Public Elementary School 18 Pekanbaru is one of autonomous adiwiyata school in 2012. The program done in this school is compost production. However, this act had not used effective microorganisms (EM4) so it caused more time consuming and ineffective for plants fertilizer. To overcome this problem, volunteer team conducted compost production training by using effective microorganisms (EM4) for teachers in Public Elementary School 18 Pekanbaru. The purpose of this activity is to increase teachers’ knowledge about making compost by adding effective microorganisms (EM4). Demonstration and practice method was used in this activity. This program was conducted for two days in which the first day for delivering theory information and demonstration/practice about impulse sealer utilization. In the second day was conducted compost production training by using EM4. This activity located in Public Elementary School 18 Pekanbaru was conducted in several steps, namely: preparation step, implementation step, and evaluation step. Based on evaluation questionnaire result which was given to Public Elementary School 18 Pekanbaru teachers obtained information that approximately 72,7% teachers’ knowledge increased after training activity.

This study was conducted to create and validate the instruments test of prechemistry teacher’s knowledge about health and safety work in laboratory. This instrument will be used to obtain information about prechemistry teacher’s knowledge about health and safety work in laboratory. This research has been conducted using Research and Development (R & D) design that was developed by adopting 4D development model consisting of 4 stages: define, design, develop and dissemination. However, this research only reached the develop stage. Data analysis was performed to test the validity and reliability of the tests. Data processing was performed using IBM-SPSS 20 software. The results of this study showed that the test was valid and was feasible to implement based on the CVI value of 0.847. The reliability test of prechemistry teacher’s knowledge about health and safety work in laboratory was obtained at 0.766, its mean that the reliability of the tests was classified as in high category. Thus this instrument can be used to determine the level of prechemistry teacher’s knowledge about health and safety work in laboratory. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk membuat dan memvalidasi instrumen tes keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa calon guru kimia. Instrumen ini akan digunakan untuk memperoleh informasi tentang bagaimana keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa calon guru kimia sebagai bentuk kesiapen menghadapi era industri 4.0. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan desain Research and Development (R & D) yang dikembangkan dengan mengadopsi model pengembangan 4D yang terdiri dari 4 tahap: define, desain, pengembangan, dan diseminasi. Namun, penelitian ini hanya mencapai tahap pengembangan. Analisis data dilakukan untuk menguji validitas dan reliabilitas tes. Pemrosesan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak IBM-SPSS 20. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tes itu valid dan layak untuk diterapkan berdasarkan nilai CVI 0,9. Uji reliabilitas tes kemampuan berpikir kritis calon guru kimia menunjukkan angka 0,800, yang berarti bahwa reliabilitas tes dapat diklasifikasikan ke dalam kategori tinggi. Dengan demikian instrumen ini dapat digunakan untuk menentukan tingkat keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa calon guru kimia. Meskipun terdapat beberapa bagian dari instrumen yang harus diperbaiki.

Static achievement of Indonesian students in TIMSS, of course requires improvement efforts. One of the improvement efforts can be done by conducting further studies related to the results of Indonesia's achievements in TIMSS. The aim of this study to describe the chemistry content and the of science learning in junior high school based on K-13. This research is a descriptive study with content analysis method. Content analysis was carried out on documents related to K-13 specifically the content standards, the learning process, syllabus and science textbooks of junior high school. The results showed that there are chemistry contents in science learning of junior high school. The chemistry contents contained in science learning of junior high school is divided into 6 main subjects and 5 demands of cognitive abilities, namely C1, C2, C3, C4 and C6, while the demands of cognitive ability C5 (evaluating) are not contained in the Chemistry content in science learning of junior high school . This study aims to develop and obtain eligible online learning media by using moodle for general chemistry subjects by using moodle. In this study, flash animation and simulation were integrated as online media in moodle to attract students’ motivation. The topic in this moodle was a colloidal solution. The method of this study was the research and development method by using ADDIE model. Online learning media was validated by media and chemistry material experts, then the valid media presented to the 24 chemistry education students in Universitas Islam Riau to acquire responses toward online learning media. The results showed that online learning media is eligible and can be used as online learning media in which the average number of expert assessment reached higher than 80% with valid criteria. In addition, students’ responses toward online learning media by using moodle is positive in all aspects (interesting design; color, picture, and video preference; creativity and innovation; communication) with the average number of percentage more than 84% (good criteria). Overall, based on the results of online learning media by using moodle for general chemistry subject can be used as learning media to give students experience in online learning

This research aimed at describing the validity of Macromedia Flash based Interactive Multimedia on Human Circulatory System material and describing student and teacher responses to Macromedia Flash based Interactive Multimedia on Human Circulatory System material. This research was instigated by the conventional instructional media used by the teacher, and the lack of school facility utilization to support the learning process. It was Research and Development (R&D) with Borg and Gall development model. The subjects of this research were 31 students at the fifth grade of Islamic Elementary School of Al-Ikhwan Pekanbaru in the Academic Year of 2019/2020, and the object was Macromedia Flash based Interactive Multimedia on Human Circulatory System material. Instruments of collecting the data were interview, documentation, validation sheet given to the experts of media and material to measure the validity of Macromedia Flash based Interactive Multimedia on Human Circulatory System material, and questionnaire of teacher and student responses to see teacher and student responses to Macromedia Flash based Interactive Multimedia developed on Human Circulatory System material. The obtained data then were analyzed by using qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. Based on the research and data analysis, it could be concluded that Macromedia Flash based Interactive Multimedia on Human Circulatory System material at the fifth grade of Islamic Elementary School of Al-Ikhwan Pekanbaru, especially in the final product developed, passed the valid criterion with mean scores of the assessments of media experts 96% and material experts 94.5%, it was on very good category and it was proper to be tested. After testing, Macromedia Flash based Interactive Multimedia on Human Circulatory System material at the fifth grade of Islamic Elementary School of Al-Ikhwan Pekanbaru showed 100% percentage result for the small group test and 100% percentage result for the field test, and it was on very good category. The result of teacher response to Macromedia Flash based Interactive Multimedia on Human Circulatory System material at the fifth grade of Islamic Elementary School of Al-Ikhwan Pekanbaru was 98.2% percentage, and it was on very good category.

This research was conducted to identify and describe prospective teachers’ critical thinking skills profile as readiness to face the industrial revolution 4.0. This research was a descriptive research. Research subjects were chemistry education students who are prospective chemistry teachers. The instruments used in this study were the Critical Thinking Ability Test and Critical Thinking Ability Questionnaire. The instrument used is valid and reliable. The results of the study showed that the critical thinking skills of prospective chemistry teacher students are still in sufficient criteria with average score 46,7. It was also found that students' critical thinking skills in 5th semester were better than those in semester 3rd and 1st with average score 57,46 and 41. This result was also supported by differences in student performance for each indicator of critical thinking skills. Chemistry students show better performance on indicators of building basic skills compared to other critical thinking skills indicators. Meanwhile, the indicators on building strategies and tactics of chemistry education students still showed poor performance than other indicators. This needs to be improved immediately in order to prepare prospective chemistry teachers who are ready to compete in facing the industrial revolition 4.0. Improvements can be made by designing learning methods, teaching materials and evaluation tools that can improve students' critical thinking skills.Keywords: critical thinking skill, education 4.0., prospective chemistry teachers, revolutioanl industry 4.0ABSTRAK.Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mendeskripsikan profil keterampilan berpikir kritis calon guru kimia sebagai kesiapan dalam menghadapi revolusi industri 4.0. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Subjek penelitian merupakan mahasiswa pendidikan kimia yang merupakan calon guru kimia. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes keterampilan berpikir kritis dan kuisioner keterampilan berpikir kritis. Instrumen yang digunakan sudah valid dan reliabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan berpikir kritis calon guru kimia masih berada pada kriteria cukup yaitu dengan skor rata-rata 46,7. Selain itu juga ditemukan bahwa keterampilan berpikir kritis mahasiswa semester 5 lebih baik dibandingkan semester 3 dan semester 1 dengan skor rata-rata masing-masingnya yaitu 57, 46 dan 41. Hasil ini juga didukung dengan adanya perbedaan performa mahasiswa untuk masing-masing indikator keterampilan berpikir kritis. Calon guru kimia menunjukkan performa yang lebih baik pada indikator membangun keterampilan dasar dibandingkan dengan indikator keterampilan berpikir kritis lainnya. Sementara itu, pada indikator membangun strategi dan taktik calon guru kimia masih menunjukkan performa yang kurang baik dibandingkan dengan indikator yang lainnya. Hal ini perlu segera diperbaiki guna mempersiapkan calon guru kimia yang siap bersaing menghadapi era revolusi industri 4.0. Perbaikan dapat dilakukan dengan cara merancang metode pembelajaran, bahan ajar dan alat evaluasi yang dapat mengasah keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Peningkatan jenjang karir guru mengalami penurunan. Permasalahan yanga ada susahnya guru dalam melaksanakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Untuk itu dilakukan upaya untuk menigkatkan pemahaman guru tentang PTK melalui workshop penelitain tindakan kelas untuk peningkatan jenjang jarir guru. Tujuannya ialah agar guru mampu membuat draft proposal PTK dan membuat laporannya sehingga dapat digunakan untuk peningkatan karir guru. Kegiatan tersebut diikuti oleh 35 peserta terdiri dari guru-guru matematika SMP yang ada di Pelalawan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode ceramah dan demonstrasi secara tatap muka/luring. Kegiatan diakhiri dengan pengisian lembar wawancara oleh guru dan lembar angket oleh mitra. Berdasarkan lembar wawancara, 90% guru tertarik dengan materi yang disampaikan. Guru-guru merasa termotivasi untuk melaksanakan PTK di kelasnya dan sudah mulai paham dari mana memulai untuk melakukan PTK. Berdasarkan lembar angket, mitra sangat puas dengan adanya kegiatan workshop ini dan bersedia untuk diadakan lagi kegiatan tersebut sebagai tindaklanjutnya

Penyakit mitokondria merupakan salah satu penyakit maternal yang belum dapat disembuhkan. Salah satu cara untuk menurunkan angka penyakit mitokondria yaitu melalui terapi pengganti mitokondria (Mitochondrial Replacement Therapy). Artikel ini bertujuan untuk membahas teknik Mitochondrial Replacement Therapy (MRT) dari aspek moral melalui kajian teoritis dari berbagai referensi yang sesuai. Menghindari terjadinya dehumanisasi terhadap penerapan teknik MRT, maka teknik MRT terikat oleh nilai (value-bound) yang diatur melalui berbagai kebijakan pemerintah. Selanjutnya, teknik MRT dapat dipandang dari paham deontologi dan paham teleologi. Paham deontologi dalam teknik MRT memberikan rekomendasi cara yang baik dalam melaksanakan MRT melalui aturan kebijakan pemerintah. Di sisi lain, paham teleologi mengarahkan teknik MRT hanya boleh diberikan kepada pasien dengan tujuan untuk mencegah penularan penyakit mitokondria yang parah. Kedepannya dapat dilakukan pengkajian perkembangan teknik MRT dari waktu ke waktu ditinjau dari perkembangan gagasan ilmiah. Perkembangan gagasan ilmiah yang diangkat mulai dari perkembangan rekayasa genetika, munculnya fertilisasi in-vitro sampai kepada pengembangan teknik fertilisasi in-vitro.
