group Therapy Model (GTM) through an intensive problem solving group on promoting healthy sexual behavior was the intention of this study. The variables are knowledge, attitude and practice STDs. It is a pre-experimental study using Pretest-Post test type design. The samples involving 20 CSWs devided into two groups of 10 CSWs for each. Each group was intervened three times with GTM on the same subject. Statistical analysis using paired t-test, conclusion of accepting the research hypothesis. There is significant difference of knowledge, attitude and practices on STDs before and after the implementation of GTM among the CSWs. It is, therefore, adviced to consider GTM on preventing the transmission of STDs among high-risk groups.

Introduction: Weakness among stroke patients causes obstacles when fulfilling their activities in daily living (ADL). This condition also has an impact on the caregivers who provide daily care at home. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of independent ADL among the stroke patients on caregiver burden. Methods: The study used an analytical design through a cross-sectional approach. The variables included independent ADL and caregiver burden. A sample of 120 caregivers was taken from 2 community health centers in Surabaya through simple random sampling. The instruments used were Zarit Burden's Interview Schedule and the Katz Index of Independent for ADL. Regression ordinal was used to analyze the influence of independent ADL among stroke patients on caregiver burden. Results: The results showed that the caregiver who take care of stroke patients with severe functional impairment will feel burdened 3 times more than no burden. Post-stroke care at home through a rehabilitation program plays an important role in improving the condition of patients and their families at home, especially the caregivers. Conclusion: Nurses in a community health center through the family health care pathway provide comprehensive bio-psycho-socio-spiritual care in the rehabilitation period as expected. They are expected to improve and maintain the fulfillment of human needs comprehensively for stroke patients and their caregivers, so the quality of life of stroke patients, caregivers and their families remains optimal.

The unhealthy behaviours very often relate with the negative perception of a healthy lifestyles. The aim of the study was to describe individual perceptions in the prevention of hypertension among adolescents. The study used cross-sectional design. A sample of 210 students was taken from 2nd grade junior high school in Surabaya through multistage sampling. The variable included individual perception in the prevention of hypertension involve the perceived susceptibility and the perception of seriousness. Instrument used was a questionnaire with closed-ended questions. Descriptive analysis was used to represent the individual perceptions in the prevention of hypertension. The perceived susceptibility to hypertension was mostly good (99.5%), and the perception of seriousness of hypertension was half good (51.4%). Adolescents' perceptions can provide an estimate of the prevention of hypertension. One of the factors influencing adolescents' perception of hypertension is related to knowledge.
